Wentz still with only 46 snaps today which is about 19 short of an average game of O snaps so far on the season.  Nice of the Colts to help keep his % up, though.  Thanks!  Just need him to stay healthy and for TEN to not run away with the division until about after Week 13 to lock it up.

Unless Wentz gets injured, I don't see the Titans running away with the division.  The Colts will get the Jags and Texans again.  That should be 2 more wins.  They also have the Jets in there before week 12.   So, that's at least 5-7... What are the odds that the Titans would be 8-4?   The Titans are only 3-2 right now.  The next 5 games for the TItans are Bills, Chiefs, Colts, Rams and Saints.  It is conceivable that the Titans could drop 4 of those games and then the danger is the Colts actually winning that division.  Best case scenario is likely the Titans going 1-4 in that 5 game stretch and only beating the Colts, so that they have the tiebreaker over the Colts.

But, most likely, in the next 5 games (counting this week): Colts go 3-2 (maybe 4-1, if they can beat the 49ers), and Titans are not going to go better than 3-2 in that stretch (likely to steal one of those games between Bills and Chiefs and beat the Colts.

If that happens... at the 10 game mark, the Colts are 4-6 and the Titans are at 6-4.   That's a 2+ game lead (because of the tie-breaker), but there's no way that the Colts could conceivably sit Wentz, but would be on the verge of being realistically out of the playoff hunt.

Last 7 games would be Colts: Bills, Bucs, Texans, Pats, Cards, Raiders, Jags.   That's a tougher end than the Titans.  Likely going to be 3 guaranteed losses, and possibly as many as 5.

Titans: Texans, Patriots, Jags, Steelers, 49ers, Dolphins, Texans.  Titans will likely crush the end of their schedule and win the division pretty easily.  That looks like 4 guaranteed wins (Texans x2, Jags and Dolphins), and could be as many as 6... doubtful they'd run the table.

Dak with the pick

Pats up early 14-7 on the Cowgirls.  NE needs to get Jones better WRs.

Cards with an early 17-0 on the Browns.  Wondering how Ertz helps them on O.  They've drafted a nice D out in the desert.

INT Pats!  Gross to be pulling for the evil empire.

Dalton Shultz will be the next stud TE for girls

Yea, the Eagles really outsmarted the Cowboys in the 2018 draft.  Eagles took Goedert at 49 compared to the Cowboys taking Schultz at 137 all while still having Zach Ertz on the team.  From a teambuilding standpoint, it was a horrible pick.  They drafted Ertz's replacement while Ertz was still just 28 coming off a winning SB TD catch.

Meanwhile, Jason Peters was 36, a shell of his former self and they could have taken Connor Williams (who the Cowboys took the pick after Goedert) or Orlando Brown to groom as his replacement.   Instead, they held on to Peters too long then used 3 draft picks to get Andre Dillard in the 2019 draft while STILL hanging on to an aging, injured and declining JP.

Drafting Goedert essentially pushed Ertz out the door.  They weren't willing to pay him top dollar because they drafted his replacement even though Ertz was still in his prime.  Now Ertz is gone, we still honestly have no idea what Goedert can be and there's a chance he walks after this year and the Eagles are out both Ertz and Goedert.

The Cowboys on the other hand got Connor Williams and Dalton Schultz.

Just look at the Eagles 2nd round picks as of late

2017- Sidney Jones. Drafted with a blown Achilles, played one game his rookie year and cut after 3 years

2018- Dallas Goedert.  After trading down, DG was the first pick of the draft.  Ertz was still just 28 and a Pro Bowl tight end.  DG was drafted as a backup but eventually pushed Ertz out.  UFA in 2021, no contract being offered.  Might walk

2019- Miles Sanders.  Is now a complete afterthought averaging about 8 carries per game, most not until the 4th quarter.  I'd say 99.9% chance he doesn't get a 2nd contract here.

2020- Jalen Hurts.  A franchise altering draft pick.  Led to the trade of their starting quarterback, the largest dead cap hit in history all while proving nothing.  1st year as a starter and its' clear that he's a backup in the NFL.

2021- Landon Dickerson.  Picked at 37 after never finishing a college season due to injury and was at the time still recovering from a torn ACL.  He's a starter now but no one knows what he will become.

There's a chance that at least 3, maybe 4 of the Eagles last 5 2nd round picks don't get 2nd contracts here.  Sidney Jones got cut, DG probably wants to test FA, Sanders should request a trade, Hurts isn't the QB and I doubt he sticks around here to be a back up and Dickerson is the biggest question mark.

GO HOWIE.  GREAT DRAFTING!

Howie should tank the Lions game. If the order stays the same through next week a loss to the Lions will put us in the drivers seat for #1 overall.

I guarantee that in 7 days, after the Raiders game, we will start seeing posts suggesting we throw the game against the Lions to improve the Dolphins' pick.

You are right, but the timing of this was just so perfect!

Just say no to signing ex-Cowboys.  It never turns out well.

This.  Even sitting at 12 last draft, our options were trade up for Smith or wait for Slater.

It's in the second half of the first round where the options increase and decision making breaks down.

Played alot more games for Bama than OU.

Funny you should say that, there’s a slightly older version of Mac Jones playing at Pitt and making his way up the draft boards.  Kenny "two gloves” Pickett.

Pickett has a much stronger arm

We really need the Pats to hold on to this one.  Would be good in multiple levels.
