I did wonder if Teddy Bridgewater had been watching Hurts tape after watching that performance.  Lots of staring WRs down, missed reads but without the legs now to run for lots of yards

Teddy B is dealing with an injured foot/leg. It was clear he couldn't drive the ball at all, they should have pulled him honestly.

He is, but he still missed a ton of reads or staring things down.  He barely got past his first read for long stretches

The last sentence in that quote is a nice qualifier.

Thats what you call a back handed compliment.

"I think they are doing a great job with his skillset"

I wonder if he got that out without snickering a bit

It's the same thing Brady was doing last week. Pump up the other team before you play them so they don't have any bulletin board material, and, when you inevitably crush them, it makes you look a little better.

My idea for a podcasts was to have anyone who didnt give a F just to talk crap and tell the truth.

Not worried about burning bridges, or begging for a coaching or announcing job.

Your guests would likely be the Orlando Scandricks of the world. No thanks.

we dont know if he's playing well.

No need to throw near him if everyone else on the eagles defense is that bad.

Single Hot girl Theory. The smoking hot chic(slay) is single(not thrown at) cause guys think it's easier to hit on the ugly girls in the group(the rest of our defense)

Steeler fan theory: you told everyone you’re buying a Steelers jersey. That makes you a Steeler fan.

Think so.  The hospital doesn’t allow visitors but have been working with us to get her to a rehabilitation facility. Will know more then. Thanks.

Sorry to hear this.  I hope she is able to get into a rehab facility quickly.

The injury is effecting his ability to throw. I’m surprised they didn’t put in lock because at that point they were at a disadvantage even with lock’s issues.

However i always have thought the bridgewater comeback story was amazing and bridgewater the actual QB was just an average fringe starting QB. I think it’s becoming more obvious why the broncos likely go all in this offseason and go hard after rodgers if he’s still wants to be dealt (likely)

Lets have an adult conversation, what do you disagree with?

If only you were capable of that.

So was Revis when he played the single hot chick too? Cause he fits your weirdo "theory" as well.

Slay is playing like a top corner, the numbers back him up, and gee, I wonder why teams might be hesitant to throw at him? Maybe because, he's playing really well. It obviously helps we play so much zone, but I think PFF has him ranked 11 overall for CB. Which is about right when matched up with the eye test and the rest of the league.

What evidence do you have that he's not playing well? Not weirdo theories, actual evidence please.

Haha I like how a bunch of randos on a message board shamed you out of buying a Steelers jersey

The Broncos desperation to find a QB is somewhat hilarious to me (would be moreso if we didn't have our own QB issues). But they've tried so hard to fix that position, and whatever they do they just blow it. Since Peyton anyways.

I’m actually surprised when Brady became a free agent in 2020 offseason they weren’t more involved. Lock hadn’t proven much yet and the odds were against him ever being as good even if Brady was supposedly on the decline.

Yes and no.  I would argue they've made bad choices -- that they should have known were bad choices -- in the FA route.  Keenum, and then Flacco were both half-arse measures at addressing the need.  Also they waited until pick #26 to take Paxton Lynch, and the 2nd round to take Drew Lock.

I think they've half-arsed their efforts, both in FA and the draft instead of committing to going after "their guy".  Now Teddy Bridgewater as a FA QB solution?  The guy has already been deemed expendable numerous times in his career -- another half-arsed attempt IMO.

Haha yeah you're right, it is more half arsed than not. I guess what I meant by desperation is the sheer amount of resources they've wasted on it.

Agreed for sure.  Their proper move (in hindsight) would have been to be aggressive in the 2018 draft.  Instead, both KC and HOU jumped up from behind them in order to go get Mahomes and Watson, while they rode with Case Keenum (who was gone after the one year).

His wife died of cancer, and how he handled it was covered extensively in A Football Life, which is why he said people should watch it to get the reference.

Right which is why I was asking what the reference was because I don't have interest in watching that football life episode.

This clown thinks he's played well the last few weeks, seems Gannon listened to him a bit and put him in better positions to make plays.

The first few weeks he was average, not bad not great just ok, which I argued he needed to be better than solid as the second highest paid defensive player he needed to make plays and he did, good on him.
