I think people are severely overstating Miles dancing around.  You don't get a 4.8 YPC when you are constantly being tackled behind the LOS but bust off a few larger runs.  The only game where he struggled running the ball this season when given the chance was the Chiefs.

He is the best RB on the team and should be given the chance in this new running focused offense to get the most of the rushing attempts at RB.  If he falters then adjust and give more to Howard or Scott but until that point the team is best served if Miles gets fed the ball.

Who am I high on in the front office?

And I'm high on every player? What?

If anything if Sanders does well with a bunch of touches it will increase his trade value.

I'm in a chat group with some buddies, one a Lions fan, couple Packers fans and a 9ers fan...the Lions fan was bored today and posted that since 2000, the Lions point differential is -1,542. They've only had a positive PD 4 times since 1998. Jesus Christ. Pre 2000, Lions were +308.

Packers since 2000 are +1,452. 20th century they were +2,179.

Eagles since 2000 is +1,112. Pre-2000, it's ugly at -806 from 1933-1999.

49ers, since 2000 are -450. From 81-99 they were +2,693, which is crazy. From 50-99 they were +2,096.

Anyway, just some fun with stats on a Wednesday.

You said he should be fed the ball. The hell does that mean?

It means he should get the most of the handoffs of any RB on the roster.

That too.

I think that's completely overblown.  People are talking like he was really struggling this year and losing a lot of yards.  He has been averaging 4.8 YPC this season and that's without being allowed to get into any sort of flow in the game.

If you take away his three 20+ yard carries, that average drops to 3.89.  Take away his 18 yard carry, that average drops to 3.65.  Just like last year, he is boom or bust.  Taking away 4 of his 63 carries lowers his YPA by more than a yard.

If there is any QB I'd want him to learn from, it would be Peyton.

What I meant by Sanders dancing is when he's trying to juke someone at the line like McCoy used to do. If it works it's usually a great run but sometimes it can just end up a TFL

Well yeah... duh.

I really want Kyle Hamilton. Wonder if his injury will make him drop a spot or two.

Thoughts on going after Jessie Bates III in FA?

Except you don’t take away those carries because that’s what Sanders does.  He’s a dynamic player and a home run threat.

He admitted that his contract situation is impacting his play. That doesn't sit well with me.

Yup he's a home run threat but when he's not hitting home runs he's not hitting singles and doubles he's striking out.

If you take away any RBs top 4 runs their YPC will drop.

Take away Howard's longest 4 carries this season and his YPC drops from 5.1 to 3.84.

Take away Scott's longest 4 carries this season and his YPC drops from 4.0 to 3.83.

Yeah I said Gainwell has been good in the pass game, I think Scott has been better every where else

With sanders gone Gainwell has seen less snaps for whatever reason I don't see the point of giving him more just cause Sanders is back.

Imo Scott should have been getting touches early on but tough to get him touches when only running the ball 9 times a game.

I like what the eagles have going with Howard and scott right now

Howard runs so hard and wears on a D and scott doesn't mess around he just gets the ball and hits the hole.

If it ain't broke why fix it?

Cuz Lowie

In over 400 career carries Sanders has a 4.9 yard-per-carry average.  You take the good with the bad because the overall performance is solid.

Having said that, I showcase and trade Sanders in the offseason -- he's just not healthy often enough.

Now that the O-line is run blocking on a consistent basis, let Sanders run 10-12 times a game.   If he’s losing yards then pull him early, if not add more.  Worst case scenario is he puts the Eagles in 3rd and longs in a season that doesn’t mean a whole lot, best case is he performs well and the Eagles get a 3rd round pick for him in the offseason.  No one’s trading for Howard.

San Antonio.  San Antonio is the seventh largest US city.  It is three and a half hours from Houston and closer to five from Dallas.  Can also draw from Austin, about an hour up I35. (I35 corridor has a greater population than PA). Texas is a HS and CFB football state.   Makes sense.

HS and College FB state*  I can't see a 3rd team really flourishing in Texas.  Houston garners some interest but 90% of Texans are either Cowboys fans or don't GAF about the NFL.  I could see OKC getting a team before another city in Texas.

I really want to believe in Sanders.

But it‘s not just health, it‘s drops too. With our OL we have seen that pretty much every RB has solid numbers. If he can‘t catch the ball he‘s nothing special.

That's not much of a drop for Scott, which is the point.

Right. One for three for two yards and an INT. It’s a small sample to be sure. Sirianni went into a cocoon.

This itself is a big issue with me.  I get being conservative and all to a degree, but that was worse than the Dougie P cocoon that lost us so many leads the past few years.  This team isn't supposed to win, they're supposed to grow and be competitive.  He should have continued to let it fly.

What’s the deal with Dallas Goedert? Is he good to go for this week?

I would say assume not unless we hear different.  That was a hard shot to the head he took.

Sanders is the best RB on the team.  Comical to read people acting like he shouldn't be the starter, should be the odd man out or the 3rd back.

If you give Sanders the amount of touches the other RBs have gotten the past few weeks then you will get great production from Sanders.

Sanders has performed below average this year and has had a high percentage of negative runs.  Howard and Scott have less upside but also higher floors.  Sanders needs to do better at hitting the correct hole.  Sanders should start but I don't think Howard and Scott should sit.

Howie will likely ignore the questionable health and extend him

I’ve read a lot of good things about this guy as a Mike/will, playing with speed but able to stack and shed blocks.

Hs anyone seen him play?
