Good info here to put into context how little Hurts is using the middle of the field.

We cut Fort because he's a 3-4 ILB.

why sign him if they didn’t think he could adapt to a 4-3 and they expected him to start in the press conference. Kind of feels like howie signed him thinking he could and play nickel (which they were in more and more— plus PFF gave him a good grade in pass coverage) and Schwartz really didn’t care for him. Plus the reports he was doing fine during camp and then they just didn’t play him once the season started. i think it was more the coaching staff and Schwartz preferred Nate gerry, brown, Edwards and KGH to fort.

Furthermore with how the league is going you are less in base formation And the ravens in 2019 didn’t just use him strictly in 3-4 formation when he had success. At the end of his Steelers career they had him out there on their passing down situations. The eagles also kept Zach brown who was awful and bad weekly. And eventually released him. Imo He was still likely better than the linebackers we had in 2019 after they cut brown. Bradham was done and Gerry still stunk then. Edwards was a rookie and singleton was a backup then. Duke Riley was a ST player.

The guys filling out the top of list should be, they can actually see over the line, Brady, Wentz, Carr, Tannehill, Lawrence & Allen.

Imagine Dickerson at Center, that would complete what Hurts sees, and no one else does, the back of green helmets.

Traveling the last two days to the Texas Hill Country as my sister fell and ended up in the hospital. Some random things observed traveling through the South.

In Knoxville near the exit off of I40 near UT, there is a sign that the official grocery store of the Vols is Food City. Didn’t want to stop to see what sort of deal they had on jars of mustard.

Tried Alabama white sauce BBQ yesterday.  Like Carolina mustard sauce better.

Driving through LA today, I was listening to the Jim Rome show and he was going after Ben Simmons hard. Best suggestions for Ben to force a trade were a forty foot hooks shot ala Mark Aguire or maybe a 76 yard field goal attempt.

LA is using speed trap by posse. Saw groups of three and four Police SUVs today.

Man the vitriol on talk radio is vicious in the rural south only to be out done by the religious stations and public radio trying to see who can pander for donations more.   How is it possible that there is a stretch in southern Mississippi with no country music stations but NPR is loud and clear.

Watched in my rear view as a two lane wide load was blocking both lanes in the cattle shoots eastbound out of Shreveport that feed right into the Atchafalaya speedway, oops, spillway, which would have the same blocking impact.  30 some ideas miles there was going to be one pissed off traffic jammers.

I eat like I did today everyday and I would be calling Mailata a lightweight.  Breakfast at Cafe du Monde for beignets, snack lunch on cracklins from Don’s in Scott, LA and dinner a righteous brisket sandwich from Doziers in Fulshear, TX.  Just Ed’s rub and smoke, oh the smoke on their meats.

isn’t there supposed to be a driver shortage and a supply chain issue.  Couldn’t tell it from all the trucks out there.

The support for the Astros seems a little lukewarm.

Sorry to hear about your sis. Welcome to TX though! What part of the hill country? I’m out by Dripping Springs outside of Austin.

I feel better after tonight. Eagles may be bad this year but Flyers and Sixers looking good.

If he's going to be suspended or some other BS then a 3rd.

Otherwise, no thanks.  A team would be stupid to give up multiple 1sts and more.

I’m on the anti Watson side, and if you do make a trade it’s probably best to wait until more of this legal stuff gets cleared up. But if we were to make a trade for him this is along the lines I would think also.

Picks should be protected, if possible, in some sort of capacity.

Got me thinking while typing this. I might hope Dolphins trade for Watson in coming days. Not because of my personal bias, but Dolphins could possibly trade a player or two to the Texans along with picks. Weakened Dolphins roster, Watson likely not playing for them this year, most likely trading Tua, that Dolphins pick would be almost guaranteed to be top 5.

Remind me how we got the 1st from Miami?

Miami traded from 12 to our spot at 6 and their 2022 first was included in that.

So they had John break that news earlier for a bidding war?

For those that want him, what would be the most you would give up?

If his legal woes are cleared up? first a third and Hurts

I asked yesterday but guessing you didn't see, how do you see the QB at Pitt going into the NFL?

Those beignets are goddamn delicious, even hungover AF. Man, I miss New Orleans, maybe I'll convince the girl to head down there next year.

16 hours ago, Sack that QB said:

The Sixers already screwed up by allowing Harden to go to a division rival, Fing their own team over in the process by creating a team they have no chance to compete with.

Howie's looking to do a similar injustice. If Howie not only allows Watson to go to Miami and lose out on a top 5 QB in his mid 20's, but also essentially destroying their 1st round pick's value on top of it, I hope Miami wins the Super Bowl. They won't, but I'll be rooting for them to. I want that pick to have the absolute worst value possible to wholly F the Eagles over.

If I can't root for these absolute ass clowns because they do everything wrong, at least I can get my pleasure rooting for their futility out of pure spite. I love being vindictive, it brings me genuine joy.

Couldn't have a more worthy outcome for the most unlikable GM in the history of the franchise. Absolute clown show down there. F that whole operation. Fing losers.

I guess the sexual assault allegations against Watson aren't an issue for you? From a football standpoint, there's a significant risk he will be put on the Commissioner's exempt list.  Setting aside that issue, he has a no trade clause and the reports are that he does not want to come to Philly.

All these teams needing QBs are telling the Dolphins "Nah, we don't want Tua".

Brutal. Blackmon was good for them.

Also, Blackmon's backup is Andrew Sendejo...

If the Eagles had drafted him, people today would be saying that’s why you don’t draft injured players. Last year people were lamenting not drafting him with the pick we traded away for Slay.

Food, music, history, atmosphere. Nah, nothing to see there.
