I will bet you, that they won't have Watson playing in that Panthers game.

I don’t think he’s gonna get traded to be honest. I think this is just a bunch of crap that the Texans are throwing out there trying to get a trade done at the deadline because they don’t want to wait if the situation is not resolved by next April when the draft comes around

Theyre rivals with a shotty fan base(had an insane run in the 90s and they couldnt even sell out world series games, nor playoff games).

Cockroaches at it's finest.

As for hating the Astros.. WGAF. They've been irrelevant for like 10 decades, they cheated(actually made the game more exciting)

My 35 years of hating the braves trumps 3 good years for the astros.

That doesn't sound like the cowboys to me🤔

Uh....no I am not.  Because I don't believe he will play this year.  And if he does, he won't make a difference.  That game is a month away.  No chance.

Yeah my originally point to bacarty was those 3 games are far from locks if he’s out there. Which they aren’t to begin with.

Frankly I think the Dolphins are dumb as an organization and they’re gonna put him out there even if he’s not ready. I wouldn’t be so sure if he gets traded there by the deadline he doesn’t ask to play against Houston who they play that week. Because he’s gonna want to stick it to them even if he doesn’t know the playbook and the Dolphins are dumb enough as a franchise to cater to him.

I don’t think he gets traded but If he does i think the Dolphins are the dumb organization that will put him out there regardless

Again here's my argument
Guy 1) they have an easy schedule

Me - They're probably going to be underdogs in 7 of the last 10 games. (maybe 8 )  An easy schedule would be the complete opposite.

They might be underdogs in that Carolina game. Legitimately Carolina could be 3-8 going into the game which is not that much better than what the Dolphins are. the dolphins still have the Texans and jets on the schedule before facing the Panthers. They both could be 3-8 at that point in time. So they are going to be the favorites in the two jets games, giants (cause it’s at home), houston and potentially the Carolina game. There’s a chance they are the favorite in 5 of their last 10 games if watson actually able to play and they acquire him.

I'm not sure he or the Dolphins will have a choice.  Roger will try to save face with this Redskins Mitchell Report thing and suspend him, because that's how that weasel thinks.

I have a feeling the NFL would let him play. Which I think is the worst thing they could do. I think it’s dumb on their part

I just don’t think it gets done because I don’t think the Dolphins are willing to give up the picks unless they have conditions on them or he settles with these cases. which probably means he’s going to get suspended for this year when he does cause the nfl will get the facts at that point they are claiming they couldn’t and i tend to believe the dolphins rather him be suspended for this year when they aren’t going anywhere rather than next year.

Probably an unpopular take, but I would have no problem with the Eagles buying at the trade deadline provided they’re acquiring players who are under contract at least through 2022 and only cost mid-to-late-round picks. The trade deadline often is an expensive time to buy, but maybe there are some bargains involving players who don’t fit their current team’s plans.

Think we could get a quarterback?

It is true , while Hurts has not played well , the OL deserves some blame , and first and foremost , Siri has been a awful play caller , no imagination whatsoever , no identity on either side of the ball .

there is why I think it’s important you see week over week improvement , 7 weeks in , I have seen none .

He can play the rest of the year. I have no issues with that. I have seen nothing that tells me he will improve enough over the rest of the season to tell me he can make it as a NFL QB. In fact what I have seen are the same things/issues/concerns that he displayed prior to playing any games in the NFL. Year 2 has shown me nothing.

He can start the rest of the season, probably helps us in our draft position.

The only concerns I have about  keeping Hurts in there:

  • Hard to evaluate the development of our WR's, def stunts their ability and opportunities
  • Might lose the team if changes are not made, causing issues in the lockeroom
  • Continued dysfunction wont help you attract Free AGents to play here.
  • Worst case scenario is due to the lessor talent level we will face in part of the schedule coming up, his stats and legs fool our front office??? Not likely but a part of the fan base will certainly fall for this.
  • Wont know what Minshew could do here?

People are scoffing at a 6 but dont realize he's a backup LT with 1st round money.

Dillard for a 5 is more then reasonable. Wether we take it is another question.

Not getting a 1st, 2nd or 3rd for him lol.

What you don't understand is that Dillard is worth more to the Eagles than a 5. If I can't get at least a 2, I'm not trading him. And just because he's a backup here doesn't mean he's just a backup.

Who's to say our 1st won't be higher than Miami's?

Hopefully they are both top 5.....  that would be fantastic. But not likely

Jordan Mailata, Josh Sweat, Dallas Goedert, Quez Watkins, Devonta Smith, maybe Landon Dickerson, maybe Milton Williams, maaaybe Avonte Maddox. That's all we have to show for drafts 2017-now (still giving some time obviously to the 2020 and 2021 guys). Barnett and Sanders more than likely won't see second contracts.

