If Jordan even plays average, this contract will look good. I thought he'd get more TBH.

Which ones?

Besides Dallas sucks what two words do eagles fans say? I know you’re being sarcastic.

I guess this officially means that he beat Dillard for the LT spot.  But, it was close.😆

That is a huge bargain if he even plays average. 5 years of a starting LT less than $13M APY

What's that do to someone's mental state to get beat by a guy who has played significantly less football his entire life than practically all of the league

Our starting LT. I bet he’s glad he gave football a shot.

In fairness, Mialata is a beast. He is better than La'el Collins who was drafted in the first round. In retrospect, I'm surprised a team didn't draft Mialata higher with his size and athleticism.  5th rounders usually miss and his traits should've had him drafted around there instead of in the 7th.

It's a gamble like all contracts, but if Mailata keeps improving (and with Stoutland as OL coach, that's a good bet) he might be worth $20M a year by the time the contract kicks in. Look what Trent Williams got at 33.

Trent Williams has agreed to terms on a six-year, $138.06 million deal to stay with the 49ers, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Wednesday morning. The contract includes $55.1 million in fully guaranteed money and a $30.1 million signing bonus

It's actually a 4yr/$75M deal with the team option to eat it for $6M after that point. So $20M a year from age 33-36.

Collins went undrafted

You're right. He was supposed to go in the 1st round but he went undrafted.  But, his skills were supposedly first round worthy.

Be interesting to see how the deal is structured with less than 10 million available under this and next years cap.  His cap number this year will increase significantly with the pro rated signing bonus.

Oof. Move him to G if you want him to completely give up on football

Hopefully motivate him to get better and listen to Stoutland more closely.   Mailata is a direct result of hard work and Stoutland's teaching.  Dillard isn't a bad athlete, and not much below Mailata's sheer athleticism.  So, he needs to swallow his pride and just buckle down to work harder... or he can just roll into the fetal position and get run out of the league.

Still mad about that situation. Fell because of a murder he wasn’t even considered a suspect for. The fact that the Eagles (or any team) wouldn’t even use a 7th for that talent is ridiculous. Then he goes right to the Cowboys😡

Guessing a smaller signing bonus with more base salary guaranteed down the line

Dillard doesn't have the physicality to be a guard. He would get trucked by DTs.

If Stoutland is the be all and end all of O-Line coaches, he needs to turn him into a right tackle

Might want to fact check that one on your own.  He was projected to be drafted in the first round.

And now he is suspended for 5 games. But, Lane was suspended before.  Overall, I don't think we can complain because our OL has been great up until last year.

Already admitted my mistake a couple of posts earlier.
