That’s why i put it a 21% of his stats have come when the eagles have been down (17+) 3 possessions or more (didn’t even include the Bucs game in that as they came back to make it respectable at the end it’s 25% if you include it). And it’s not just hurts why they are down that but he isn’t a victim with no blame

He’s a big reason we go down. The offense never gets any momentum for the team until it’s too late.

I don’t disagree. It’s why i mentioned kirk cousins a couple posts back. He always has good stats. Last year he was top 8 in yards, passing tds and QB rating. However if you watch those games against bad teams he feasts. Then against good teams he a good majority of the time is stat padding at the end of the game or when the game is basically decided and teams go into who gives a crap if they get yards here. We all know cousins isn’t great but if we are just going the generic no context stats his numbers were of a top 10 QB last year and in previous season. Stats why inflated stats are BS way of evaluating.

Cam Newton going to the Panthers for vet minmum?  Ok, I get it

Cam Newton going to the Panthers for up to 10m

For anyone following the trial, today was a pretty big reason to not let your defendant testify. Yikes. Prosecution was able to make their strongest case yet.

What trial?

When 25% of you stats are in the 4th quarter, when the game is over and the opponent is playing prevent defense, it is hard to put a lot of weight into them.

I mean, if you sort his stats, in order on any site, he is right next to Taylor Heinecke

Let's do the math.  There have been 9 games played, so 36 quarters played.  The Eagles have been out of it with no way to win the game in only 2 of those games, so 2 of those quarters.  So that's 5.5% of his stats that came in garbage time.  Let's say you want to throw the last TD in the Chiefs game in there and let's attribute that drive to a quarter of that final quarter.  That's only 6.25% of his stats coming in garbage time.

Rittenhouse

Forgot that was going on

So tired of the Total Yards bs for Hurts

What's the BS?  His legs and his ability to pick up yards and first downs with his legs is a valuable ability and clearly one that this ownership has shown to place a high priority on over the past 2+ decades.

I watched a dateline last night where they did. He got off cause they coached him up really well to make the jurors feel sympathy for him while he talked. It really saddened me cause he got off and it was obvious he did it.

I probably should keep this to myself to avoid starting some ish in the blog. But I feel no sympathy for him. He had no business being there & his parents are mainly to blame for letting him be there.

I don’t feeling one way or the other. I just was talking about another case where the attorneys prepped him well enough to play with the jurors emotions and the evidence was pretty stacked against him. Had a juror talk after saying as much.

It's definitely a risk/reward. Really depends on how the case is going and how well the State presented their case. I can see it being a hail mary of sorts. I think in the Rittenhouse case it was a bad idea. He testified he never aimed his gun at anyone besides the times he shot. State in their rebuttal were able to get into evidence a zoomed in image of him holding the gun with both hands aiming it at people before anyone started chasing him. His lawyers reaction to the ruling says it all.

I honestly haven’t been paying attention to that trial at all. But if you are putting your client on the stand you better prep him super well that he knows everything coming and make him look sympathetic to the jurors. Cause if you don’t then it’s going to explode in their face

It's been pretty interesting. And they have the ultimate boomer Judge who they have to explain what a smart phone and zooming on it is. He even called "Pixels" "Pickles" at one point.

Sounds like the judge needs his own show called the boomer trials

He’s also like…17/18? Hard to be in that position, but he should be. He’s alive.

You’d be surprised what today’s 17-18 years can do and be taught to do if prepped properly.

Yeah, maybe there should be limits on judges as well. I know he isn’t going to know everything, but not knowing what a cropped image/video is? That’s a bit much.

Hoping he brings some of what the rays do well to the Phillies. Would be awesome

Yup, I was thinking the same, this judge has been on the bench for a minute now, and while one can say he has a lot of experience one could also say he's past his prime.

Your man crush Howie does not like him either.  Eagles have been connected to Watson this year, Wilson and Rodgers next year.  Rumors about trading up to get Zach Wilson, and now Howie is going to scout 2022 QB's in person.

Uh, he's a GM. He's supposed to keep tabs on potential draft picks. If he didn't, he wouldn't be doing his due diligence.

Not just for the Eagles, but to gauge their value to other teams (for trade purposes), and to throw other GMs off the track.

Howie shouldn't be calling people, because if he talks to another GM, it must mean there are serious trade talks.

Reality check, GM talk to each other all the time, while reporters create rumors out of thin air all the time.

Well obviously.  But it’s not gonna be a game.

Oh, I didn't say I was going to watch it, but I do have an interest.  I don't watch Thursday games on principle.

All I know is there will be a bunch of pissed off A-holes on here when the kid goes free and I will be smiling my ass off 🙂
