The Astroworld/Travis scott stuff is insane. He was arrested for starting a riot and 8 people died. The videos and stories from people are sad.

There are reports of some of the injured having been pricked with a needle in neck/ back before passing out including an officer on the scene who said he was helping when he felt a P r ick in his neck before going unconscious, including the mark on his neck when awoke???

Sounds like something nefarious was going on.

This is a thing I have read about, the article I read said it was increasingly common in London. I guess it is happening here too. They were calling it needle spiking I think. Instead of spiking a drink people are actually out there jabbing people with needles now. Crazy...

Yeah, they had give him narcan. And there is a lot of people saying they were being stampeded. Also, there are people saying there feet werent on the ground for awhile because they were constantly on people. Passed out people had to be crowd surfed out.

Pretty much what I called to E45 yesterday.  No brag, just the obvious roster moves. Not so obvious but the Eagles should IR JJAW and add Howard to the active roster after the game rather than expose him on Tuesday.

PSU is so fast on D , I like Brisker a lot ,  he along with Hill and Joseph make up my favorite 3 safeties

No Hamilton?  That said, I like Hill, Brisker and Joseph behind Hamilton in that order.

Ridder with another poor game , he is another QB I done see it with , needs so much work .

275 yards 65 percent completion 2 passing TDs 1 int with 45 yards rushing and 1TD rushing is a poor game?

Now I know it wasn’t a great game for him (horrible fumble) but it wasn’t a poor game. Also his WRs stink. There Defense is legit though.

When it happens once at his concert it can be chalked up to an accident but when it keeps happening it's more an established pattern of behavior I wouldn't be surprised if authorities charge him with inciting a riot or something.

He already was in 2017. And there are rumors he was last night but I can’t find any evidence of that.

So, Joe Rogan isn’t an attending physician there?

Pretty sure he can afford doctors most of us can't. If they suggested things I'd trust it. As he said he can afford medicine (and anything else he needs with that salary at Spotify).

Yes a poor game , struggling against a bad team , he’s raw , he is a cpl years from starting in the NFL ,  he does nothing for me

JR said AFan was a "pillar” of the Blog.   Some people take this place way too seriously.  I thought it was a silly choice of words.

AF certainly brings a perspective… it was recently the anniversary of the Foles 7 TD game. AF loved himself some Riley Cooper.

I think it’s a sad existence if that’s your identity.  And I’ve been on the EMB since 2000.  Just a different name.  Just not in the blog.

Well, I doubt that is their entire identity. Maybe they dont even identify as that at all. Those were my words, not theirs.

oh ok.

I would like to see everyone's pillars. Would people have 3, 4, 5, 7? Lets see them.

Im going:

JR, I_P, BigE, greend, afan, Manu, veejer

Those are mainly the guys who I think have been posting in the blog longer than me, and are still here. I think there may be 7 pillars. But I could be forgetting someone (and am purposely leaving matwill out because he doesnt post now).

Nova. (RIP) will always be a pillar for me. You’re getting long in the tooth in here, too.

What I conclude is the offense isn't a train wreck, and it has the potential to be much better by the end of the season.

It's not a matter of Hurts becoming a great passer, he just has to be adequate, because he really is an elite runner for a QB, he's not as fast as Lamar, but much more powerful.

And the OL has the potential to be elite, even without Brooks, and if Brooks returns, watch out. Dickerson is still learning on the job, but he's a legitimate road grader, as is Mailata. The biggest weakness has been inconsistent pass blocking, but establishing the run will help there, as will reps for the left side.

The guy I'm watching the next couple weeks is Jackson, he could be the big possession WR/H-back they need to balance out this group, excellent athlete at 6'7 and as a former QB, understands route running.

The second half schedule is much easier, if the defense picks it up a notch they have a legitimate shot at the playoffs. Which at the least is a good developmental experience.

Last year, with Wentz, they scored 334 points, 20.9 per game.  That was against the Cowboys (2) 28th in ppg, Cle 21st, Cin 22nd, . They played the five top defenses in the Rams, Steeler, Ravens, Saints, WFT (2), and NYG (2) 9th. So it was skewed down a bit by a tough schedule.

We don't need to compare Hurts to Wentz last year.  We can just watch Hurts and see that he is overmatched as an NFL QB.  If he became 'adequate', that would be a significant upgrade over what he's been recently.  Maybe if he could use more of the field than from the right hash to the sidelines, and from behind the LOS to about 15 yards downfield...

And I don't consider Hurts' running as part of the evaluation.  It's not sustainable at the NFL level, especially in the playoffs, to have a running QB.  So, Hurts' running ability is likely more of a liability than an asset, as that's his crutch, and it's becoming a wheelchair.  He's so reliant on his legs, he's not developing the rest of his game, and is starting to regress and is actually using less of the field than at earlier parts of the season, and that's hard to believe with how limited his use of the field was early in the season.

Been on EMB since the 2000 season with the pickle juice game. I remember Dave saying the eagles had tricks up their sleeve for that game. That Bucs loss in the nfc title game was one of the worst times i can remember on the board. Everyone was depressed and angry for like 3 months after that. That rams/eagles nfc title game season was a nice time on the boards. Cause you could see the eagles coming and a lot of us thought we could beat the rams cause we played them close in week 1 that year.

Made a new account in 2003 after i got too many warning points for posting "illegal” streams to eagles games. Used to use the old Philly inquirer boards for the Phillies back when they got good. It’s nice having that thread along with the flyers and sixers on here.
