There you go.

Was worried he'd see fewer targets after the pick 6.

Life is good!

In honor of the lions tying the game yesterday, Stafford has decided to play tonight’s game as if he were still a lion.

C'mon football gods, please grant Tyler Higbee 42 yards or a TD.

Don't smite me for benching Devonta Smith.

It will never happen again!

Now just need an odb touchdown

Kyle Shanahan is a bad HC. Not taking timeouts there. Yuck.

Fake field goal completely failed there

That trick play was doo doo from the snap.

Not every team is the same. The 49ers don't have the offense to run a smooth 2 minute drill. Taking his timeouts just to run a crappy 2-min drill and give the Rams another opportunity to score when you're looking at going up 21-10 doesn't make sense. Go into the half up two possessions, run the ball in the 2nd half, burn the clock.

That’s fraidy cat coaching. Not a fan.

You can call it that. I'll call it playing to your strengths.

Love when this guy does his Sirianni impression.

I respect your views on OL players, JR.  I know this is an area you like to focus on and study.  Your views are much different than the scouting reports about him.  They paint him in more of a good light and make him sound like a player with upside.  I wonder if sometimes these 'scouts' for these sites embellish some of their reports because it's better for clicks and hits or it helps their relationships with agents and getting info.  I don't have either the time nor the interest to watch much more than the teams I support so that leaves me with going by what I read up on.  I can appreciate that your conclusions about Faalele are very different from an online scouting report.

I appreciate your kind words, so thank you. I don't pretend to be nearly as good as any pro scout. The on-line sites, though, are another matter.

I have a few things I look for: knee bend, balance, and good feet. Strength is nice, but can be developed. Faaelele is enormously strong but he lacks, in my view, the first three things I look for. Most of the guys he has gone against in college do one thing - bull rush. They're giving away 100 pounds and they're attacking his strength, not his weaknesses. They don't really have moves, much less counters. So, he looks better than he is.

A few words about those three things I look for. Knee bend is the first and by far most important for an OL. If you bend at the waist rather than the knees, you have no power. You can't fire out. If a guy is not within arm's length of you at the snap he might as well be on the moon; you'll never block him. Your power and explosion come from your knees; if they're straight you have neither.

You also don't have balance. Oh, you're fine if you don't have to move, or reach, but if you have to move or reach your weight will not be supported by your legs, driven by your knees. You'll be "over your skis" and can be pulled or pushed depending on where your imbalance lies. I saw a clip where Faelele reached for a DE and the guy grabbed him by the neck of his jersey and just pulled him through, like he was a baby. The guy probably weighed no more than 240 and he made a fool of Faelele.

With the lack of knee bend and the lack of balance, it's almost impossible to move your feet. You have to rock your entire body to do it. Waddle like a duck. Ugh. Players with good feet almost look like they're on skates because the feet never seem to leave the ground; they just seem to slide. With good feet you can recover quickly against counters because you're always ready to plant those sliding feet.

In my limited views of Faelele I didn't see the three things I always look for, so I don't like him. The pro scouts, OTOH, have seen hours and hours of his reps and watched him work out. They know way more than I. If they like him they're almost certainly right. Of course, the guys who do those on-line sites don't watch that much more than I do, plus, they have to come up with stuff on hundreds of players while I only look at a few.

It’s coaching scared. That’s what it is. It’s not like Mitchell, Kittle, Deebo and Aiyuk aren’t explosive enough to turn safe plays into big ones.

This has been a problem for Shanahan for a long time.

Jimmy Garoppolo will do that.

Did he throw an incompletion in the first half?

That doesn't mean he was going to finish the first half without one. We saw their first possession of the second half.

You can make a fine argument for using your timeouts there and trying to score before the 1st half. I agree with it 90% of the time. I don't have a problem with not using them. You'd have little time and hardly any timeouts for a Garoppolo 2 minute drill. Maybe it's coaching a little scared, but you have weigh the cons sometimes too.

Of course. You can call relatively safe plays while trying to score — even with bad QBs.

Look out for that mack truck Leonard Floyd.

Yikes.

I wonder how many white claws are consumed daily by that crew of "let’s go” Bros.

Not saying he sounds like him at all.  Just like how he digs at the same things we do on here....the blooming flower, the city/country fumble and the Philly sports pandering.

Yeah.  I still haven’t heard the city/country fumble quote.  WTF does that even mean?

If you’re around a bunch of people, fall on the ball. If you’re in a wide open space, scoop it.

He kept slipping into some weird Minnesotan accent trying to sound Philly I guess

Rams look like dogish
