Won’t make it to either on waiver wire.

Does anyone claim him? His contract is huge. Not sure exactly how it works but I think if a team claims him they pick up his existing contract. If they don’t they can essentially pay him whatever. Not sure though.

Ok and?

He also went to the Raiders and caused a circus. Then went to NE and again was a distraction.

And my point is he isn’t going to kill a winning culture.

that was his point. Why would the Lions, Jags, us, anyone try to win games at this point in the year.

He clears the first 11-12 teams just because they want to stay bad.

My dark horse... the Colts. Colts WR core blows

Miami , Jville

give your young QB as  much talent as you can ,he was upset about his lack of use , would get plenty with those teams

I honestly think Howie tries. 1 game out of the playoffs, vet minimum, and 2022 and 2023 are not guaranteed. Plus we are 8th on the waiver wire. Regardless if people hate it there is no risk. Howie is gonna do whatever to win games and stay employed.

That team was still winning without AB. And he knew the slightest slip up was getting him axed.

So you’re saying he didn’t kill the winning culture?

0.0% chance OBJ ends up an Eagle.

All the TDs in the super bowl came from players added last year , Gronk , AB and Fournette  , AB was huge for the Bucs second half of last year , best route runner on the team .

OBJ isn't the kind of person a team with a young roster brings in.  He's also a declining player who likely doesn't realize he's a declining player.  He doesn't really do much for the team in the present and there's no future with him; he'll still want a big money contract.

He's a player that screams "rental" to try to make a run for a few months.

I was as well when I heard him say it. I have no idea what Troy was talking about. You know about as much as I do. WR caught a high ball, he said high point, then apologized to anyone who may have been offended.

That's stupid.  WRs are taught to 'high point' a ball whenever possible, as in, you go up and get the ball to catch it at the highest point of your jump.  Any other context that that phrase exists is completely irrelevant to the context it was used.  There is nothing offensive about it and no one should have to apologize for using it.

Well Hurts came in and instantly moved the offense against Green Bay.  Then the next game in his first start he beats what was at the time the top seed in the NFC.  So it looked like he was increasing our chances and success at the time.

People around here forget how bad Wentz was last season.

Wentz was dysfunctional but it's clear the dysfunction extended  to the coaching staff and front office. The problem is Howie manages up only to appease Lurie.  If we had a competent GM, they would have been concerned about fixing Wentz.  Hurts looked more athletic but he was fumbling a ton and not great passing the ball.  It was a crap show of an offense with Hurts last season.  Ultimately the question is whether Wentz is able to be an above average QB long-term vs. the Eagles ability to get an above average QB because Hurts is not that and doesn't appear to be headed in that direction.

That's why I said "trying to build a winning culture". If he goes to a powerhouse like Rams, Bucs, Packers etc who already are contenders that's one thing. Going to somewhere like here, NY, Washington etc to a team with an incomplete roster and not a great QB in place would be a bad idea.

This should end the "will they bench Wentz?” nonsense

Should?  Yes.   Will it though?   You know the answer to that.

A WR to take away the few passes Devonta, already see’s?  Yea, nope.   Waddle has already caught 15 more than him and be assured Smith isn’t thrilled about that.

Also have no idea why anyone would want someone like OBJ to mentor Smith.

I think it’s the opposite. I think OBJ helps Smith get more targets. No one is scared of Reagor.

Probably "this management and coaching staff don't have a clue, can't wait to get out of here".

Well, to be fair, we were all thinking that, so it would fit.   Funny that Manu knew exactly the moment that Wentz started to have those thoughts though.  I didn't know he was a mind reader.

You mean garbage time points?   Yes... he threw a miracle throw to Greg Ward after scrambling around and running... wait for it.... to his right.

Then the miracle of all miracles, Reagor is back for a punt and returns it for a touchdown after dropping it.

Against the Saints, with Taysom Hill, Hurts played the role of Wildcat QB, and the Saints D wasn't prepared for it.  But, he hardly played 'well' in that game, and even fumbled at a point in the game that the only job he had was to NOT fumble.  And he put up more points than a Taysom Hill led Saints offense that, for whatever reason, refused to run the ball with Hill.  They tried to make him a passer and it failed... miserably.

Wentz was bad last year.  Hurts wasn't better.    Hurts still isn't better and he's getting worse.  You seem to forget why Hurts lasted until the 2nd round and that most publications had him listed as a potential 3rd round pick.  He's not a passer.  He's a runner.

I think OBJ is getting way overrated. He'll go somewhere but most teams aren't going to want the headache. They just saw him and his dad call out the QB and act like a diva. Teams trying to build a winning culture aren't going to want that..

He hasn't been the same player since he hurt his ankle.  He was a great WR.  I think he would do well with a number of teams but he needs to get targets.  I think a team like KC or the Raiders would use him. I think he could be very productive in KC.

He was a great WR, but he was always a mental case.  Now, he's just a mental case and an average (at best) WR.

Tua hurt + Tyrod playing. Can we actually get a Dolphins loss to the Texans?

Add on with the Saints game that gets forgotten in the win and no one talks about the fact Williams dropped an easy pick 6 that would’ve likely changed the outcome of that game. Hurts threw it directly to Williams. If Williams could catch a football that is a easy pick six and that game plays out much differently. That was one of the worst throws Hurts made all of last year. The Eagles in the second half of that game were not good on offense. And the Saints were playing their third road game in three weeks and you saw in the second half when they came out to play the Eagles nearly blew the game. With a bad fumble and a bad throw that easily could have been a pick six

Exactly... that's what happened every game last year.

Let's go!

Also, Miami should claim OBJ for the chaos.
