I don't care where they played just want good players

I agree but the track record of bringing in former division rival players is as bad as Howie's drafting.

Brian Mitchell is the only ex-division player I can think of who played well as an Eagle.  Dhani Jones was a capable starter but I don't think he was a great signing.

Off the top of my head, these players have all come here and been trash.

Upset is the wrong word.  He went over and sat on the bench next to,Hurts and talked about how he would have liked the ball placed.  You can see it is a teammate discussion.  I think that kind of fits both players.

Yea they had a discussion but his facial expression after the throw and on the way back to the sideline spoke volumes if you ask me.  He was clearly bothered/upset by the bad throw.

Herbert didn’t even notice, that’s real disguise

Herbert is top three against the blitz as a QB.

Thank you, I have often stated this. Teams sometimes get enamored with aplayer because of how they played against you, witho0ut taking into account just how bad your team may actually be.

B Mitchell was the exception. I cant think of any others in the past 20-30 years.

Mark Bavaro was ok for a bit. Dhani Jones, meh, ok nothing to write home about.  Most do not work out well.

Can we trade Hurts for Herbert? I'll gladly throw in Indy's pick, and Gannon, Brooks, JJAW, Reago and anyone else we need to jetison...

Bavaro was just past his prime, the expectations for him were low if I recall.

Former Eagles playing well for division rivals.  Our old pal DeAndre Carter had a 101 yard KO return TD earlier in the year.  Meanwhile, Hightower can't get to the 20.

The heavy reliance on a power running game by the Eagles in recent weeks suggests to me that they finally see Hurts as a caretaker type of QB. In that role, he did OK, not great, yesterday - no turnovers.

However, for such a team to realize ultimate success, they need an elite defense.

All we need is 9 more players then.

-Marcus Epps needs more reps.

-Why does Watkins have 10 more snaps than Smith?

-Why did Boston Scott play the most snaps of any RB?

-They only lined up with more than 3 WR 3 times while the Chargers were without their top CB.  I know they are running the ball but the NFL has never been more pass happy and the Eagles can't pass the ball.

-O-line played the entire game together.   Good to see.

There's a very specific reason for that.

The media has talked more about Rodgers than Ruggs.

There’s no debate when it comes to the Ruggs situation. Rodgers is also a way more popular and polarizing figure so of course.

I would be a little concerned with Howie making the picks , his track record is bad , at this point your stuck with him  , him and his staff are already scouting  , no way Lurie fires him  .

Yes, I am a little concerned.

Yikes.  Blitzed on 30% of the dropbacks and Herbert was only hit once and had no other pressure.  That's bad.

Hit once and they were flagged for a personal foul on that hit.   And the hit came from the CB, no big bodies got contact on the QB.  That's a problem in this league.

And a coordinator that knows what he's doing.

Eagles' kick returner options have been really strange. Quez and Hightower have atypical body types for that role. Reagor has the ideal body type for that role.

This was the most Pro QB look Hurts has shown since he’s been in Philly.

That's very true.

The problem is not just the blitz %. Its the man/zone %. When your playing the same soft zone behind a blitz your done for.

I get some teams are more dominate zone, some dominate man. But they will at least mix in a variation to not get completely predictable.

I would love for them to get more break downs on the man/zone ratio. I think that is a bigger issue right now. Don;t get me wrong, you need to send some heat in there. But there needs to be a bigger variation all around. Chargers just killed us on a quick drag to the sidelines last night since they knew the Eagles would be in a soft cover 2 sink shell all game. Sent a outside rec deep and that sideline is open all day.

Somehow worse than our 2020 draft.

Was it Hightower, who got light up yesterday?

Not sure, but I noticed him more back there. Quez has gotten lit up back there other times this year. Neither guy makes sense there.

Yup I remember one play where a TE leaked out short sideline and there was absolutely no one near him while there were 4 defenders in the middle of the field covering 1 receiver🤔

I can't imagine that's how Gannon drew it up but I wouldn't be surprised if he did

Little concerned is the understatement of the year.

Yep over that stupid vax crap, agendas matter

I mean it's not an agenda issue.  There's nothing to talk about on the Ruggs front.  He's not playing in the NFL.  He killed a woman driving drunk.  What is there to talk about? Rodgers lied repeatedly about his vaccination status.  He did not follow rules for unvaccinated players. The team let him not follow the rules.  He's a star player on a top NFC team.  His playing status is dependent on his recovery.  There's a question as to what extent the Packers and Rodgers face consequences from the League. It's an ongoing story.  Ruggs' story isn't until the criminal process moves along.

Yes exactly, and somebody pointed out no talk about Saquon who also tested positive. But Saquon is vaxxed, and was quiet about it. Of course Rodgers is the lead story, it's by far the most interesting.

How do folks grade Davion Taylor's play yesterday?  He made 8 tackles, a couple of good solid form hits, made some decent plays playing downhill but also got pancaked by the OG on a 10-yard gain on a running play and missed on a couple of angles as well.

He looks more suited as an OLB than a MLB to me -- but resembling an NFL LB at all at least shows some development.

Eagles' best player this year has been Arryn Siposs... change my mind.
