We'll see. Sirianni said today "If Sanders is healthy, he's the starter"

I was surprised but I guess I shouldn't have been when one of the reporters brought up players losing their job because of injury

What could have been, sucks he got hurt

Eagles 27, Saints 21

Saints have been the ultimate Jekyll and Hyde team this season -- wins over the Bucs, SEA, beat GB by 35 points -- and losses to CAR, the Giants, ATL.  They have a Thursday night game at home against BUF 4 days after the Eagles game; I think they'll be looking past the Eagles and it'll bite them.

They allowed Hurts to run for 100+ yards last season.  Bold predictions -- Saints will sell out to stop the run, and Hurts will throw for 300+ yards including a 50+ yard TD pass.  Also Siemian completes less than 65% of his passes.

Plus, he flipped the ToP. That wears the other team’s defense and keeps the Eagles D fresh.  Key component in the results from exploiting the run game.

Very true. Playing s____y teams helps too.

I'd say it's Scott that gets factored out. Sanders is the starter, Howard is the between the tackles/pass protection guy, Gainwell is out there for the passing game. Scott is the guy that can do all 3 but not as good as the other guys.

I keep hearing this yet Scott has looked better to me than Sanders and Gainwell.

Sanders dances too much and has shown some pretty questionable vision and he's pretty useless as a receiver.

Gainwell has been good in the pass game and inconsistent as a runner, typical rookie ups and downs and when he's in the game defenses are keying on him in the pass game

Where as to me Howard and Scott have looked more decisive, they both hit the hole hard and get positive yards, and Scott has been good in the screen game.

No, not really.  It's getting better.  But Charlotte is such a booming city, it wouldn't make sense for them to have one.  And they haven't had it as long as Miami and Tampa.  Especially where the stadium is....which is right downtown where all of the hustle and bustle is.

I moved to Charlotte in 93 before the Panthers got to town. They relabeled the downtown area to uptown in order to encourage people to come and development in the area.  There used to be not much of anything near the stadium. It is a far different place now.  I think it's now like Atlanta was about 10 years ago.

Which is weird to me because I still don't understand the appeal. He has no personality whenever he talks. Between him going to Alabama, running a lot and speaking in metaphors all the time he really reminds me of Forrest Gump.

I mean was Wentz any different in terms of the press? I think this is just driven by his performance and departure last season.

Scott is 5 for 34, 6.8 Y/R

Gainwell is 20 for 173, 8.7 Y/R

Well, let's see how he actually plays before declaring his effort as a benefit to the Eagles.  He might be awful.

This guy is cool?  :nonono:

I'm not sure they'll look past us. They lost to us last year + Sean Payton/Malcolm Jenkins definitely want to beat us.

I'm not sure about this.

I think NS knows with Jalen Hurts he cant get behind the chains. Sanders is the home run hitter with too many strike outs so to speak.

NS would rather have Howard getting +2, +4 on 1st downs with a chance of 7 yard gain rather than Sanders being -2, -5, with a chance of +65 with this offense.

Hurts isnt a guy we can ask him to convert 2nd and 14's and 3rd and longs while 3rd and manageable opens up a lot of the playbook.

Yeah I said it the other day, I think the best use of Sanders is in the 2nd half. Especially if we have a lead, you hope the defense is a bit worn down from Howard/Hurts in the first, and Sanders with fresh legs has an even better chance of popping a big one. We'll see how it goes I guess.

Not what I said at all. pure observation from a guy who listens to talk radio from 740ish until 4ish every day monday through friday on two different radio channels.

If you anonymously polled all african americans on hurts and all whites, the polls would be dramatically different.

That explains a lot. 🤣

Sanders is the best RB on the team.  Comical to read people acting like he shouldn't be the starter, should be the odd man out or the 3rd back.

If you give Sanders the amount of touches the other RBs have gotten the past few weeks then you will get great production from Sanders.
