This is also an incredibly memorializing loss for MIA, the bottom can really fall out for them after this.

You're not alone.

Thank yew Jags!!

Flores and Shanahan probably the 2 most over rated HCs right now.

That was an incredibly smart play with 5 seconds to go.

THANKS JAGS!!!!

Good work Jags. Now, the Eagles have to take care of their own business. Two top 5 picks here we come!

Howie said we didn't see Jackson is pre-season, only camp. The writer seems to agree.

I swear I remember him making plays in 1 or 2 pre-season games. Didn't he??

Game 1, I think.

So apparently Howie doesnt even pay attention to pre-season games at all, and then sets the final roster.

Careful... you are starting to sound like an anti-Howie troll.

Does the head to head not put Miami at 2?

When do the Dolphins make their panic trade for Watson?

Dolphins at 1-5 are not making the playoffs. Playoffs in the AFC is taking at least 9-8 (likely 10-7). They would have to go 8-3 at a minimum to have a shot. This Miami team is not doing that.

Dolphins have games against the Jets x 2, Giants, Falcons and Texans left...so we're not getting a top 5 pick from them. However, they're now in prime position to go 6-11, which is anywhere from 8-12. That's not elite prospect, but in the tier below. Fantastic outcome.

Studio summarises over here in UK just made an interesting comment about that last throw.

Said that the jags would have informed the refs before the play of their intentions, thereby getting the time out almost automatically.

Are they allowed to do that 🤔🤷‍♂️

So you are saying that 7 teams will win 5 or fewer games?

They just lost to arguably the worst team in football. 5 more wins isn't going to be easy for them.

It's happened before. The Lions/Jags/Jets/Texans are so bad. The Giants could easily draft in the top 5. Just need 1 or 2 more teams to collapse (ex: LV, Atlanta, NE, etc).

Obviously I hope Miami loses out. Their schedule is just much easier in the 2nd half.

Whats even worse is Howie/Jeff will be making the pick. Watch them overdraft a QB at 3 then take an o-lineman with their next high pick.

The strength of schedule tiebreaker remains the top one. It simply involves counting up the wins, losses, and ties and figuring out the win percentage of a team’s opponents. The team with a lower win percentage wins the tiebreaker. The draft is meant to help bad teams improve. The thinking with the weaker SOS getting a better pick is that if team A and team B are tied and team A beat worse teams, that suggests team A is the worse of the two teams. It’s certainly not scientific, but that’s what it is.

Most teams will be separated out with that tiebreaker, but occasionally we’ll get two or more teams are tied in strength of schedule. They then move to division and conference tiebreakers. If they are not applicable or ties still exist between teams of difference conferences, ties will be broken using the following tie-breaking method:

  1. Head-to-head, if applicable
  2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games (minimum of four)
  3. Strength of victory in all games
  4. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games
  5. Best net points in all games
  6. Best net touchdowns in all games
  7. Coin toss
