agree to disagree and we'll never find out.

The Falcons are night and day compared to week 1, and as we've seen once the tapes been out on Hurts its been embarrassing honestly.

Falcons 28-Eagles 17(with a garbage time touchdown)

Night and day? They lost to Tampa 48-25, barely beat the giants 17-14 (last second win, trailing most of the game), lost to Washington 34-30, beat the Jets 27-20, beat the Dolphins on a last second FG 30-28. How the hell can you consider them so much better than week 1? They are a really really bad team, same as us. Again, they aren't boat racing any team, even our crappy one.

No I don’t think you understand the Giants have not played well and you’re trying to make it like they’re better than what people think. No they are basically the dolphins with one more win cause they got to face darnold right now but had almost a similar type schedule and have shown the same issues as the dolphins.

I’m pretty sure you just ran away from a bet

Panthers and Saints aren't locked losses for any team.

I would say New England isn’t a lock either. They lost to the dolphins at home already with tua. So it’s not a given New England just beats them week 17 in Miami. Not only that New England always has problems going down to Miami. Even with Tom Brady there the patriots had trouble in Miami over the years. They are 2-6  in their last 8 games in Miami. And nearly lost to the Texans with mills starting. If tyrod isn’t hurt that game, New England might be 2-5 with how they played. None of those three games are locks.

again, we can agree to disagree.

they had 200 yards of offense against the eagles defense. Since then it's been basically 400+. Falcons NOW... would put up 28-35 EASY on this defense. but again, thats fine.

In this weird hypothetical  you keep arguing about, the falcons would only win 28-25 if they played us again, lol. feel better?

You made the statement we'd get boat raced by a bottom of the barrel team, who hasn't "boat raced" any team they've played this year, including teams that are actually far worse than us. I get you hate the Eagles, but you're just going overboard for some reason. It's not agree to disagree, you're flat out wrong. Nothing that Atlanta has done or is doing points to them boat racing any team in the league. We have been boat raced by the Cowboys, Chiefs, Bucs and Raiders, all teams with top offenses. Atlanta has a trash offense, and even worse defense.

So to sum up, you're wrong. And frankly, I think we'd still beat them if we played this Sunday.

I agree with everything on here except the last part. I think it’s a tossup at this point but I think will be close. Atlanta is not boat racing anybody. They barely beat the Giants and dolphins. The jets nearly came back and stole that game.

within in 3 posts you told me the falcons would win, and then 3 posts later you think the eagles would win.

Again, no point of arguing hypotheticals.

The game would likely be within 3 points, and I said the Falcons very well could beat us. But push comes to shove, I think the Eagles win.

Arguing hypotheticals is what half of the blog is about.

I dont bet on bad football teams. It's literally step 1 of a football betting guide.

I'll slow it down for you...

I DONT KNOW HOW MANY GAMES THE DOLPHINS WILL WIN.

BUT I DO KNOW... IF YOUR AN UNDERDOG FOR MORE THEN HALF YOUR REMAINING GAMES, ITS!!!!! NOT!!!!! AN!!!!!! EASY!!!!!!! SCHEDULE!!!!!!

Again running away from a bet you make comments towards other people about bets.

Let me make this real simple for you I told you that those three games were not locks. I never said their schedule was easy. Go read my first comment I wrote to you where in there does it say it’s an easy schedule? It does not. Just the fact that you came out and said those 3 games were locks was my argument to you that THEY WERENT LOCKS. I can also write in capital letters to things that you don’t seem to understand when comments to you was those three games aren’t locks!!!!!

Nowhere in there did I say their schedule was easy. Just your comment that those three games were locks. But good job reading

why are we arguing again??

I'll make a bet on the dolphins, they wont go .500 over there last  10 games.

Not running away from anything. I wont bet on a bad jets team, facing a bad dolphins team. but I know damn sure the Dolphins schedule isnt "easy"

how do you not know what our discussion was about? Literally my first comment to you was how are those three games against the Saints, New England, and Carolina considered locks which is what you said in your initial comment. They are not as all three of those teams have lost to bad teams and have been in games with bad teams and nearly lost.

again I never said they were going to go .500 in the last 10 games. Again something I never said that you somehow concocted into this. All I said to you was if they got Deshaun Watson in half of those games they are going to likely be the favorite if he is playing. Nowhere does that say they are going 5-5. But i don’t think they remotely have a chance at that with tua but with Deshaun not out of realm of possibilities considering they play the jets twice, houston, Carolina (playing like crap right now), giants and New England who’s 2-6 in their last 8 games in Miami. Those are six winnable games for Miami. Are they gonna win all six if they have watson? Hell no. However they aren’t what i consider locks. A lock would be the Cardinals play the Houston Texans. That’s a lock.

