I’m for allowing some wiggle room on street cars — the speed limit might be 75 (maybe faster in some areas), but let the car get to triple digits or whatever. Like someone said earlier, Japan set it for 112 mph, but what is the purpose of a car getting to 156?

I would offer that there are areas out in west Texas where 150 mph is safer than 75mph would be in my subdivision.  Speed is relevant to the situation. He was driving 156 in a residential urban area.  75 would have been nonsense there.

Tua has been playing "well", so this is a downgrade. Go Texans!

Dolphins play on Thursday too.

If only DET can win a game or something, that sweet #1 pick would be within our grasps.

Lol I'm so glad you guys can't make laws

These guys are about as qualified as the ones that actually do it.

(no, that's not a compliment to these guys)

Houston playing hard today for those that were lost at that concert? Maybe a stretch. Also is this game where that took place or in Miami?

Average arm talent would be okay, but I am not sure they can coach quicker reads into Hurts. He is too slow to pull the trigger.

Slow to pull the trigger, fast to escape the pocket unnecessarily.  Bad combination.

So. 36 to 24.

That’s nonsense.  Sue the car company because the car can go fast?  Nonsense. The traffic engineers, MUTCD and legislators set speed limits. If we choose to exceed them, that is our decision.  That’s like blaming the ladder company because you ignored three points of contact and leaned out over balancing the ladder (been there, done that and have a permanent dent in my calf where I tore my muscle as a result).   We have to except responsibility for our actions and not blame the tools or the manufacturers of those tools for the result.  That sort of over regulation is what people rebel against.  And we get far too much regulation by litigation.  Your theory does not fit the strict liability model for products nor should it.  The speed a car can achieve is not an inherent defect.  Then when the car gets t boned or rear ended because it could not accelerate through an intersection or in merging traffic, we accept that limitation because at least the car could not exceed the speed limit.  That describes my underpowered Cutlass whose speedometer did not exceed 90 mph.

Ever see the warning labels on things and wonder... why do they need to put this on the package?

Yeah... because stupid people do stupider things and then look for someone to blame it on.  And our courts generally side with the morons and give them payouts, or the companies fear the generosity for stupidity from the court system and settle so the problem goes away...

Seriously???  🤦‍♂️

@LeanMeanGM Eagles rely on their running game today and that isn’t a Bosa strength. Hopefully Sirianni isn’t mesmerized by the Chargers’ secondary injury woes and continues to add play action and motion to the game.  Which Herbert do we see.  Hopefully the one from the last two weeks.

Bonus. Hurts completes a pass over the middle.

Probably has something to do with this

The overall tone in here is pretty interesting, where at least half the folks seem to think the Eagles can not only win today but make a push on the back of the schedule.  The tone a week ago was very few seemed to think we would even beat the Lions

Every mid-tier QB or above has shredded the Eagles pass defense so far -- it will be interesting to see if the Eagles can take a step forward in that regard.  If not, I forecast lots of negative vitriol returning and dominating the blog later today.

Belichick a week late to be coming in as grandpa for Halloween

Doesn't matter to me what the genesis is... if its because of a cartoon, even more the shame.  Cartoons are cartoons!

I think the schedule may allow the let playoff spot, I also think that would be harmful to the long term plan.  Lowers the Eagles pick, and potentially sells them on Hurts.

He’s gotta be doing this on purpose.

Should have added, at least, but yeah. Not feeling optimistic here for whatever reason, despite the Chargers having a really bad run D. Have no faith in the Eagles ability to sustain drives

@LeanMeanGM

LA Chargers - 31

Eagles - 20

Herbert throws for 350 yards. Chargers get up early and Eagles stop running.

That’s his no days off attitude in that picture. My grandfather put his pants on like this you knew he meant business

I’m still of the opinion that tickets should be a small percentage of income. It’s hard to deter this kind of behavior when the ticket is pennies to some people.
