No it won't, they had 2 games in a row before the Titans games where they didn't sit him with game in hand and the same people were still claiming they will sit him.

At this point I feel if anyone is still on that side, it’s because they want him benched.

Should end. Of course it won’t because people will stick to them doing a complete 180 to "preserve the pick”

Do the Colts want him to get hurt?

That’s what has me ridiculously nervous right now

They want to be right more then they want the pick.

It’s bittersweet watching Wentz play well

Question will be can he play well vs good or playoff teams.  He's always been good vs bad teams except for last year.  I'm sure next week vs the Texans, another bad team, he'll play good.

I care about Wentz’s performance only because it directly impacts a potential first-round pick. Beyond that, whatever. It was over here.

Well, that's 57 O snaps in the book for Wentz tonight.  Only 8 minutes to go so hope the NYJ can take their time driving down the field to score and take lots of time off the clock.  Then even if the Colts put in their backup QB he'll only get a few to a handful of snaps at most.  With this win Colts are still in the WC hunt in the AFC and after his brainfarts last week Wentz has played well tonight as well so getting closer to that 75%.

Yeah there is no reason to leave him in but oh well.

I'd be fine with him just handing off.

Nice.

I don’t feel 100% that they wouldn’t sit him if they lose too many games. No one really knows. People act like they do but they don’t.

Look a kwitty paye sighting

The Wentz/Eagles divorce needed to happen, always felt it was right move. But When he plays well, it takes me back to 2017. When Wentz used to be really good in Philly it was some of the most fun I’ve had as a fan. So That’s all it is for me, just some nostalgia.

Cole took the pass to the junk.

Come on. No more incomplete passes. Keep the clock running.

In case anyone was wondering, this is Garbage time.

That’s different. At the start of the season I definitely felt like if one or any combination of these things came true, we wouldn’t get that 1st rd pick.

1. Wentz has significant injury

2. Wentz plays as bad or worse than 2020 Wentz

3. Wentz plays ok but Colts have only won 1 or 2 games and Titans are running away with division crown with wildcard also not plausible

The Jets are down a starting WR. Elijah Moore has two TDs. He’s rotating with Mims, Crowder, Cole and Smith for some damn reason in a blowout loss.

That seems really dumb.

He wants to prove everyone wrong. People thinking he’d voluntarily bench himself have always been hilariously insane.

People seem to be fixated on the Colts benching Wentz to preserve the first-round pick. The real need is for Wentz to soak up as many snaps as possible in case of an injury that could cause him to miss games and then eventually be shut down to preserve the pick in a lost season.

Oh yeah, an absolute wild and absurd take. Especially from Eagles fans

Really good point I hadn’t thought of

The Jets keeping it within 2 scores so Wentz has to play is hilarious.

Come on Wentz. Hand that ball off.

He wouldn't bench himself.  One thing you can't question with Wentz is toughness.  He'd play on 2 broken legs if he could.

Still, the Colts themselves should take him out.  There is no need to keep him in at this point.

Jets gonna get the ultimate back door cover?
