How can you have a problem with that, given the growing pains this season combined with an every changing cast of OL.

What?

They have been pretty set along the OL this year.  Yes, there have been some shuffles... its NFL football, that happens to every team all the time.  The outlier is the one that doesn't have any shuffles.

This year has been very set along the OL.  It's been Mailata/Dillard at LT.  Seumalo/Dickerson at LG.  Kelce at C.  Brooks/Driscoll at RG.  Johnson/Mailata at RT.

And there's really only been about 3 different combinations for the vast majority of the year.  Yes, Herbig has played a few snaps as needed.  But, frankly, its not something that needs to be used to qualify the limitations on the offense.  On the contrary, the OL has actually been pretty good... the QB, on the other hand, not so much.

Yeah.  Philly guy

I'm extremely confused by this.

Hurts had what, 17 attempts and Burrow threw 2INT's(including a 100 yard pick 6)  zero TD's

And what does a QB have to do to get an A?  32 of 38 for 356 yards and 2 TDs is an A-?  Wow.

To be fair, those are pretty pedestrian numbers against our defense.

How cares how many yards Hurts passes for, those big passing yardage numbers generally reflect teams that can't run or play good defense. So they chuck and duck.

What matters is the OFFENSE, it doesn't matter HOW you move the ball and score, it's THAT you move the ball and score.

Eagles are now 11th in PPG (25.2), 12th in yards per play, 15th in net yards per pass, 5th in yards per rush. And they've played the tougher part of the schedule (QBs who controlled the game and kept the ball from the Eagles offense).

How can you have a problem with that, given the growing pains this season combined with an every changing cast of OL.

Houston with Watson in 2020, only scored 24.0 ppg, with an Pro bowl LT, a veteran 1,000 yard WR (Cook), Fuller and Cobb as the #2 and #3. Hard to claim the Eagles have better talent this season. Both teams had lousy defenses.

So what if Watson threw for 4800 yards?

What matters is scoring points and controlling the ball. If Hurts can lead an offense that can do that, then he's a starting caliber QB.

Yup those lions and falcons teams are clearly the ones we are gonna face in the playoffs. So averaging 38 ppg against them

against the current playoff teams we’ve faced 23.8 ppg. Wait let’s go a step further, eagles scored a meaningless Td in the Dallas game, garbage time td in the chiefs game, two garbage time tds in the raiders game (i didn’t even mention the Bucs game which you can tell they took their foot off the gas and just tried to get out of a Thursday night game without injury when up 28-7). So it’s now at 18.2ppg. Yup clearly the offense is good enough to win playoff games and not be stuck in purgatory where they put up yards and points against trash teams. I hope you like being stuck in purgatory with your meaningless stats that don’t account for garbage time stat padding . But I’m sure we will be able to roll through the nfc in future years with our QB averaging 15.5 throws per game like he has the last two weeks. That seems sustainable to winning at the highest level

if you honestly think hurts is as good as watson then i don’t know what to say. You are under the impression if watson was here playing QB the eagles ppg wouldn’t be higher than 11th? That’s as bad of a take as Big Ben not being a franchise QB even though he was a top 10 QB in the league for a decade and has the 5th most wins in nfl history (and potentially could get to 4th). Say whatever you want if we had a QB doing that he’d be praised. Mcnabb barely made it to a decade for us that’s our longest tenured QB in the last 25 years

Old news (?), but I was looking to see what WTF was doing with their QB situation.  FitzMagic is still on crutches 6 weeks after injurying his hip, so seems like it's gonna be the Heinecke show for the forseeable future.

If Joe Burrow is the worst of that group he might as well retire right now.

Burrow was bad last week. Really the last two weeks he’s hasn’t played well. However i think you are seeing why the bengals needed to address their oline heavy this offseason. Their line the last two weeks has been bad as well.

i thought fields was good in the 4th quarter but the rest of that game he was not good. Watching the Steelers the past couple weeks that defense seems to always have breakdowns in the 4th quarter or take their foot off the gas. They had the same issues against geno smith and bridgewater. Their last four games they’ve given up 8.3 points in the fourth. Prior to the 4th, they were only giving up 9 points on average the other 3 quarters.

Was down that way for meetings a couple weeks back and they truly think they have something in Heinecke.

He's just an average QB, probably a good backup. But as a starter that can lead you to a SB? I don't see it.

Going to really go out on a limb here, but I'm guessing it's because we get murdered and teams sleep the second half, specifically the fourth quarter.

No no no…. We make "adjustments” cause our offense is damn near a top 10 offense in the league….

Howie will be in the house for the Kenny Pickett show.

Hey teams should be playing for 60 minutes.  Not the Eagles fault that some teams "went to sleep" after halftime and let us get back in the game.

How often you see a team up at half 24-7 or something like that and you say the game is over.  Only for the team to come back and make it a tight game or straight up win.  Happens many times.  Shame on those teams for letting up and not playing a full 60.....supposedly.

Any explanation as to why DeVonta Smith has a big elbow brace on under his shirt?

I kinda feel like the one adjustment they were making earlier on in the season was either Sirianni or Hurts just saying "F it, do whatever you want" and Hurts play backyard football late in games. It always felt like just Hurts running or doing some type of scramble drill, not an actual play call.

8 points against the 49ers in the last 5 seconds... down 2 scores.   Completely meaningless.

Possible. I also think they just realized they didn’t have a QB that was capable of winning the game slinging it like they have Aaron rodgers or herbert or those types of QB.la. but they could still win games with him if they reduce the amount of throws and run the ball. Which our oline tend to excel at anyway. The problem is when you face a premiere QB that can sling it you might be forced to get out of running the ball and need your QB to make throws. The past two games the eagles haven’t been forced to get out of being able to run the ball.
