Pickett really isn't all that accurate. He misses some relatively routine throws pretty often.

Yeah, a healthcare company probably shouldn’t partner with someone spewing BS about a vaccine it’s aggressively ruing to get its patients to take.

You couldn’t possibly disagree with that, right?

Seriously. At least wait till State Farm drops him before crying about cancel culture.

Yup.

There were some people complaining about cancel culture when the Raiders cut Ruggs. It's absurd.

I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am.

Steer clear of this QB draft class RD 1 unless someone like Pickett surprisingly slips into RD2.

If he was with all state he would’ve been protected from mayhem of cancel culture.

Helluva game btw Wake Forest and North Carolina

I’m thrilled the state is going after the maximum 46 years with the other charges added

He also comped Corral to Zach Wilson.

Not trying to tout that I was right, since I’m wrong plenty (and it’s way too early), but I never liked Zach Wilson as a top 10 pick.

He was not on the radar as a top prospect until one huge year with a rapid ascent in a non-competitive conference.  Part of that ascent was that he generated a Mahomes comp during the peak of Mahomes fever.

He had the big arm, but there was just no precision or reproducibility in his game.  Pocket presence was poor.  He ran around, improvised, and fired it in with throws that flashed his raw arm talent.  Mahomes locked in with the best offensive coach of this generation and unstoppable weapons….Wilson has a defensive minded HC and is with a franchise that ruins qbs.

Howell just got hurt scrambling for the endzone. Looks like a shoulder injury.

Yup good game.  Sam Howell just got hurt too.

Repeat after me, Eagles are 13 in ppg, despite all the ups and downs of the first 8 games.

They may finish the season in the top 10, if the OL jells, Sirianni uses more play action off a top rushing game, and Hurts settles in behind more consistent pass blocking.

If they had an above average defense (we'll see how they progress the second half), they'd be a legitimate playoff team even with Hurts at QB. Because his running ability adds a dimension that allows you to be patient with his slow development, much like Lamar, who he is similar in his impact on the offense.

Hurts  73  432  5 TDs

Lamar 76  480  2 TDs (7 games)

While you worry about most running QBs, how many hard hits has Hurts taken as a runner? Fewer than in the pocket, and far fewer than Wentz did. That's b/c Hurts has good instincts in the open field, is build like a power back (strong and squat), and he doesn't have an upright running style like most QBs.

Yes, they could upgrade, but given the whole package, they could also downgrade just as easily with a 1st rd QB, especially in this draft.

So many of the points have come when the game was decided and 44 of them against a team that could be winless.  This is not to say draft a QB in the first or second or at all.  But Hurts is not a starting NFL QB.  I'd love him as a back up, but not starting.

And by the way, play action will only work if they run the ball regardless of 8 or 9 in the box.

If it's a season ending injury, no doubt he'll be the Eagles' 2nd round pick then.

Yup. I mentioned at the beginning of the draft process at some point in time he and possibly even lance were going to get compared to Mahomes. It was inevitable for Wilson and ridiculous.

Looking forward to A&M and Auburn , I think Calzada ends up a future first rd pick . I would really like to see Nix play well , I like what he offers , just hasn’t been consistent

My fav college team TCU vs  Baylor , I expect TCU to get blown out , they have been bad , hence firing Patterson after 20 years , hopefully they land a top coach , money won’t be a problem , Patterson was making over 6 million a year .

Joe Banner comes off so tone-deaf sometimes.

He's back in so we're good.

Wilson belonged in the top of the draft. He throws the football at an elite level. He has to be smarter and he needs to work on his pocket presence, but the physical tools are certainly there.

I had Wilson as my top QB , he has been a little disappointing , awful team around him though  , I think he ends up a good QB

maybe Trask ends up the top of that class

He needs to realize he doesn’t have BYU’s OL against terrible competition. Take a check down every once in a while.

Wakes RPO offense has been cranking this year

Calzada can spin it

Seems UNC was offside a couple times late in this game and they didn't call it.

Wake choked

QBs Id like to draft, maybe, but prefer all D.

1. Strong -latest 1st round pick

2. Pickett- 2nd round, Ridder 2nd round

3. Corrall- 3rd round

Anyone else on the Aqeel Glass train yet?
