From an outsiders perspective what would you and others think about a team in SLC Utah?

3/2 kegger tailgating, obligatory shot of the Salt Lake Temple, and panoramas of the Wasatch mountains.  Sounds fun.

Miami is likely picking between 6-10 now, and safeties rarely go top 5, so this is very possible. If DEs go early, I think it's Stingley/Hamilton for us. I'm good either way.

Now to convince Howie.

i see the dolphins getting to at least 6 wins. Got the jets twice, giants, Carolina and saints. If they get to 7 that pick is likely 9-13 range.

Because in a market like NY with direct competition with the giants, they can’t just throw in the towel. They have to appear to be trying to win.   A later round day three pick isn’t much of a cost.

I kinda don't Joe Flacco is bringing in a ton of viewers at this point.

SLC is twice as big as OKC in population but so isolated from other population areas that is seems unlikely.

Good location for a 8-team NFL sponsored D league… I’d target a lot of the Hoop-only cities.

Of course, the NFL has no inclination to improve their product - even for a pittance (e.g. full time refs).

Tomatillos?

Absolutely.  My plants started slow but finished the year with a bang.  My first year growing them, so I learned a lot.  Next year, better placement as until they got height the zucchini shaded them. I used tomato cages but next year I may trellis them.

I get that, but money talks.  I can't see a 3rd Texas team surviving and being able to build a fan base.  San Antonio is a city of migrants as well for the most part with it's recent boom/expansion.  Not many there are 'tied emotionally' to the area.

You plop one in OKC and give Oklahomans a reason to cheer against Texas and it's a gold mine.

I think you also have to add in the way the NFL handles expansion teams...minus that weird Panthers/Jags fluke their 2nd seasons in the NFL, expansion teams are doomed from the get go.  SA would be a hard place to build a franchise without instant success without the NFL moving to a NHL way of making expansion teams competitive.

Don't think you realize how big Texas is, and how populated.

Think of Wash, Baltimore, Philly.

Wash to Philly is about the same as San Antonio to Dallas or Houston, and each metro area has more people than Baltimore, and similar to Philly and Washington

True the closest city is Boise about 300 miles away where as OKC has Tulsa under 100 miles away and Wichita where I am now 150 miles away though the majority of fans here are Chiefs fans, not sure how many would be fans if an OKC team though we do seem to have a lot of Oklahoma transplants.

Hamilton/Sanders/Lloyd

Every level of the D improves.

Foundational players.

Maybe even get a trade down somewhere for an extra 1st/2nd in 2023 and still pull the above off.

I'm really high on Lloyd. I would take one of the firsts and trade back to 20ish and take him. I just can't see this regime taking a safety in the top 6 or so. I am hoping they sign one of the top young safeties in Bates or Williams, then draft one in round 2 like Hill, Joseph, Brisker, Catalon, Cine, Battle.

A couple DE sleepers I could see us taking in the top 20 is the other DE from Michigan, Ojabo or Enagbare from South Carolina. DE isnt deep or strong on this team and they do like their d-linemen. It's a position they could even double dip at or sign a FA like Landry, Reddick or Ogbah.

I did tomatillos for the first time last year.  WOW, my plants exploded and actually got bigger than some of my tomato plants.

Hamilton and it’s a no brainer.  Get a CB later.  One that’s played more than 4 games the last 2 years.

4 games in 2 years seems like a better fit though.

Yo yo how are you and hpenis holding up? He was in here talking $hit on you earlier

I was curious about how Mailata stacked up against the other highest paid left tackles in the NFL. I’m going off PFF because that’s the best we got in terms of grading players for a rough idea of their quality of play.

1. Trent Williams - 97.8 (Holy hell)

2. David Bakhtiari - DNP

3. Laremy Tunsil - 59.1 (Has missed much of the season)

4. Ronnie Stanley - 48.9 (Was coming off injury, now injured again)

5. Kolton Miller - 79.6

6. Garett Bolles - 71.7

7. Taylor Lewan - 70.6

8. Jordan Mailata - 78.2

9. Donovan Smith - 80.7

10. Taylor Decker - 58.2 (only played 71 snaps)

11. DJ Humphries - 69.6

12. Dion Dawkins - 69.4

13. Jake Matthews - 67.1

14. Cam Robinson - 63.3

He’s been good. I still think there’s a chance his future is at RT but glad he’s here either way. Great story.!

I discovered that they need a lot of light at the beginning.  Did you trellis of cage?  Mine seemed to outgrow the cage

Apart from these stats, one is a real leader that actually can stay healthy.

Why is he listed 8th in the performance grade list when he has the 4th highest grade? A little misleading.

Used a cage that I normally use for peppers, they outgrew the cages quickly.

They are listed by average annual salary.
