My comp for Strong was Bledsoe  , and the more I watch him the more Bledsoe  I see .

love his arm and his downfield passing , but he better go to a team with a stout OL and a quick passing game  .

I still have Corral my top QB , I really like Zappe and Barriere , just not sure they get a fair shake , coming from smaller schools. , Barriere has the arm and legs to beat you

not sure either declares but I have Levis and Jurkovec rated much higher than most , both do so much pro stuff .

Pickett is probably the only QB I would consider starting as a rookie , just not much more to him than what you already see , he is a more consistent Trubisky to me .

Saying a car should only go so fast , is like saying a gun should only fire so many bullets  , the car and the gun aren’t the problem , the idiots in control of them are .

The difference is in order to shoot a gun for entertainment I need to go to a gun range or be hunting. There is a safety for when you’re carrying. You can only carry certain places.

These cars should be allowed to be on the track. I don’t know what the answer is but there needs to be some sort of safety measure when on regular roads.

I had a guy telling me at work the other day he hit 130 on the bridge here. That bridge is probably half a mile and one lane. That’s insane.

That’s on him , I have a car with just under 1,000 HP , and no doubt I could hit 160 or more , the difference is , I’m smarter than that , even  navigating 95 north into Philly from Maryland , I have never had the need to do more work 85 mph

Let's put the speed of that car into perspective...

154 mph...   that's roughly 75 yards every second.   So, he was driving from end line of end zone to end line of end zone in under 1.5 seconds.

The maximum acceleration to stop a car in street production is roughly 0.8 g's... meaning to hit his brakes at maximum acceleration, it would take over 8.5 seconds to come to a stop... and travel 320 yards before actually coming to stop... And that's not considering reaction time.  Just in the average reaction of an unimpaired driver (~1/7 second), the car would have traveled more than 10 yards... but since he had more than double the legal limit of alcohol in his bloodstream, that reaction time was likely much, much higher... meaning, he'd have likely taken more than 3 full football fields, including end zones to come to a stop, without something in the way to slow the car down faster.

Both cars traveled more than 500 feet after impact, police said. ... His car impacted (the victim’s) vehicle at 127 mph, investigators wrote in court documents.”

Officials says both Ruggs' car and the Toyota rolled over 500 feet after the initial impact ... where the Rav4 caught on fire.

Agreed it’s on him.

So Henry Ruggs. He was drinking and driving. That’s a problem. He’s an idiot. But the fact that a car can get to 156 mph is a problem too. No one EVER needs to reach that speed. There needs to be something in a street legal car that doesn’t let it go over 90. That girl would be alive if he didn’t drink and drive but she would also be alive if a that car didn’t let him make that god awful decision. That family should sue that car company for as much as they can get.

My cars can reach those speeds. You dont need more govt every time a moron morons.

I also don’t drink , so I wouldn’t be in a position to make such a poor decision , Ruggs is a moron for what he did , and he will pay , but I feel confident in saying had he not been drinking , he wouldn’t have been doing 158 mph .

I’m asking for more of a deterrent. A switch you can’t reach while in the driver’s seat. Cops check it during regular stops, if it’s turned off then you are hit with a big fine. It’s not gonna be 100% effective and probably wouldn’t have changed this situation. But it could save lives and that’s important.

Emotionally reacting to outliers leads to bad management/leadership. Learn this. Please.

We have speed limits set by the government. It’s a fair question why American street cars are made to reach such speeds.

It’s something I’ve wondered about myself, and not just in knee jerk reaction to situations like this. I haven’t heard a rational explanation for it, but admittedly I’m not a car guy.

If Eagles can run the ball and eat up the clock on drives they have a chance.

@LeanMeanGM

I think the question is more about whether or not the Eagles will run the ball.  I think it is fairly well established that they can

Well here we go.  Back at home.   Isn't it about time for a Big Home Win?   I want to see something like Detroit but at Philly.   A Dominating performance on both sides of the ball.  Did we finally turn a corner last week?  Or will we see the same issues from the past?   The Running Game has been a problem all year (Mostly play calling, not Miles fault)   We may have finally found the right mix with Boston and Jordan.   Eagles don't play the Chargers a lot only 12 match ups.    This is the 13th game between us.   Chargers lead 7-5 but the Eagles lead in the Philly 3-2.    They have the worst Run D in the league.    I want the balance to continue but definitely more than 15 Passes for Jalen.    I think we take care of business.  Chargers are a good team but they are beatable like any team.   Pressure Justin and run down their throats.   I could see us putting up some big points again.

No one NEEDS to go 160 on the highway but the real issue here is drinking and driving.

HP, torque and power actually help you when driving.  Ever been in a situation where you need to accelerate to get by a truck because they don't see you or you need to hit the perfect merge point?  If you have a car with no balls it puts you and others in danger.  I have a 400+ HP vehicle yet I use cruise control around 75-80 when driving.  I rarely hit 90 as there's no need.  It's nice to know however that if I need to step on it, my car will react.  What's nice is being able to get up to speed as quick as possible.  One of my biggest driving pet peeves is that people think on ramps are meant to stop on until there's a window of no cars.  You should be using the on ramp to get up to speed and merge in to traffic.  The weaker the car, the harder it is to do so.  I drove my dad's CX-5, which has about 185 HP and accelerating to get to speed or around traffic was just horrible.  There was no throttle response.

Being able to handle a powerful car is another thing.  If people are looking for more regulations (which is the last thing we need)  maybe what they need to look in to is a different class license for higher HP vehicles.  300 HP used to be a measuring point to hit whereas now, 300 HP is a starting point for many vehicles.  If you can't handle the power you shouldn't be driving that car.  You want to get a 700 HP Jeep Trackhawk then you need a Class HP License.  You need to take a driving test on a road course and in wet conditions.  I don't know just throwing ideas out there.

Again, the real issue is don't drink and drive.

If there is going to be a run this year then it starts today.  Seems like the odds are against it but if it happens it does so thru the OL controlling the los and the Eagles run game doing the damage.  Scott and Howard both looked good last week.  They have a shot at doing it again.