That wasnt my argument, and I agree.

We shouldnt get rid of him

But every think you heard about Dillard(so I'm sure the other GM's do too) is he's  a soft, injuried pac 12 player who can barely  get playing time on a bad Eagles team

He tore a bicep, that happens.

He's behind Mailata and Lane Johnson, it's not like he's behind two guys they picked up off the street.

What if I told you before the season that the number 3 ranked Fantasy player in all of football was Jalen Hurts who is right behind (at least in my league) Tom Brady and Derrick Henry.

Matt Pryor and a 7th round pick got a 6th round pick back. No way in the world would Dillard be traded for a 6th. It's brain dead to even go there as a writer.

Solak isn't a writer.  He's a youtube talking head.  His opinion is no more informed than anyone in the blog, and often it is less informed. Because as you state, the going rate for Dillard would far exceed a 6th round pick, plus he's cheap, plus he's a LT... plus, he was playing better at LT recently than Mailata.

Fantasy players=wins and losses?   I used to think that winning games mattered, but to some it doesn’t

Interesting nuggets including...

"It wouldn't be a shock to see an AFC North team call Philly about offensive tackle Andre Dillard, who is considered to be on the block. Browns and Ravens have had depth issues there."

"Some teams around the league are keeping an eye on Philadelphia's quarterback situation -- and whether Gardner Minshew gets a shot eventually. The consensus is the Eagles continue to stay with Jalen Hurts in the short term. But if the slide continues, coach Nick Sirianni might not have a choice. Hurts ranks 26th in QBR at 38.8. The quarterbacks behind him are either rookies or veterans who have had tenuous rides in the NFC West (Jimmy Garoppolo, Jared Goff). Scouts like Hurts but questioned whether he could get it done over a full season. Will he get a full season to help them find out?"

It's depressing how there's a possibility we could get the #1 and there's no great QB to pick

I had an old coach who used to say, "if you run a play and it's successful, run it again. Don't assume the other team got smart. Run it until they stop it."

In the last game we put Cox in the A gap and the other DT as a 3-tech, with an LB five yards deep over the center. Denver doubled Cox, turned the other guy (usually Hargrove) out, blocked the LB with the LT, and ran straight up the gut for 8-10 yards a pop. What did we do? Same alignment on the next play. So, straight up the gut, 8-10 yards.

My old coach was right.

Shiel Kapadia, who I respect a ton and is normally very reserved in his judgement, just unloaded on the Eagles coaching staff.  Says it’s hard to watch and review tape on this defense and can only imagine how hard it would be as a veteran player to want to play in it.  Then echoed my opinion about the offense.  Says there is no rhyme or reason or "scheme” to this offense.  No adjustments.  No setting up future plays.  Says the receivers are getting open (Smith mostly) but it’s not like it is all the time.  So again.  A scheme is not just about getting a WR open.  And a HC job is not just to get WR’s open.  There is no scheme on either side of the ball.  No direction.  The talent level isn’t very good but the coaching is worse.

Not talked about enough with the whole coaching search was the fact the Eagles were dumb enough to wait an entire week to fire Doug to start their search.  So they were already behind everybody else in their coaching search. For instance Smith wasn’t going to wait around when the Falcons offered him that head coaching job. Not that he would take the Eagles job, eagles wanted or that he was a great candidate but being a week behind everyone makes it that much harder if you did want him.

I like Watkins don’t get me wrong but just how good has he looked? Out side of one huge catch for 91 yards his numbers haven’t been good.

18 catches 348 yards 0 TDs.

That’s just over 2 catches a game. Now his average is 18.3 per catch but the 91 yarder makes up most of that.

Now that could be Jalen Hurts being terrible Nick Sirianni coaching or maybe his numbers are what they are. I’ll tell you this the WRs have been so bad lately in Philly that when a WR does anything it seems more than what it is.

That said I do like Watkins and hope he’s a star.

I mean it's not a breakout year.  It's also not a breakout year for any of the receivers.  I think the difference between this and other years is that we can see his talent at the position.  He gets open.  He catches the ball.  He's good after the catch.  It's encouraging for a late round pick but yeah encouraging isn't the same as making it.

I wouldn't care, nor would I think it meant anything about his actual play.

There was a curling stone at a local play it again sports store in town. I really wanted to buy it and just go to the ice skating rink here and try it out. I still regret not buying and doing so

that doesn’t mean they are locks. New England has better coach and talent and yet still lost to Miami in New England this year. And lost 6 out of the last 8 in Miami with all that those times too

They use a different ice surface for curling than a skating rink.   Curling ice is 'pebbled'.  So, just taking it to the skating rink won't do anything like you expect it would.
