Is there anything that is? How very Philadelphia to have a weak ass draft class on our most important one probably ever.

CB, Edge, S are ones I’ve seen so far. It’s supposed to be a big defensive draft. Kinda plays right into what we need actually. Every draft for past so many years is usually strongest for what we need help the most at that time, just for some reason Eagles always go different direction or pick the wrong guy

If you read his article he literally says that so no idea why he’s denying it

The compensation has been agreed to, according to sources familiar with the situation. The Texans should get the three first-round picks they’ve been asking for, but Caserio might have to accept lesser picks than the second-round selections he’s demanded.

Dolphins’ owner Stephen Ross has approved a Watson trade, but he wants his legal issues resolved. The only way for Watson to do that before the trade deadline would be to settle the 22 civil suits. League sources say Watson doesn’t want to settle his cases because he believes it would be an admission of guilt.

Before a deal can be completed, Ross would have to find out from commissioner Roger Goodell if Watson would be suspended under the personal conduct policy, and if so, how many games he would miss.

He’s gonna use a technicality saying the compensation for what it would take to get watson is agreed upon but not a deal to make it happen

I feel like John McClain walks back his reports all the time.

Good luck in Buffalo this week, Miami.

3 first rounders? JC

I bet Houston would rather Miami’s actual 1st and our 1st over Miami’s (SF) 1st and 2 future 1sts.

So this trade won’t go through this year

Probably not. Would be crazy for a team to go thru with it now.

If they want to completely agree to the trade on November 3rd, I'm fine with that.

Homemade pizza in the oven.

Beer in hand.

World Series time!!

It's not getting resolved anytime soon so I guess a deal wont be happening this season

It doesn’t make sense unless those picks are conditional based on him being innocent and those civil cases going away. I’m guessing houston said no to that and that’s why the dolphins or any team is waiting for it to be settled and over before pulling the trigger

Lol, seems contradictory doesn’t it?

Even in a rebuild you need some solid veteran pieces.

No worries.  Lane and Cox are unmovable with their contracts.  Even if a team wanted them this season, their signing bonuses would accelerate to this year's cap and then the Eagles would be way over, I think.  Or, does that count for all next year, since it's after June 1 now.

Cox to Chargers for a day 2 pick in 2023 seems reasonable

Pay a settlement.  It’s what Watson should have done all along.  Because he didn’t it’s now too late for logic until the criminal investigation is concluded

This sums up how I feel watching eagles games...

If he doesn't get dealt before the deadline, the Eagles can top Miami's offer in the offseason if the legal issues are settled by then. Three 1sts in one draft is greater in value than three future firsts.

Obviously, if the legal issues aren't resolved before the 2022 draft, the Eagles lose that advantage. Unless they parlay those picks into more future picks to kick the can down the road.

Yeah if a team makes the trade they need to have some sort of protection for them. It’d probably be best to avoid using 2022 picks also. I read that teams can offer up to 3 years of draft picks now & 4 years on draft night

No chance he gets dealt for three 1sts.

I think that’s the reason why the Dolphins are not making the trade. They’re not gonna give up three first round picks with everything still going on and not resolved. If it got resolved I could see the Dolphins giving up three first round picks but without that no way

I think now that Deshaun knows Miami would trade for him, he would only allow to get traded there and force Houston’s hand if that’s indeed where he truly wants to be.

It’s already week 8.  Even if the deal were to happen, I doubt very seriously that he would be cleared to play anytime soon.  Let’s say he gets cleared by 12/1. If your Miami, does it make any sense to rush him back out?  To what, win a few meaningless games at the end of the season?

Duped by what?

Yea idk why people expect Miami to start winning a bunch of games because Watson was to be traded there now. He still has to learn a playbook, develop chemistry with offense, is rusty because hasn’t played in almost a year, has the distractions going on, etc. if anything Watson joining that team now probably means Miami will be even worse because they’ll probably have to trade some young players along with the picks
