His accuracy and decision making is pretty bad

Pretty amazing as his accuracy was one of the things people loved about him at Alabama. I think the other problem with Miami right now is they don’t utilize the weapons correctly. You have waddle getting 13 targets and 10 receptions for 70 yards. That’s not his game. Why did you draft him if that’s how you were going to use him? You were better off drafting Smith if that’s how you were going to utilize him. Then you have gesicki who is destroying linebackers and safeties and then they just don’t go to him for like 2 quarters. Then their best rb is gaskin and they refuse to get him involved in the passing game which is his strength. And then give carries to Malcolm brown and Ahmed who suck.

He's afraid of competition and doesn't like getting coach hard. Add BDN winning the Lombardi Trophy and then almost taking the Eagles back to the SB....it was building up for 3 seasons. It was his own doing why he's no longer here

I’ll disagreed with the last part because I think the dysfunction of the Philadelphia eagles organization for the better part of a decade outside of 2017 is also a reason.

Result of an ungrateful fanbase an organization that undermined him at every turn.

Kelce is a beast

I think game 12 is where he could reach the snap count.  https://www.phillyvoice.com/carson-wentz-snap-count-tracker-eagles-first-round-pick-colts/  I think there's a good chance they win 3 out of the next 4.  I don't expect them to beat either the Bills or Bucs but they certainly would start Wentz if they are at 5-5 and 5-6 heading into those games.

Based on averages once he played week 12 he's at 70.5%, so they would have to make the playoffs. That last game of only 48 snaps hurts.

With the Colts having 4 very winnable games coming up (SF, TEN, NYJ, JAX) , I'm waiting for the hand wringing here.

Titans being the most Jekyll and Hyde team i could totally see them beating the chiefs this week by 2 tds and then play the colts and lose by 20.

I like Devin White, but that's pretty soft.

Also, Kelce hasn't been the best C in football for a while.

Hurts got benched for Tua. Maybe the coaching staff didn't know what they were doing?

Let's just let the season play out, Siri and Hurts are probably both feeling things out, I mean when you look at Lawrence, Wilson and Fields, why are you surprised with Hurts' struggles?

People forget how putrid Wentz was in 2016 after 4 good games, struggled the rest of his rookie season. And that was with Peters, Kelce and Brooks on the OL.

I figure on Indy going 8-9, just missing the playoffs (Titans go 9-8) and giving us the #14 pick.

I was just referring to his time in Philly

If competition bothers him that much he shouldn't be playing in the NFL. He could've put all those questions to bed by simply playing well

I would not go that far (should not be playing), but he certainly has shown a pattern of mental fragility over the years when it comes to competition. That is not going to cut it at the pro level... It is only natural that some guys thrive under the gun, and some cant cut it. Best practice is to support the guy you have in the way that best fits him. Drafting Hurts was tricky because it both undermined Wentz and it provided the back up option we need with Wentz's history of injury

Yup - then the Colts play the Bills and Bucs and the talk comes back down to earth (although I can see Carson doing OK against the Bucs, and the loss being put on everyone else).

Here's a scary stat:

Josh Sweat has 1.5 sacks.  The rest of the Eagles DE have ZERO.

1.5 sacks for the DE, all by one player.

It was also with arguably the worst WR corps in the league consisting of a benched Nelson agholor, dgb, Bryce treggs and Jordan matthews.

As much as I hated the Hurts pick, the Eagles wanted a backup qb like you said. It was dumb for Howie to make the "qb factory" remark. Wentz should've been thinking "this is my team." He won't last in cities like Philly if he doesn't have it mentally. Like I said, he could've silenced any questions by playing well. He didn't.

The colts somehow find a way to win games that they arent expected to every year. Like they played the Chiefs one year with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback and manage to win the game by just running the crap out of the ball and keeping the Chiefs off the field offensively. I wouldn’t be so sure the Colts don’t win one of the bills, bucs or Arizona game..

Kerrigan doesn't have one? 😛

He only played 13 games in 2017 but if you take his current pace he’s on he’s going to throw for 4% higher of a completion percentage (64%) and more passing yards 3348 in those 13 games. Also 20-2 td to int ratio. I’d argue on a team that wasn’t nearly as good as the 2017 eagles. He’s on pace to finish with 64%, 4378 26 tds and 3 ints. I would also argue if you didn’t leave the Rams game early there’s a chance the Colts would’ve won that game. They were the better team in the second half of that game until he got hurt

Anyone notice Wentz has been playing better these last few games and they've been running the ball really well too?  Coincidence?

if you're referring to tackles yes!

Hargrave carrying the team right now in that department.

hargrave: 6

Rest of the eagles: 5

Not sure what Howie was thinking with Kerrigan. Dude only got sacks the last few years because he had an adequate number of snaps, and he is a wiley veteran who can sneak up on guys, or take advantage of inexperience. There were other veteran options which are a better fit for the sparkplug off the bench rotational guy.

He actually played well in the rams game until he got hurt. He had a interception (only one of the year) but he looked equal to Stafford in that game until he left. It also helps having fisher back and not having to play Davenport who was one of the worst graded olineman in the league. Shockingly pryor hasn’t been awful for them at RT. Actually has a 76.3 grade by PFF

Of course not.  I made this point many times while Wentz was here.

Wentz with Eagles, 31 passes or less -- 18 wins, 2 losses

Wentz with Eagles, 32 passes or more -- 17 wins, 29 losses and a tie (losses might be more -- at some point I quit keeping track)

Doug's fatal flaw was the belief that Wentz functioned best as a "gunslinger", throw it around the yard like Rodgers, Brees, or Brady -- he was never that guy

Really? So he picked Hurts instead of some help for himself in the 2nd round?  He played with back-ups to the back-ups on the o-line and at wr and he was rewarded by Howie picking a qb in the 2nd round instead of a weapon.

Yeah, I'd want out too. We are idiots
