Welcome back Lane. Hope all is well.

Amazing that you weren't addicted to pain pills or retiring like some clowns in here thought.

Mental health was always the most likely. Remember when Brooks had the big issue they said Lane was his puking buddy before games. They both struggled with it bad, but no one knew about Lane unitl that was said. And I guess everyone forgot...

Important to note: rejoining the team does not necessarily mean playing.

Metcalf actually waited for them to push him out of bounds, somehow Miles Sanders transferred his brain into Metcalfs.

Metcalf should step out of bound right after the catch.  A stupid move trying to gain couple more yards, knowing full well the clock is near zero.  The idea of fighting for every inch is too much ingrain in player's mind.

Last bigger question.  What kind of fruit loop dances on tik tok for money?

I hate this kid so much. Just a loser riding his brother’s coattails.

I am glad Lane has felt comfortable to go public about his issues. Good on him.

As for the Steelers game, I did wonder if the Referees would flag Tomlin for his language on the fumble all at the end of the game.  It was very audible on the  TV coverage that he had a big effing problem with the effing decision that the effing umpires effing made.

Say what?!  Eagles fans aren't ALWAYS right in their opinions.  Shocking!

The LB was looping, so if that was a straight RO, it had to be a give.  Frankly, he just needs to give it far more often.

I think for me part of the frustration with Hurts is his failure to make the correct read on RPOs. He clearly looked surprised by the looping LB and then takes off himself.  I have no idea what he sees in that play.  I mean the Eagles have 5 blockers on 4 defenders and then White starts his loop. So they had favorable numbers to run it when they reach the line.  A run is going to likely yield a positive result before White starts looping around.  He should have recognized White looping around before Sanders hit the mesh point.  He didn't see White at all and is clearly surprised when he shows up in his face.   It's not like there was quick hitting route.  This isn't a new play or read to him.

As much as this may be a Hurts issue, it's also a coaching issue.  Someone should be in his ear right after this series telling him to get this read fixed.  Someone should say to him to hand it off when in doubt.  I do not think that's happening based on the run pass ratio.

Metcalf isn't a smart player.  JJAW at least has that on him.

Was thinking over the weekend, how sad it is, that the last few years we had a QB and no wr's and now we have the WR's and no QB....

I think Smith, Watkins and even Reagor will be soo much better with an actual NFL caliber QB throwing the ball to them.  Sucks we finally have some WR's and we got a College option QB at the helm.

And it’s more depressing knowing who is currently in charge of finding said QB.

Likely scenario is the Eagles make a move to upgrade QB after the season.

Worst case scenario is the Eagles believe Hurts has shown enough and keep him as starting QB for 2022 (and beyond)

Best case scenario is some other team believes Hurts has upside where the Eagles don't, and he fetches some return in a trade before next season.

I’ve been thinking this lately too. I can’t imagine how much better these receivers and offense would look with an average NFL QB, someone like Minshew…

F the Eagles and Howie for not trading up for him.

Its funny because we all were happy when we beat the Cowboys the year prior in week 16....who knew that game would be for the chance to draft Lamb. But could've got him for a 1st and a 2nd though.

He needs to be active this week.

Don't disagree but don't see it happening.  Heck, would like to see Flacco give it a try.  Somebody that sees the field and makes a throw.

Apparently Siri is going to ride the Hurts ship to the bottom.

They need this to get to the point where the players are in on a change as well.  He's too well thought of in the locker room to do it too early.

I hard on this a lot... But after watching Dak, Lamar, Baker, D. Carr, Etc it really shows how Jalen Hurts isnt even in the the top 20 QB range and isnt our guy

Let's switch this up a bit, which QBs do you think Jalen Hurts is better than at this point in his career?  As in,  "at least <> is not our QB."

My list: Daniel Jones, Carson Wentz, Jamies Winston, Jared Goff, Taylor Heinecke, Davis Mills (Texans QB)

That's my list and I think a couple of names on there might cause some disagreement.

Glad Lane came forward and wish him the best.  Depression can be an awful, serious issue…but I also feared even worse, so in a way, there can be some small sense of relief.

From a purely football (and ankle) perspective, I would be hesitant to rely on him again and would prefer to look to the future.

I believe that to be true as well.  Need a Kelce or Cox to talk with Nick and give their blessing, so to speak.

Wentz is better than all of them.   But If that is your list what is the point of the discussion?  Excluding Wentz, they all suck so who cares?

I think every qb on that list is a better passer than Hurts.  I believe Hurts is the worst starting passer in the entire NFL.

For bottom line give you a chance to win, I’d put him ahead of Mills (not for long), Jones, Darnold, Heinicke, and Zach Wilson (not for long).
