If Pitts is in the slot I'd assume Wallace will be the primary guy on him?  I could be wrong but that's my assumption.  If that is the matchup, it could be a long day if they give Matt Ryan any sort of time.

They’ll probably have Harris cover him in the slot and Nelson cover him outside.

Who am I thinking of then?  Taller/white WR on opening day who the Eagles couldn't stop.  I want to say it was 1999 or 2000.

Hmmm I'll think about it lol. Ed McCaffrey sounds like a good candidate lol but he wasn't a rookie them either. Hmm

Nah, wasn't him.  For some reason I had it in my head that the Eagles had Brian Finneran all pre-season only to cut him, have him claimed by someone and he caught the game winning TD against them in week 1.  Maybe I'm crazy and that's some dream I had.

Sounds like you combined Finneran + Jurevicius + someone else.

Jurevicius has to be the guy

Just checked Finneran didn't do Jack sheet against the eagles his entire career

No one jumps out to me right away. I'm sure there are examples. And again I really like Pitts. So hey it's possible.

Just seems like a position where the vast majority of players take some time to adjust. Even studs.

WK 1 Brian Finneran droped a pass that was then intercepted, and was cut that week, Falcons picked him up and he became a good WR for them. While we struggled with less thans

Sounds like a PED

Yes, I'm sure the falcons plan on having out to receive more then anything but, I'm sure  he still needs to learn the blocking scheme and learn when to stay in to help or chip on blitz pick ups. Tight ends have more to learn then Just a WR

Thanks for the info. I was trying to piece it together, too, but couldn’t quite figure it out.

but how often do receivers go nuts in their first game in the NFL?

One should be very easy to figure out.  It's all good though, we drafted JJAWful.

Four 2019 rookies launched that notion into the star-soaked heavens in Week 1.

Baltimore Ravens receiver

blasted off for 147 yards and two touchdowns on four catches, Detroit Lions tight end   gobbled up 131 and a TD on six snags,   Redskins WR   dashed for 125 yards on 5 snatches with a score, and Tennessee Titans wideout

galloped for 100 yards on three catches.

Between this and Jason Peters, I mean Tyron Smith always being injured, their OL will be in trouble.  Bafarty is probably losing his mind.

Just in time for Bosa too hahahaha!

Cowboys losing Collins and Gallup for the next 5 games is a big deal. I think we beat them in our first matchup.

Keep picking these guys to be great, it warms my heart even more when they crash and burn again and again.

See my edited post, it was against the Eagles, the year we drafted JJAWful
