Because they are smarter than everyone else

8 points against the 49ers in the last 5 seconds... down 2 scores.   Completely meaningless.

Yeah there’s the Bucs game as well. There’s more i could’ve really went into. The Washington, giants and jets game is going to look like this offense is good. Meanwhile those teams are lousy. It’s basically the same thing with the defense has looked better against bottom dweller QBs. Besides Dak week 18 (who might not even play that week depending on situation), the rest of the QBs they are facing this year are average. Bridgewater or Daniel jones would be the two best QBs they face if Dak doesn’t play week 18

I’d agree but you do it until you get fired. That said also don’t know his buyout. Davis might not want to pay gruden and mayock for not working.

It’s a contract that the Browns signed. It goes the other way all the time against the players.

He also would have to take vet minimum to go where he wants. He’s losing money to do that.

Why not suspend him for conduct detrimental to the team?

Oh, I know.   It's amazing how much better the offense looks when the defense is willing to give away points and yards to let the clock run.

Or, he's doing his job, because he hasn't been fired and that's what he's supposed to do.  It's also a nice way to network with people.  Better question would be:  Why aren't more GMs going to a Thursday game?    No reason not to go and see him in person, talk to some people around the team, etc.  It's a Thursday night game.  Take advantage of it... even if it's just due diligence, or a chance to smokescreen.   Take a trip to Pittsburgh, catch a football game, and network, scout, smokescreen, etc.

They've learned through bitter experience exactly what the Giants learned -- wherever OBJ goes, that team will become worse.

If they suspend him he remains there being a headache.  Cut bait and get rid of the nuisance.

Which is why i said "but you do (your job) until you get fired” in the first sentence. My not working comment was about firing him and him not working but getting paid. Not sitting in his office not working.

Love how Reuben Frank and others say we still need so much more time to evaluate Hurts clearly, but also that we absolutely know Minshew isn't the answer. Hurts has started 13 games, Minshew has started 20. Are those 7 games that big of a difference?

I know.  I was building on your answer.... such a foolish question.   Of course, I didn't notice who had the question when I first responded to add on to your answer.

Minshew played in Jacksonville... nothing good comes from Jacksonville, apparently.   Just Harold Carmichael and Brian Dawkins.

Hurts is basically a rookie and Minshew is basically retired.

His dad posted the video. He didn’t. He showed up to practice. The browns sent him home. You really think the union would let them do that?

Reuben Frank only uses stats that benefits his case. Anytime he’s hit with facts and stats that counter he dismisses it like it doesn’t matter. Zangaro hit the nail on the head in his interview on 97.5 yesterday. I would listen to their podcast cause i like zangaro but Frank over the past 3 years has become worse with every passing year.

The amount of eagles fans on Twitter and Instagram that buy into this notion is truly amazing. Apparently when you get an entire year learning at the nfl level, training at the nfl level, coaching at the nfl level, playing 4.5 games and an entire offseason going into your second year knowing what to expect in the nfl you should still be considered a rookie.

Love the comments as well he’s played great the last two weeks. they made him a game manager/runner as they run the ball. Averaging 15.5 pass attempts is likely not getting you very close to winning a super bowl.

Every team has a chance to win if the defense can make the stop.

*if my high school team could stop tom brady they could of had a chance to win"

The eagles had 215 yards against Tampa, 129 of those yards were in last 17 minutes of the game when they trailed 28-7

The Eagles had 325 yards-ish against the 49ers(not as bad) but you guess it, 140 yards game in the last 8 minutes.

Eagles had 370 against the raiders...wait for it....161 of those yards came when they were trailing 30-7 with 12 mintues left.

I'd love to see the scoring break down too. I bet 75% of the eagles points came in the 4th quarter

No, not every game comes down to it being a one score game where the other team gets the ball back with 4-6 minutes left in the game needing the defense to make a stop so the offense can get the ball back with a chance to win the game.  That just simply isn't true.

The Eagles made it a 6 point game against the 49ers with a little over 4 minutes left in the game. Eagles offense didn't touch the ball again.  The Eagles made the Bucs game a 6 point game with just under 6 minutes left in the game.  Eagles offense didn't touch the ball again.

We saw this again this past weekend.  Eagles tie the game with a little over 6 minutes left in the game.  Eagles offense didn't touch the ball again.

Gruden had final say on his players, Arnette had character concerns going into the draft and wouldn’t have been drafted by a lot of teams, it doesn’t help his 40 time was 4.56 in Indy.   Raiders scouts said they clocked him at 4.43 in the same run.
I’m not sure about Ruggs, other than him not being able to run routes.

Who said Carson doesn't care about the Eagles?

Be careful on those social sites. I’ve been called racist for saying I don’t want Hurts as my QB. The irony is I was saying I would rather have Watson.
