Semi-serious post but I’m almost at the point in believing Hurts or someone close to him is paying off media to talk good about him. Listening to Caplan and Mosher and they randomly go into a segment about how in 2023 he can be a really good QB in a place like Seattle and make a deep playoff run or he could become a QB like Kirk Cousins. Also according to Caplan all he needs is an offseason to focus on mechanics to become really good, which brings me to question what the hell was he doing all this offseason? Also why would one more year be a dramatic difference? Outside of Chris Simms it feels like the excuse making is everywhere.

I think it's because he has been "just exciting enough" to make people to use "let's give it one more year" thinking.  He runs around in circles, does a flip, then throws the best pass of his lifetime. Boom! Opinions change instantly. That's always been the fear with Howie, too.  In your example, the easily manipulated talking heads are seeing one thing and the player is seeing something else.

It also doesn't help when his QB play isn't the biggest issue (like most weeks) in the loss. Last week, we had Gannon and the defense interfere with that perception, even though Hurts was largely mediocre alongside them.  It's a winnable game if either party played better.

Here come a couple of good defenses.  The talk will likely be different after.

Reagor is fast, but he doesn't run good routes. That's the problem.

Yup, he's simply not a good receiver. Who cares how fast he can run, this isn't track.

Ehhh wrong. Thats not how the law works. Nice try though.

Out of all the 4 poeple involved he was the only one who went there with good intentions. He is a better person than I am, cause I would not willingly put myself in harms way to help people like he did.

All I'll say is that's what he claims anyways. I'm not for him or against him. If the truth is he went there with good intentions and had to defend himself than I hope he goes free. If he went there looking for a reason to kill people I hope he gets murder 1. Either way people are not going to be satisfied and there will be a bit of unrest afterwards would be my guess

I hope Seattle takes the bait

Good morning everyone. Just a reminder that the best QB in Eagles’ history is sitting on the bench in Chicago while we have some scrub who got benched in a college championship game for sucking.

Rape is about as serious as an accusation as you can make against a man and I'm not defending Anderson at all here.  I'm thinking there are so many questions that need to be asked and answered before saying Anderson is guilty.  All we know from the charges is that the woman went to Anderson's house after going out for drinks and was there from after midnight until 7am.  She woke up with Anderson having sex with her.  I know nothing about Anderson as a human.  No idea if he's and upstanding citizen with a clean history or if he's ever been questioned before in anything.

Questions that come up right away:

-Was this her first time going his house?

-What was the conversation before she went to his house?  What is their texting/picture history (silly we have to ask but it's society now)

-Did the woman go to the house and pass out on a bed by herself or did she fall asleep in Andersons bed?

-Do they woman and Anderson have sexual history together?  Have they hooked up before?

-Did they mess around and do stuff before going to bed which made Anderson think morning sex was acceptable/on the table?       How many men here have "woken up" their GF/wife?

-Did she wake up and ask him to stop only to be followed by Anderson continuing?

Again, not defending Anderson if actions are true but a lot of questions certainly need to be answered.  Men need to think 10 steps down the road before having sex with a woman these days, NO MATTER how mixed or confusing the signals could be.  Anderson may well have thought it was OK based on their history.

For the Mailata got paid too early crowd, Cleveland just gave 30-year-old left guard Joel Bitonio (a really good player) a three-year $48M extension.

He’s getting $16M at LG while Mailata gets $16M a year for four years at a far more valuable position.

That crowd was wrong from the get-go.

Probably know Hurts will start crying racism if people really analyze his play

I've seen nothing from his history or even how he conducts himself to suggest such a thing. Other might suggest it, but I don't think that he will, unless of course you know something I don't.

Agree with greend.  I am not a fan of crying wolf about someone crying racism.    If he does (or others), deal with it then, but it is never a good idea to anticipate something like that.

Hurts' play should be measured by the standard of the game and should not be judged more harshly or less harshly due to his 'race'.  His passing skills aren't good enough.  That's not a racist assessment of him, but an evaluation of his current skill set.

I'd love to know who that illustrious group was.

Go back to when he signed. A bunch of people said he got paid too much and hadn’t earned the contract yet. E45 has a post every couple of weeks that we lost money on the Mailata deal and we should have waited.

There’s a lot to unpack in this post. Yikes.

If anyone watched the trial, all the testimony, and all the video evidence shows without a doubt he was helping, and was attacked for doing so. Clear cut and dry case of self defense.

You can certainly question whether it was smart of him to go and offer help, it probably wasn't the smartest idea, but the intentions and most importantly his actions, caught on video and given by testimony was he was there to help.

So protesting is "bad intentions” but traveling out of state, illegally possessing a fire arm and acting as a vigilante is "good intentions "?  He may have gone to protect a specific property, doubtful, but the shootings occurred in the middle of the street and not near the alleged protected property.

Proof you did not watch the trail.  Testimony and video evidence, shows that he was there to help.

Back to the Rittenhouse trial and now what is or what isn't considered Rape.......

JFC.  This day is off to a great start in here.

I'm not questioning what is or isn't rape.  I'm questioning the whole story.

The Dalvin Cook story has images, texts and a lot of information to be used against Dalvin Cook.

The accuser in the Anderson case went over to his house after midnight, after drinking all night.  All the story says is that she woke up with Anderson having sex with her.

I just think there is more to the story that needs to be known.

There was a lot of racism in the McNabb discussion, when he wasn't performing in playoff games. A lot of "he can't read defenses", which wasn't true. He was inaccurate, but not dumb.

With Hurts, IMO this isn't an issue. Teammates and fans love him. We just want him to be a better passer.

I don’t think fans love Hurts.

Fair enough, I haven't watched the trial and I have no rooting interest other than the truth, which doesn't seem to matter to either side anymore.

Sad but true.

The unknown with Cox is his personal motivation.  A team trading for him won't know if he perks up after a trade or will be what we have today.
