@LeanMeanGM bold prediction: there’s going to be some sort of special teams gaff in this game. I feel like every time we play atlanta there’s one. like the divisional round we muffed a punt then the opening game the next year the punt that hit Sullivan and then the clement fumble on the kickoff.

I think overall their OL is pretty horrible. In fact I think the interior of their line is meant to be pretty damn bad.

I saw that game is 10 am ET meaning 8am for my side of the country. Surprised the best college game of the weekend is happening so early in the day

I still think we're going to suck for the season but it's the new HC and system, the young players, and just is football back

I hope Hurts turns out to be a star and Howie somehow gets fired so a new GM can use all of those picks next year

If Hurts shows himself to be a star, then you can forget Howie getting fired.  It was Howie's decision all the way.

If Hurts fails, we know that selection will be blamed on Doug and Howie will continue to find someone to blame every poor decision on.

That happens every season the first few weeks of the year.  Not a good evening slate.  But there are few good games during the day.  I guess Wash/Michigan is the game to watch tonight.  

Would’ve been a more juicy matchup if Washington didn’t get upset last week by montana. Washington was ranked 20 before that loss.

Yes it is but it is also a chance to view some of those colleges you don’t normally see against better competition to measure their top performers as possible draft choice level players.

Yup.  These are big games for the kids that climb up the draft boards.   Seeing them against the better competition is very important to evaluations.

It's a big day for those kids.
