Gruden deserves to be held accountable for his remarks and actions and in today's climate there was no way the league or raiders could keep him employed, having said that other players coaches FO people have done far worse and have been basically slapped on the hands.

I agree. In this hyper racialized society now, people have taken on this "America is a horrible racist, bigoted place and our #1 priority in every walk of life must be social justice everywhere all the time." And people are also afraid of keeping quiet because they will be labeled as "not allies" and some do it for clout. There's no way in hell people didn't know about these emails years ago and no one said anything because no one cared. Once they became public it was "Oh crap, I gotta condemn Gruden publicly to show how aboard the social justice train I am so people don't start calling me racist too because 'silence is violence!'" when you know deep down so many likely couldn't care less. It's performative.

It's funny that the people who knew Gruden best personally vouched for him as a person. Tirico and Dungy. And some of his players texted Josina Anderson saying they stand by him because they know him.

It shows you how hypocritical the NFL is and they will always and only follow what affects their bottom line.
 

The juxtaposition of Ray Lewis being in the HOF after being involved in the death of a person and Jon Gruden being removed from the Tampa ring of honor for some nasty emails is just pretty hilarious.

Except for possibly Jones who went to great team in NE.  Belichick is out there running a 1994 offense attacking the tiny Linebackers teams all have now instead of the 245-260 lb dudes from years ago.
  Really like Jurkovec, does he get an injury red shirt for this year?      Tanner McKee Stanford,  I think was a 5 star? He did a 2 year mission in South America and has played really well this year, he’s definitely someone to keep an eye on for ‘23.
