Pat McAfee has a great show.  Interesting to hear his thoughts on the Ertz trade.  Not a good look for the Eagles when national talking heads are saying it's bad to go to Philly and Sirianni.

After wasting my time watching it, I have determined that you have overreacted x1000.

I thought I was going to hear him bash the eagles FO, owner, coach, city, etc.

All he said was Tay just went from a contender, to a worse team. Everyone knows that.

LOL, it's just strange for me to hear people say that the Cardinals are more desirable to play for than the Eagles.

5-0 vs 2-4.

I know but in general.  It's like the guy on here who has the Eagles are the new Browns footer....kind of true but hard to swallow.

well, they are a winning team right now. So.... its to be expected.

Tay wont have a path to playing time on a team like that. Philly may be a better situation for him at this point in his career. Late round pick guy needs opportunities or else hes out of the league quick. In Philly, easier path to opportunities.

You dont need to even try to swallow that, because its not true. Thats an incredibly stupid thing for that guy to say.

I get it.  I'm still hoping the Eagles address CB early and often in the draft limiting his opportunities here anyway.

Theres a chance they cant afford Nelson, or Slay. And really shouldnt even try to afford Slay because of his age.

We can draft one in round 1, and Tay might still find himself starting next year.

I agree that it's not true but Andrew Berry is currently running circles around Howie Roseman and that's where a lot of this mess starts.

Hate shootouts. That's like having an overtime where they just kick field goals back and forth.

In my mind, Nelson is a 1-year rental and I don't think he's here next year...unless some team offers something they can't pass up for Slay this year and they are almost forced to bring Nelson back.  I don't see either scenario happening though.

I'm pretty sure we're stuck with Slay because of his salary and he has the buyout after 2022 but I could be wrong on that?  I'd be interested to see if he could transition to FS.

And the Flyers lose in a shootout.  Typical.  This team has been consistently poor at SOs.

The 3rd was Beer by Reel Big Fish which I like but not much as a goal song.

They played this in the preseason which I've always loved and the video never hurts

Why did they change Bro Hymn?

I think the most cost effective plan that puts a decent product on the field is retaining Nelson and draft the other starter in round 1.

Most likely letting Slay's contract expire.

Nelson sat on the open market for weeks and weeks. Teams arent knocking down his door with bags of money. He is playing well, but a sub-premium price on the extension should be doable.

That doesn’t sound bad.

Or maybe they can do 5 red zone series of 7v7 and most TDs win. Make it more of a practice environment where teams don’t stand a chance against us.

Not that it really matters, but it seems like the overwhelming opinion on Twitter is that Cardinals fans are disappointed to see Gowan go even if he hadn’t played a snap. Kinda weird.

Hasn't Gowan played zero snaps this year?

Or do you think your 'yes man' Sirianni is calling the game that Lowie wants him to?

I'm at odds that anyone can be so dense to keep being this stupid and doing the same ish over and over when it clearly doesn't work.  We all see it and none of us have played/coached in the NFL so how do 'professionals' not see it?  So he's either incredibly stupid or just doing what his employers want him to do and I think we can all agree that Lowie is stupid and arrogant since the SB win.

I do want to see if Minshew can play in Siri's system.  We already know Hurts can't, at least he struggles to be mediocre at this point.  He's not seeing the reads.  I want to see how the O operates with Minshew, if we'll see more running plays off RPOs, if we'll see the ball out sooner, if we'll see more throws over the middle (and more than 5 yards as well), etc.  I can't make a full decision of Siri's ineptitude or competence until I see another QB take the reigns and I'd rather see Minshew than a cooked Flacco.

I do have an issue with the snap count from last night's game.  How the F does Gainwell only get 12 snaps (23% of O snaps) while Mr. I Don't Know How To Run OOB gets 43 (83%)?  How does Reagahor get more snaps than Quez (OK, it was only 3 more, but still)?  And on D, the DL starters got way more snaps than the 2nd string so no wonder the DL looked gassed. Where's the rotation for fresh legs?  It shows how bad we need to draft a DE early when Barnett gets 87% of the D snaps.  That should NEVER happen.

I didn't know what to think of the Sirianni hire, but I did like that he seemed to put together a young staff of coaches with upside in quick fashion.  Now, I'm seeing a coaching staff that looks in over their collective heads.  Problem is it all starts with Lowie and ish flows downhill.

Yup, I'm taking everything this coaches ng staff does with a grain of salt as Lowie are behind the scenes pulling the strings and when it all goes to hell they cut the strings until and string up another puppet to be the scape goat.

That Lowie has any input on GameDay actives and game plan According to analytics is worrisome

His job is to get players for the coaches and work on contract ect...

Somehow Lurie has given Howie, a bean counter say in game day actives and starters and game plan???

I don't know of any other organization where the GM has input on the gameplan, maybe there are others but it seems ludicrous to me.
