Hoping he brings some of what the rays do well to the Phillies. Would be awesome

Dombro waited a year to evaluate both prospects and personnel, now he's reshaping the organization. About time.

I hate everything LA but if it helps prevents Dallas from winning anything then I’m ok with that more than having to live with cowboys fan being happy.

No winking for Dallas.  I agree.

Imagine some of the pillars of the NFL (Sorry, not you AFan) but guys who built this league, think Vince Lombardi, Gale Sayers, Chuck Bednarick, Ray Nitchske to name a few, coming back to watch the NFL of today....and these are the guys they see.

Bednarick was at Training camp back in the day on WIP.  As the players came out, he said something along the lines of, "Here come the millionaires."

A quick breakdown:

Jalen Hurts has 1,981 passing yards and 494 rushing yards for a total of 2,475 yards. He has thrown for 11 touchdowns and ran 5 touchdowns in.

Of those numbers - 582 passing yards (29.3% of total), 140 rushing yards (28.3%) and 8 touchdowns (50% of total) come in the fourth quarter.

Roughly 30% of his total yards and 50% of his touchdowns scored come in the fourth quarter.

It's no coincidence that on top of that, his completion percentage, yards/attempt, QB rating, etc are at their highest in the fourth quarter.

Additionally, he has a 55% completion percentage and a 73.5 QB rating when the game is within 7 points. When the Eagles are down two or more scores? Near a 70% completion percentage and a 102.1 QB rating.

Wake up.

I’d add the eagles have been down two scores or more in the fourth quarter in 5 of their 8 games. Yay us!

It's been pretty interesting. And they have the ultimate boomer Judge who they have to explain what a smart phone and zooming on it is. He even called "Pixels" "Pickles" at one point.

Great job.  You made me want pickles.  I thought I had some gherkins in the fridge.  Turns out I didn't.  But, I remembered my parents got me some Pickles from Lancaster County for my birthday.  (They really know how to spoil me in my old age.)

What's the BS?  His legs and his ability to pick up yards and first downs with his legs is a valuable ability and clearly one that this ownership has shown to place a high priority on over the past 2+ decades.

Bc its meant to mislead. Its a way to fluff his poor passing and bias the data with his running yards. Its how you mislead the analysis of a poor performer.

8 hours in with my Pfizer booster and no apparent issues from the shot.

It's fun to watch people try to dump all over Hurts, but defend all the high 1st rd picks that are struggling.

Sure, he has garbage yards, I'll bet every young QB on a losing team has lots of garbage yards, because you're behind a lot going into the 4th Q, but the HC isn't going to run out the clock and surrender with 15-20 minutes left in the game, so you end up throwing a bunch of passes against softer defenses..

The question is whether he can improve, the last two weeks he looked much more comfortable, running a more conservative scheme. Frankly, Siri left him out to dry earlier in the season, trying to run a college type passing game behind a shaky pass blocking OL. Siri may have felt Hurts would be more comfortable in that kind of scheme, but I think he misread his QB. That's a great way to cultivate "happy feet" in a young QB.

Now they won't run as much going forward (for one thing, they'll face better run defenses that will sell out on the run on early downs), but they'll run a lot more than early in the season, and probably cut out a lot of the RPO type stuff, and hopefully those WR screens. And if you establish the run on a regular basis, play action is a lot more effective. Meanwhile, the OL is jelling, though it is much better as a run blocking than a pass blocking group right now.

So we'll get a much better idea by the end of the season with regard to Hurt's ability to play QB.

Why do people rush to judgement?  Don't know. Maybe they think they look smarter? Maybe they have the patience of a 10 year old? Maybe they just like trashing players.

He's 74 or 75 so he's about as old as you can get.  If there's a mandatory retirement age he has to be close to it.

So if you are a woke Eagles' fan, you are trying to cancel Hurts.

And the Super Bowl was won with a traditional running game and QB who was timed in the 40 with a sun dial.  Trouble is they conduct the combine in a dome.

If the kid gets off scot free, it's going to encourage idiots on both sides of the political spectrum to come to rallies armed to the teeth, and sooner or later there will be a bloodbath.

Hey, as long as I claim self-defense I can open fire, well, that works for both sides.

I mean if there are a lot of guys running around with guns and screaming epithets at each other, one can credibly claim fear for one's life.

Of course, somehow I suspect that won't work as well for a black defendant in front of a white jury, even if he had a legitimate claim.

Yeah, I bailed on reading this early to talk crap. Suck it.

Uh, he's a GM. He's supposed to keep tabs on potential draft picks. If he didn't, he wouldn't be doing his due diligence.

Not just for the Eagles, but to gauge their value to other teams (for trade purposes), and to throw other GMs off the track.

Howie shouldn't be calling people, because if he talks to another GM, it must mean there are serious trade talks.

Reality check, GM talk to each other all the time, while reporters create rumors out of thin air all the time.

That is a job for a football guy, that is a job for a scout, not a spreadsheet geek impersonating a football guy.

The real question is whether Sirianni believes Hurts is a fit for the scheme he wants to run.  The Eagles have more of an investment in this young coaching staff than they do in a second year, 2nd round draft pick — regardless if he’s a QB or not.  It’s in the best interest of all concerned that Hurts succeeds, because he’s playing for dirt-cheap salary the next 2 years after this one

Sirianni has tried Hurts in a pass-heavy scheme and has now adjusted to a run-heavy scheme, at the far ends of each side of the spectrum.  Can Head Coach and QB find a happy medium and get synchronized?  There are 8 games left to find out.

Salary aside, if Sirianni and Hurts aren’t on the same page at the end of this season Hurts won’t have the starting job next season.

Nothing I like more than the guy who keeps mentioning high first round rookies and no one else mentions them when talking about Jalen hurts. Then makes it a point to compare rookie quarterbacks to a second year quarterback like we are the ones doing it. when he is the person that keeps bringing it up when no one else is doing it.

And then we get the hilarious that we all think we’re the smartest person in the room.  Meanwhile he states the rules that we all must abide by when watching a quarterback and nothing else matters cause he stated so. And then will change it later on because it doesn’t fit his narrative anymore. And I forgot he’s also writing the New Testament of the NFL every time he has an epiphany which usually contradicts with the previous epiphany he had when writing the Old Testament of the NFL
