Parker being atop of the list doesn’t surprise me. He really is one of those guys you have to have a QB like Fitzpatrick that’s like f it just throw it up and he’ll get it due to his size. His 2019 season was his best season when fitz would do that. Playing the eagles also helped.

Howie Roseman isn't someone stuck in the fire.  He is someone who made the fire.  He is Littlefinger.

Are we comparing the eagles roster to the jags? Lawrence hasn’t been very good and he needs to be better to live up to the expectations placed upon him. He’s had his own nightmare games

we complain the eagles roster is not good and they are below average in terms of talent. Besides the lions, the jaguars might have the worst collection of talent in the league and one of the worst coaches in the league. I’d argue Driscoll and dillard who are backups here are better than 3 starting olineman on that roster. Shatley, cam robinson and Bartch are starters for the jags. The highest grade of those 3 on pff is bartch. At 66.9 which is the same as Driscoll. Our worse graded olineman by pff is Dickerson at 61. Which i would argue still would be the jags third best lineman.

Eagles roster is mostly jags so why not.

Am I reading this wrong or does that say the Saints are gonna have -$60 something million in cap space before restructures? Sheesh.

Thinking about putting 1000$ on prop bet that Dallas Goedert will score first TD of game on Sunday. It’s +1300

Yeah they’re projected in the -$50 million range on OTC.

When are we going to move some of next years salary to this year? Don’t we have like 20+ million? Or doesn’t it work like that

What’s Noah fant’s odds?

Eagles love to give up TDs to TEs. 7 so far this year. Somehow shut down Kelce and Kittle though.

That graph basically takes that into account, as well as signing the rookie draft class. It's misleading for the Eagles for a couple of reasons. For one, the team will need to allocate a lot to the rookie class due to the three first round picks. Right now that number is around $12 million, and has to be the number used in the chart. Secondly, it doesn't include impending free agents and number of players under contract.

@LeanMeanGM

Broncos 23, Eagles 16.  The Eagles allow Bridgewater to only complete 79% of his passes and Sirianni says it is a 1% improvement.  We actually force two punts this game.  This is really bold...Barnett won't commit a penalty.

True but i looked at the odds. Fant is getting the same odds as goedert. I think i trust fant vs. our defense more than goedert vs. Denver. Sutton at +1200 and tim Patrick is +1400. I think Patrick is interesting. maddox is dealing with an injury and Patrick moves around gets into slot and leads the broncos in receiving tds.

Third is too early for Pickett IMO. If you watched the game closely last night, any time he really had to drive the ball like an NFL QB (before the rain storm), it wasn't really a pretty result. His ceiling is Teddy Bridgewater, but more likely he's a 10 year backup.

So you're telling me Howie uses the latest first rounder we have on Pickett. Let's face it, this upper level management group sucks and always seem to make the worst and obviously wrong choices nearly every step. Pickett has first rounder written all over it for this regime.

Those numbers seem off , Godwin catches every catchable ball , and the HC says Evans sees all kinds of dbl teams

Of all the ways to make a clear chart, this is not a good example but I think you're right.

He gave a list of QBs on winning teams and claimed, without actually checking, that they didn't have a lot of garbage stats (of course, if you're winning in the 4th Q, you're probably running out the clock and the defense is selling out to stop the run, so you'll throw few passes but should have a great QB rating).

My point is the proper comparison on garbage stats was other QBs on losing teams. Who actually play in garbage time.

As I've said before, reading comprehension is a lost art with a generation of twitter heads who can't write a stinkin' paragraph.

People wanted Howie to rebuild after 2019, so he's a year late, but manages to pick up Smith, Dickerson, Williams and Miami's 1st to speed the rebuild.

Then the season starts, people whine the Eagles don't look like a playoff team. Duh?

However, reality is always more complex - take that much maligned defense, gave up 200+ yards to Brady, Dak, Mahomes, Carr, Herbert, held Ryan, Goff and Garopollo in check.

Last season they were 20th in points allowed, this season 21st in points allowed per game.

Last season, gave up 200+ yards to Goff (LA), Burrow, Mullens/Breathard, Big Ben, D Jones once, Wilson, Rodgers, Hill, Murray, Dalton, held Haskins, L Jackson, D Jones, DiNucci, Mayfield, A Smith to under 200 yards. 10 of 16.

So one thing we can conclude, the pass defense isn't really worse, they just had a lucky string of bad opposing QBs disguising how bad they were last season.

Yes, the defense gives up a high completion rate 75.5%, but they're 20th in net yards per attempt and 14th in adjusted yards per attempt. 24th in sack %, 18th in QB hits.

Last season, 68.7% completion rate (27th), 20th in net yards per attempt and 10th in adjusted yards per attempt. 3rd in sack %, 4th in QB hits.

Changes on defense:

Graham injured, Maddox et al replaced by Nelson, Singleton phased out for Taylor, Riley for Avery, Mills replaced by Harris, Curry by Williams.

So overall, Gannon has even less to work with than Schwartz last season.

I don't get the methodology. Harmon's reception perception has very different conclusions.

Nice stats.  The reality is that Howie has not shown success in drafting defense and in fact has ignored it.  This year, it is held together by one year bandaids.  4/5ths of the secondary is gone.  (Free agents: McLeod, Harris, Maddox, Nelson). Perhaps 3 out of the four LBs getting time now (Free agents: Edwards, Avery, Singleton);and 4/5 if we count Wilson, who was a starter, benched and cut. On the DL, 1/4 of the starters, with maybe a second retiring or at least questionable after injury Free agent: Barnett, injury:Graham) and 2/4s of the rotation (Free Agents: Ridgeway, Kerrigan). He drafted six defensive players this past draft, Williams, who has seen some success, McPhearson, who seems to be the #4 CB, Jackson, who is the lowest end of the DE rotation, Marlon T, got to wonder why over two of the CBs he traded for, Stevens, stuck on the PS, and Patrick, whose snaps decrease every week.  Now, I recognize these are mostly low draft choices with learning curves but it is his draft history this year.   Last year we got Taylor and Bradley at LB.  Taylor is a work in progress.  If the rest of the D was performing, we would be complaining about his misses. Bradley apparently barely made the team. Wallace, at S is a huge question.  Last week, Chachere replaced Maddox at nickel.  While Scott, the CB that Howie traded for who is also a nickel was inactive, Wallace was active.  At Clemson, Wallace played some nickel and that area seems his best, yet Gannon went with Chachere.  Add to that, in 2023, Hargrave, likely Cox, quite possibly Slay and, if he is not gone next year, Graham are all likely gone.  Cupboard is worse than bare

I don’t know what about this situation or the picks that makes anyone think this is a speed to rebuild situation.
