It was brought to my attention last week that Jordan Davis will be 27 when the season comes along.  Hard pass on that in the first round

You believe that - he played HS ball in 2017.

For the Lions?  Those guys are "beer" drinkers:

I wonder if Gannon would have an interest in DeMarvion Overshown from Texas as a LB prospect.  6'4, 223, plenty fast -- converted safety who might be useful as a hybrid S/LB.  Much better athlete than the converted safety Nate Gerry.

Interesting what you can find on the internet.  I was waiting for the cable guy to join him

Nah... it looked like Reagor was that kid trying to hang with the cool kids and was just out of place.

Maybe but it's possible that he's invested in getting better.  Smith is undoubtedly a good influence if he wants to work on his game.

It is.  Smith has to tell Reagor to step back so he can see the ball and he does, only to fade back in the way.  Lack of attention in Reagor doesn’t surprise me.  Fact that Slay can use route running moves and that Smith can cover isn’t a surprise.  That kind of discipline to their craft, yet Reagor can’t show the discipline as to where to stand.

I don't think we know what kind of efforts he is making to improve his game.   Sirianni has to put the best players on the field. Sure getting players to learn and motivating them is part of his job but sitting a more talented player because there is a less talented replacement that tries harder only makes sense when the try hard makes the team better.  Reagor isn't hurting the team.  As far as I can see, he was running routes hard most of the game.  He blocked a guy to the ground on a run.  He made a nice catch on a comeback route.  He is fielding punts and looks competent on the returns.  If he was looking bad at the things he should do well, then I would say he is hurting the team.  Starting Ward takes talent off the field and it's not likely to fix Reagor.

Hoping that we get lucky enough to find a trade partner to exchange one of our firsts for a later first in 22 and another first in 23.

Both drafts should be stocked.

Well woke up today with a different feeling about Hurts. Now I’ve been just as critical as anyone but I looked at the numbers and the situation he’s in and came away thinking maybe he can be a good QB in this league.

He is on pace for:

3670 yards passing

22 passing TDs

8 INTs

929 rushing yards

8 rushing TDs.

10 Fumbles

5 Fumbles lost.

Not overly great numbers but pretty solid given the situation having a new coaching staff and only 14 starts. Sure he’s not totally there but there is some positives to build on.

The first game that to me, Hurts looked like an NFL quarterback. Let's see how he does going forward.

Dickerson and Mailata don't just move people, they flat out demolish defenders.

These two are going to fun to watch for years to come.

BPA all the way. We're rebuilding, not trying to fill one or two holes for a SB run.

Brooks is only 32, his injury this year is unrelated to his achilles, just bad luck.

He missed 6 games in 7 seasons before the last two years.

Given the history of elite guards, he could have 3 top seasons left in him.

If I had a nickel for every time you've used that excuse for all the bad transactions Howie has made over the past 3 years, I could likely retire now.

If he has 3 elite years left, I'm sure he could fetch something in trade.  No need for this team to keep going to the injured aging OL well again... been there, done that.  And since this is part of a rebuild... time to move on from the aging, expensive vets and get younger, cheaper and healthier... getting a draft pick back in addition would be the icing on the cake.

Maybe it is.  Of course, we haven't seen much fruit of that on the field yet.

If we are in a rebuild then let Driscoll play at RG and allow him to develop and improve. Love brooks but he’s costly, older and injury prone. Move on and let the young kids play and develop. Brooks might have 3 good years left but his body is beginning to fail him and break down and since we are rebuild you might as well give the snaps to Driscoll who’s likely here for the long haul.

Best play...Lane and Kelce pulling from the right along with the combo down-block by Mailata and Stohl from the left.  Stohl then releases onto #41.  Amazing concept from Stoutland.

All three picks could be 15+ so I'm not sure they'd get a first next year.

Love to see them let the kids play and develop but They are going for that 8 seed so a good team can curb stomp them.

Look, I'd love for them to have 3 top 10 pics, would be great....but you do not try to lose.  Play hard, learn to win and let the chips fall where they lie.   God knows, look at the Sixers.....they tanked for years and what did they get for all that effort?

I have no idea at this point.  His bio on FoxSports.com is the only place that has his age listed.  The interview with his mom just says she knows when she gave birth.  Probably not 26, but that's all we have out there right now.  Just trying to figure out how old the dude is.

Said this last night as much as i would love a high draft pick, i would also love to see how far we’ve come from Dallas week 3 to Dallas week 18. If the eagles have a playoff berth on the line and Dallas has a shot at HFA it’s going to tell us a lot about how far we’ve come and where we are at. If we get smoked again like week 3 then i feel like we might be in purgatory where you are good enough to beat the bad teams but not close to being good. Meanwhile if you are competitive in that game and even if you don’t win ( and i hate moral victories) it at least shows we’re on the right track coaching wise and just talent deficient.

Eagles beat the Saints this weekend and they are the 6 seed right? Wild.

Edit: Panthers would need to lose for Eagles to be 7th seed. Saints would still be ahead at 5-5.

Agree on all points. I commented on him a month or so ago. He can’t fire out, he’s ponderous, and he has absolutely no lateral agility. No agility at all. In fact. Hard pass even as an undrafted free agent. I don’t think even Stoutland can do anything with him.

I respect your views on OL players, JR.  I know this is an area you like to focus on and study.  Your views are much different than the scouting reports about him.  They paint him in more of a good light and make him sound like a player with upside.  I wonder if sometimes these 'scouts' for these sites embellish some of their reports because it's better for clicks and hits or it helps their relationships with agents and getting info.  I don't have either the time nor the interest to watch much more than the teams I support so that leaves me with going by what I read up on.  I can appreciate that your conclusions about Faalele are very different from an online scouting report.

I think Carolina has to lose. Cause the saints would be 5-5 and if Carolina won would be 6-5.

Yeah just edited my post. Wild either way that playoffs are a legit possibility. Not sure how to feel about it.
