The DE is going one, I doubt we get that high. Even if we did, we need so much, I'd honestly rather cash that in for a hefty ransom. It won't be as big as a QB type trade, but it will be big enough. With the amount of failed picks on this team combined with older players that are about to be done, I'd sacrifice that pick to get a bounty over the course of this draft and the following.

IMagine having two top 5 picks and another one around 22... then consider what you could get by trading both top 5 picks , one into the 8-10 position and the other to about the 10-13 picks.

Then imagine trading the 22ish one back into the very early 2nd round.....  you could pick up 2 more 1sts and a second for 2023  plus extras.....

as well as having 2 top 15 picks this year, 2 high second round picks this year......

Why is he digging up posts from draft day two years ago?

Not sure....

ESPN put out a piece today that said Watson is open to be traded to a plethora of teams and just wants to get out of Houston at this point.

That always made the most sense to me. A guy who's being accused of heinous things and is in a place he loathes isn't going to play hard to get.

I know people here don't want him, but I'm telling you the Eagles missing out on him assuming he gets cleared to play at some point in the near future, they're going to regret it for a long time. The ripple effects could be huge:

-If Miami gets him and he plays it could affect the first rounder

-There is no obvious path to another franchise QB. Unless you want a 33 year old Russell Wilson who may or may not even be available. He's a franchise legend, I still doubt they trade him. And if the Eagles are 2-3 years away from contention, that means Wilson will be 35-36 when they're ready to contend.

-It could lead to Howie like just mentioned reaching on a QB in the upcoming draft and blowing draft capital on the wrong QB class.

You saw something similar with the Sixers and Harden. They weren't able to get a deal done. What it has led to since:

-The Nets being a super team(if Kyrie ever gets vaccinated lol and gets back on the court)

-It made Ben Simmons disgruntled and set that down a contentious path toward divorce

-Sixers had no other options in the offseason to trade for once they didn't get Harden. They were banking on Lillard or Beal and neither were available, so they're left scratching their asses.

Putting the morality stuff aside, this is the clearest and most obvious way to get an young elite franchise QB, and if they miss out on this then it's going to be rued for years to come.

So we are cool tossing Gruden out of the league but want to give up high picks for a QB with those allegations???

Ridder is the guy with the high ceiling, but will need development ala Josh Allen.

Pickett is having a rise akin to Baker/Burrow/Mac. His ceiling isn't wow worthy but he checks all the boxes.

Watching Ridder in the CFP against Bama and Georgia will be very telling, if he can hold his own, he'll solidify himself as the #1 pick.

No chance Ridder goes first overall

We live in a world where words doom you more than actions. And I’m with you… I wouldn’t touch Watson without all of those allegations being cleared up.

I wasn't cool tossing Gruden out of the league. I always believe in tolerance and forgiveness.

There is bad and then there is embarrassing. Your idol, Howie Roseman, has in four short years turned a SB winner into a clown show.

That and the fact regressing this season.  Can't even tell what talent we have between the defensive scheme and QB.  If they showed any improvement it might be a different tune but as of now they only can do stuff in garbage time.

I like that the Jets have never beaten us in history. If we lose that, this season is the dirt worst.

Howie is a moron. Only to be out moroned by the jets

So we basically paid 2.8m plus whatever his salary we paid already for a 6th round draft pick.

I wonder what the record will be against Detroit, NYJ, NYGx2.

Anything less than 4-0 reflects that the Eagles are a very, very bad team.

3-1 feels likely.

2-2 is humiliating.

1-3 means the Eagles are one of the 2-3 worst teams in the nfl, top 3 pick.

0-4 means we are the worst team in football.

Yesterday.

I'm pretty sure that most Senators have basic grammar skills.

Thibodeaux and Stingley would make me feel a lot better.

You may be right, but I'd still rather wait for 2023.

Strong probably has the best arm of the bunch, his issue is a knee surgery back in High School that was ugly and still causes him issues with 2 more clean out surgeries since and apparently was drained again this past August.
Pickett is gonna be the accurate guy it seems, tiny hands but a decent arm.  He played pretty well against a tough Clemson defense,  far better schemed than the Eagles.
2023 should be time for the kid from Stanford, Ohio St, Rattler, lol and maybe Grayson McCall if he stays in school.  He’s at 77% comp in a twisted offense that doesn’t throw much.
Who knows really, Sam Howell will probably be the best of the bunch with everyone shitting on him.

I believe in accountability and responsibility and forgiveness.

Forgiveness doesn't mean not holding people accountable.

TE , McBride  , very very impressive

Racism, either real or imagined, is the worst crime a man born with a light complexion can commit nowadays.

Yeah. If we can use these 3 picks to build defense, and THEN trade for Russell Wilson with future picks, Id be all for it.

But I dont want to trade these 3 picks.

Bryce Young, Grayson McCall, Phil Jurkovec, DJ Uiagalelei, CJ Stroud, etc.  Just a stronger class than Ridder, Pickett, Rattler (if he's dumb enough to not transfer somewhere), Howell, etc.

Season saved guys.

#AZCardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury, asked on @BurnsAndGambo if he would've returned Tom Brady's 600th TD ball if he had been the one who got it as a fan:

"If it's really worth half a million, no. ... He'd better ante up. A Lamborghini or something

And you're surprised why?  Eagles were a crappy team from 1997-1999.

No one is surprised that they will suck.  We are upset that the architect of the crappy team remains employed in the same position as the one that created the crappy team.
