NCAA really needs to do away with the targeting call or at least change the consequences.  Disqualifying players is just silly and you can argue that 75% of targeting calls are such bang bang plays that they are nearly impossible to avoid.

There should be 2 different types of targeting.  If it's obvious and meant to injure a player then it's a targeting 1 and they're immediately disqualified.

If it's bang-bang and not intentional then it's a targeting 2 and a warning.  If the player gets a 2nd targeting during the game, then he's gone.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles - 26

Broncos - 24

Bonus: Hurts completes more passes to the left than the right.

This is not a fine but the guy who looked at a sideline and then got hip checked by Correntte was a fine. Makes sense.

Grabbing his leg shouldn't have been a fine.  Not sure why some people think it was dirty.

Yea, something along those lines for sure.  It's so clear on the majority that there was no intent.  If there's intent, then sure kick a guy out.  If it's clear that a guy just can't contort his body in a way to avoid it, give him the PF and let him keep playing.

He literally grabbed his leg and twisted it. If roles were reversed it would have been a fine easily

Even an NFL stooge isn't happy with the Marsh fine

No fair league.

More and more my interest in the NFL is waning.  It really won't take much more to make me completely apathetic and might turn me into a guy who watches sometimes and misses games other times without even noticing.  I haven't missed an Eagles game since I was old enough to have a choice... somewhere around 1987 or so where I figured out how to program a VCR and got my parents' permission to use a blank tape for the game.

I'm in the situation with football over here. Enjoy my teams games, but I've lost interest in it as a sport.  It's become waaaaay too politicised and it's not the sport that I fell in love with as a kid.  England played last night and I completely forgot it was on - I have better things to do with my time.

CJ Stroud looks like the real deal, but I don't see Howie waiting for him till 2023.

I don't think Howie is going to wait at all. He knows if he takes a QB this year that buys him another year or two to build up to the next pathetic excuse.

How is Rodgers being allowed to play this Sunday?  Disgraceful

Yup, it's either Pickett/Ridder/Carrol in the 1st or a trade anything and everything package for Wilson.

@LeanMeanGM  Broncos 32 Eagles 29

BONUS: Bridgewater completes 75% or more of his pass attempts.

😄

Sadly, I'm there.  I barely watch any NFL games outside of the Eagles.  I don't even mind if I miss Eagles games now.  Used to be I wouldn't miss a snap, would watch every minute of pregame shows, all the games and then post game shows.  I would never consider plans even with a girl I was dating.  Sunday was all about NFL football.

I travel a bit for work (much more pre-Covid) and I would miss a game on occasion but usually could find a bar to watch some of the game with travel friends.  Don't think twice now if something comes up that might be fun.

So many factors come in to play as to my interest being low but what sucks is I don't even care.  The NFL I love is no more and it's never coming back.  Hell, the sport of football I love is no more.
