There’s been issues since the raiders got to Vegas of their players thinking they are gods gift to the community. And basically being aholes to the locals like they should bow to them for coming to Vegas. Have a friend works security in the casinos tell me he’s had multiple issue with players since the strip has reopened

Because NFL players are the only celebrities in Vegas.

They really haven’t had any problems with the nhl players. Even when USA basketball has their stuff in Vegas they haven’t been bad either

Very few WRs are productive after 30, if you look at the league leaders, 28 seems to be the cutoff age.

So as far as FA WRs, pass unless you can get a bargain on a one year deal to buy time to develop your own in-house.

Been there, done that.

I think he's fairly measured.  He's not Hurts is a great QB.  He's saying Hurts looked better.  He was super critical of Gannon and the passive defense.

He comes off as a huge Hurts guy to me. It was after Week 1 he was gushing saying he's everything you want in a franchise QB and easily going to become "their guy" or something to that intent. Other games  Hurts has played bad there was some excuse making also.

Our WR's as a whole have maybe 250 over that 6 weeks though right?

Smith and Quez have a combined 601 over the last 6 weeks. Not amazing by any stretch, but together they average 100/game.

He looked like this in the PS too.  He should be RB1 until Sanders is back.

But, he also illustrates that you don't need to spend big money on a RB to get effective play from that position.

Everybody saw Howard in preseason and felt he should be in the mix.

Yet again we only play him if really forced to. Granted, the whole league agreed. Lesson to be learned? Teams are pretty clueless.

Boy Ruggs is getting a lot of pitty and support for a guy who killed someone…

Do JJAW and reagor now lol

Looking ahead at the Eagles FA. OTC currently has the Eagles with about $3.7 in cap space.  They currently have almost $21 million in current cap space which unless I'm wrong, they can roll all of that over correct?

Does that put them at almost $25 million for 2022 FA?

Upcoming FA-

Dallas Goedert- I just don't know.  I've made my case for a while that paying a TE top dollar is a luxury the Eagles can't afford.  He's played well since Ertz was traded.  Can they tag and trade him?  Franchising him eats up a lot of their cap space.

Hassan Ridgeway- Going on 28.  He's a solid DT4 but drafting a young DT is a must.  We don't need Cox at 31, Hargrave at 28 and Ridgeway at 28.  We need youth.

Boston Scott- Time to move on, bring in a young dynamic back.

Alex Singleton- Go back to CFL

Greg Ward- Hard worker, not worth a new contract, need to upgrade.

Avonte Maddox- He's played well this year.  Do any of the young CB look good enough to make him expendable?  As of now, no.  Bring him back.

Jason Croom- forgot he was on the team.  See ya

Genard Avery- Thanks for wasting the 4th Howie.  No need to bring him back.

Andre Chachere- One of the Eagles core ST players.  Need guys like him on the roster.  Was also first off the bench to replace Maddox yesterday.

TJ Edwards- Probably a step above a JAG but if he continues to play well the rest of the year, I wouldn't mind him back.  Provided they don't think he's the answer and look to upgrade.

Nate Herbig- Lots of hate for Herbig but he's an important reserve OL.  Starter in a pinch.

FA to target-

DE- Harold Landry.

S- Jessie Bates.

S- Xavier Woods

S- Terrell Edmunds

WR- Christian Kirk

WR- James Washington

WR- DJ Chark

WR-Equanimeous St. Brown

G- Will Hernandez.  (I know, division player but pairing him with Dickerson...ooh boy)

What would the cap hit be to franchise him?

It was 9.6 million for 2021

I expected losses, I did not expect the team to look so lost and rudderless.  Now... defend Howie for how he's built this roster that is so desperately in need of rebuilding.

How old are you, that is, have you ever experienced a rebuild before?

The last tie the Eagles had a real rebuild was the end of the Rhodes era and the first year with AR.

They had a few studs they had picked up via trade and FA (Douglas, Vincent, Taylor), a few draft picks, but basically built that team off drafts and signing Runyan.

And some of those drafts were "bad," and some players took a few years to develop:

1995:  Mamula #7, Taylor (50), Brooks (58), Jefferson (72), C Jones (78 - blew out his knee)

1996:  Mayberry (25), Dunn (54), Dawkins (61),

1997:  Harris (25), Darling (57), Staley (71), Kalu (152), Jasper (198)

1998:  Tra (11), Trotter (72), Rossum (85), Whiting (112) but traded out of the pick they could have taken Hines Ward, Reese (142)

1999:  McNabb (2), Gardner (35), Brzezinski (64), Welbourn (112), Moore (128), Martin (172), Weaver (208)

2000:  Simon (6), Pinkston (36), Williams (61)

13 starters in 6 years, the core of AR's teams that went to the NFC Championship game 4 straight years.

I'm guessing it's only a few of the Raiders that are real issues.  I guess my point was in an environment that has a fair few celebrities, acting like an entitled a-hole because you're in the NFL is even more ridiculous.

Edwards has upside but he’s just ok not great so far in his career. I think he likely sees an increase in targets going forward even with desean coming to the raiders. Probably helps open things up for him tbh. Yesterday they missed ruggs’ speed on the field. Giants basically didn’t respect they deep ball without ruggs there.

He's between a QB you win in spite of and a QB you can win with, in my opinion.

All of these players were also starters here.

Jason Dunn was a starting TE for a bit.  Didn't live up to the hype but still started

James Darling was solid OLB

ND Kalu was better in his 2nd stint but a solid rotation DE

Allen Rossum was a hell of a returner, too bad he played even better for GB

Barry Gardner, not a fan, but started at MLB

Doug Brzezinski was a solid starting G

Cecil Martin, starting FB.

Those drafts run circles around Howie's drafts.

He's also a QB to keep you in NFL purgatory.  They will never be in Lions territory because he can make plays with his legs, but they will never get over the hump because he is what he is.  If you want to be a mediocre football team, Hurts is the guy to have.

I feel like this sentiment needs to be quantified, though.  Win what with Hurts?  10 games to go 10-7?

What scheme?  Would the Eagles need to be a TEN Titans and find a Derrick Henry?

The Eagles need to evaluate Hurts' ceiling.  I don't see a lot of development from Weeks 1 through 13 at this point.

I think what he has said is that Hurts needs time to develop as a starter.  He thinks he has shown enough to warrant him being given 2 seasons.  I think the essence of what he is saying is that the Eagles are better off trying to develop Hurt than investing 3 first round picks in a QB this offseason.

He's the perfect short term backup QB, in reality.

I mean he did tie the game against the Chargers before Gannon's defense closed out the game letting the Chargers take 6 minutes off the clock.  I don't think this team wins that game with Gannon calling the defense.  The same could be said for the Raiders, Chiefs, Cowboys and Bucs games.  In any event, they couldn't be .500 because they played 9 games.
