I don't think this draft has much in the way of top o-line prospects aside from Evan Neal.  Neal is probably a better RT prospect than LT.  I do think the team has 2 pieces in Dickerson and Mailata.  I am not sure aside from Neal there is another OT prospect.  I do think Linderbaum is a good potential pick and replacement for Kelce that could be a later 1st round pick.

Green

Cross

Ekwonu

Kirnard

all top 40 picks , IMO

I heard some hypothetical scenario on ESPN about Mike Tomlin taking over the UNLV HC position. I highly doubt this, but it made me wonder what if in a couple year Mike has had enough in Pitt, would he be a good fit in Philly?

I think Neal is the only OT that's a consensus top 5 type prospect.  I think Green and Ekwonu are later 1st round prospects.

Ok, so lets take your 6, I'll add in QB(7), I'll add in Wr3, Reagor(8) Wont debate on Quez(even though I dont think he's a wr2). RDE(Barnett stinks(9).

Now add in the question marks of another year old with FLetcher Cox, Hargrave and Miles Sanders.

So we've got 9 new starters needed, 3 really questionables and Lane Johnson.

Quez profiles as a number 3 WR, and in that role, he's more than fine IMO.

I thought it was the USC job?

It’s too bad Barnett decided to have his worst season as a pro this year. With Howie restructuring his contract he could have had some decent value on the trade market. What’s he worth now? A 6 or 7 maybe?

Damn , I always thought he was a fraud , who made stuff up , to try and be relevant

Yes we do.

We need:

DE- 2

LB- 3

Corner- 1

OG- 1

RB-1

QB-1

Safety-2

Yeah, we need starters.

They just paid Sweat so I'd go one DE. I'm not completely sold on them moving Dickerson to C after Kelce retires. C to me is more of a need then G. Everything else I agree with

I think by time draft rolls around , there will be others going in top 15

I think they like Driscoll quite a bit. Seumalo is a wildcard with his injury and whether they see him as the center next year with Kelce likely retiring.

Just because you don’t like a player  , doesn’t mean the actual paid professionals don’t like said player  .

if fans ran the eagles , they would be super bowl champs every year , smh

If that was the case the Eagles would have Metcalf, Jefferson, Chinn over Reagor, JJAW, and Hurts. I like the fans chances over Howie

Quez should be WR 2

I think the problem is these franchises are getting too cute with their picks.

15 years ago if I told you Guy A, was a monster in size, strong arm but quiet and Guy B was a little guy, with an ok arm but athletic everyone and thier mothers would pick the big guy and the little guy would land in the 4th round.

But today, Tua is going before Justin Herbert cause it's the sexy, i'm the smartest man in the room type ish.

Which leads me back to Carson Strong.  Dont give me the "sexy fun pick" in Corral, dont give me Malik Willis who relies on his athletics.... Give me the monster dude who can make every throw in the book.

I agree with your philosophy. I just don’t know if Strong is "that guy.”

Fair comps are probably Bledsoe and Flacco, right? He doesn’t have Flacco’s arm strength (few on earth do) and I don’t believe he’s as skilled as Bledsoe.

QB’s are so difficult to predict, though.

Corral worries me, too. He’s "college athletic,” but he’s not a transcendent athlete. Does he have the accuracy to make up for this? Possibly.

I'm a big fan of Driscoll. He does everything pretty well. Reminds me of Herrmanns a bit

Quez is an ideal Z. Smith your ideal X.

I miss college.

Just because they paid Sweat doesn't mean they don't need two starters there?  Or at least 2 high picks, with the way DE rotates maybe I shouldn't have even called that a "starter".  I like Sweat.  But he has hardly shown much this year.  If they need a C because Dickerson is staying at G, then fine.  I'd be happy as hell with that.  But every indication they have given says they want him to be the C.  Either way, so subtract a G and add a C.  Still a starter.

They obviously view Sweat as a starter and an old Graham will be coming back. I could definitely see them taking a DE in the first rd and that's it until the later rds that Howie loves so much

For sure. Reagor is a slot guy that the Eagles love so much

First I'd take either Rodgers or Watson. Rodgers probably has 5-6 years left of good play

This team has a decent base, needs a QB, a new DC, and possibly a new HC. We need to get out from under older oft injured players (Brooks, Johnson, Sanders etc) With a good QB, FA  talent will be drawn here to play (like the Brady affect) Without one, you pay full price and are limited to whom is interested.

We really need a new GM but......

You really think that he'll be worth that at the age of 41-43.  Brady is an anomaly.

This team needs a complete overhaul, and Rodgers isn't going to be happy coming here either, so that's another wrench in your plan for Rodgers.

Who are the 4-5 core players you keep on the team and build around while looking for a QB?

I dont think Quez is a legit NFL #2. On this roster, sure. But thats because he's competing against Reagor who probably wont be in the league in 3 years.

Disagree. Quez has looked solid with horrible qb play. I'd really like to see what he can do with an actual qb playing qb instead of a rb playing qb

it's unlikely to happen, but that doesn't stop me from trying. Winning a SB every year is unlikely to happen, but you still need to try.

Yep.  He's one of the few guys I am excited about for the future.

Smith

Mailata

Dickerson (if he can stay on the field)

Hargrave

Watkins

Seriously, that's it.

At the end of his current contract Hargrave will be 30 I believe. I'd put Driscoll in that conversation and possibly Gainwell. I want to see more from Gainwell first though

As a UT fan, I got to watch Corral gash them with his legs.  Holy F that guy was pissing me off.  That scares me at the next level and the possibility of him getting hurt.  But he has all of the tools.  Not a crazy talented arm.  But good enough.

Would rather have the guy with the arm, and then hopefully you can mold him into a Josh Allen.  Arm talent is the #1 requisite for me for a QB, then size.  Give me the 6'5" guy with an arm all day.

I don't know that this team has 4-5 players that can be a future 'core'.  The 1998 team had: Brian Dawkins, Troy Vincent, Bobby Taylor, Hugh Douglas, Tra Thomas, Jeremiah Trotter... these were future Pro Bowl players (except for Taylor)

Who does this team have that can be built around?  Any future Pro Bowlers?  Maybe Mailata, Dickerson and Smith on offense.  Defensively, none of them look to be a piece that will likely matter in two years.

We can agree to disagree. I heard the same thing about Travis Fulgham.

and yes, I agree that I'd like to see him play with a real QB to get better evaluation.

Fulgham was lazy in practice and wanted ish handed to him