We need all the draft picks we can get. Hoping for flat-out dumb luck at this point. Trade anybody who won't be on this team in 2023.

That wasnt my argument, and I agree.

We shouldnt get rid of him

But every think you heard about Dillard(so I'm sure the other GM's do too) is he's  a soft, injuried pac 12 player who can barely  get playing time on a bad Eagles team

They also have access to his film. He’s played well enough that a team could easily see him as a long term solution at LT.

Giants are a lot better then you think.

But even still. 50% of your games(which I highly doubt) as an under dog isnt an easy schedule.

The giants are in the same boat as the dolphins but have one more win then the dolphins. Their seasons are pretty comparable . Dolphins got blown out by the bills and the Bucs. The Giants got blown out by the Cowboys and the Rams. The Giants lost by three to the Falcons. The Dolphins lost by 2 to the Falcons. The Giants lost by one to Washington. The Dolphins lost by three to the jags in London. The Dolphins lost by three in overtime to 5-2  Raiders team where as the Giants lost by 14 to a Broncos team that is now 3-4. The Dolphins and the Giants both beat teams they shouldn’t have beat as they’re not better than them. The Giants beat the Saints and the dolphins beat the patriots. And that was more about timing of when those two teams played those two teams. The only difference is the Giants beat Carolina because darnold reverted back to a pumpkin and has looked worse than jalen hurts has

Would you make it 50% of the games that they would be the favorite if it wasn’t Deshaun Watson out there? Probably not. I wouldn’t have them as the favored against the Giants if Watson wasn’t their quarterback. I probably wouldn’t have them as the favorite if Wason wasn’t the quarterback against Carolina. Two games could be the difference from picking top 3 and picking at 8-10 range.

you really think he's shown he's a long term solution at the most important position in football? (or 2nd most behind the qb).

I believe a team would take a flyer on himfor a 5th or a 6th. I dont think a team would invest a ton (3rd or better for him) but again, if Im the eagles I'd rather keep him then get a 5 or a 6

I don’t think a team will pay a 3 or better for him, no. But I think a team could talk themselves into him being a long-term starter based on his recent play and pedigree.

Top 5 hated teams... Notre Dame, Cowboys, Penguins, Anything Lebron and a toss up between the Mets/Rangers/Giants.

All those teams havent been relevant in so long so it's hard to keep the hate up, but there fan bases are such clowns that they usually stay in the forefront.

I find it hard to believe anyone has the energy to hate a hockey team.

It's like hating curling, no one cares.

Actually I am, but it seems like the team isn't. Would be nice to see if Minshew could suffice because from what I'm hearing the draft and got nothing.

Honestly this is what should’ve been done at the end of the fools gold run at the end of 2019. But even the front office for months prior to the pandemic knew they needed to do a rebuild and admitted to that. Then decided to pull a 180 after the pandemic hit because there was three new coaches in the division and they could potentially win a crappy division. So they said screw doing the rebuild this year. Meanwhile they finish the last place anyways last year and delayed the inevitable rebuild for a year. The bigger picture was not seen by this organization that if they would’ve started the rebuild in the 2020 off-season that they could be done with it by the 2022 season and be a playoff caliber team by then. Instead now you got a wait until 2023 even though you were Crap last year anyway.

You cant say X team beat Y team so A and B team are the same. Or B team beat C team, which beat D team so D team is the best.

Example, if the Falcons played us tomorrow, we'd get boat raced.

Some may think Jacoby Brissett is better then Tua as you think the opposite.

The Dolphins have zero running game and have to go to New york at the end of the November and we know how those winds are.

But again, Easy schedule to me is when a team will be favored 70-80-90% of the time. I truly feel the Dolphins will be the Underdog 60-70%.

The Faclons aren't boat racing any team, especially one that hammered them by almost 30 points in week one. Yes, they may beat us if we played them this Sunday, but they wouldn't "boat race" us.

The Giants the week before they play Carolina got beat by the Rams by 27 points. And the week before that 24 points. The only reason the Giants beat Carolina is because Sam Darnold is awful. The Giants were not playing well. Leading up to the game this past weekend. They had lost the last two games by an average of 25.5 points. The Giants were just as bad as the Dolphins heading into that Carolina game

They are going to play the Jets at the end of November. you wanna make a bet I will bet you the Jets lose that game to the dolphins in November. Whether it’s tua or Deshaun Watson.

"really easy schedule"....

Bills, Baltimore, Titans, Patriots, Saints, Panthers are locked for losses(60% of the games left)

Then they have Giants(probably an L) The Jets twice, which if you watched both teams it'll probably be a split.

3-7 at best but probably 2-8. Yea, really easy schedule

Panthers and Saints aren't locked losses for any team.
