Lattimore will be a helluva test for Smith too. They match up really well vs out new look offense. Great test for us.

We don’t know that.  There are players that have the "injury bug” for a few seasons then don’t get injured again (or barely) the rest of their careers.  We don’t know unless we try.  And I guarantee you Sanders wants to be given as many carries as possible every game.

Lol. Let's let the stats speak:

2019 - Played in all 16 games, but only in games 12-15 did he have carries of 15 or more. In order, he had 17,15,19, and 20. Overall, 179 attempts over 16 games, averaged 11 carries a game.

2020 - Missed games 1,7,8 and 16. In games 2,3,9,10,14,15 he went over 15 carries, which surprised me TBH. In order, though, it went 20,18,15,16,17,15. All in all, 164 carries over 12 games, a 13.67 carry/game average for the year.

2021 - Missed games 8,9,10. Only had 15 carries once, in week 1. 63 carries so far over 7 games, is 9 a game.

In each year, he has been hurt. So, he never has eclipsed 20 carries in a single game, and has been hurt every year regardless. In no years has he averaged more than 15 carries a game. But you think he'll just magically put it together and be able to handle that?

Considering we now have 4 backs likely to dress, and with 2 of the other 3 backs playing really well.....why would you insist on over loading the most talented back of the bunch, knowing it will very likely lead him to get hurt? Just to try it out for the lols?

EDIT: Sanders has 406 rushes over 35 games in his career so far. That works out to 11.6 carries per game. I think that's a great number for him, 10-12 carries per game.

It's puzzling, Lowie went out of their way to make this a pass heavy team, and in the process of doing so might have inadvertently made it into a running juggernaut.

Talk about found gold.

I don't really agree with this characterization.

They drafted Dickerson in the 2nd round who is a road grader.  Miles Sanders had very little production as a receiving RB at Penn State; he was drafted in the 2nd as a conventional RB.  Hurts' stock and trade has always been running more than passing and they spent a 2nd on him.  Dillard's strength was pass-blocking OT but he can do both.

They've drafted 5 WR in the past 3 drafts, but what were they supposed to do?  Every NFL team has to be at least 3-deep at WR.  Jeffery crapped out after 2018, Desean never contributed anything after being signed, and Agholor was gone after his rookie deal and option because he was horrid for 3 of the 5 years in Philly.

It's not going out of the way to be a pass-heavy team -- it's being bad at evaluating/developing WR.

Any LB's on other teams practice squads you guys would take a flyer on?

Howie at the scouting combine... meeting with prospects.

Does this mean that Goedert has been cleared of the concussion or is he still in protocol?

We are a running juggernaut because we truly value the lines. So might not have been planned that way, but still is a result from our philosophy.

What I notice about Hurts runs are he never seems to really get hit or at least hit in a bad way.

Yet. It was the same for Jackson for a bit too. Teams are now hitting him

I think there is a slight difference though. Firstly I think Hurts is a little bigger? Secondly he's not as athletic and so he's content to make the play and get out of bounds whereas i think Jackson backs himself to keep going.

Speaking of PS linebackers.  I wonder if Jacoby Stevens is improving during his time on the PS this year and if he'll have any role on the team next year.  Guy was getting pretty serious reps before he got injured.

The Zac Stacey video is not "shocking” this is happening to women every day. In America: A woman is beaten every 9 seconds There are 1300 deaths & 2 million injuries every year More than 3 women are killed every day by their partner

Sad stuff, hopefully they find Stacy quick

Dan Orlovsky really said Cam Newton has had a HOF career? 😄

What's wrong with these people?  If that's the case then Donovan McNabb should already be in.

Sounds like ESPN hyperbole, this morning Kendrick Perkins said Giannis will go down as the most dominant player ever, taking over for Shaq, lol.

He needs to bulk up if anything.

because again your posting articles of how amazing is and a dog-ish comp.

You did the same thing with how amazing Miles Sanders is yesterday.

Cant wait to see you post a comp of TJ Edwards and Lawrence Taylor.

Lawrence Taylor was an edge defender.  Harry Carson is a good TJ Edwards comp.

Just seen a clip of Slay and Smith going up against each other in practice. It must be said the team does seem very happy and together right now. Smith seems like a really good team mate.

It's usually a graduated return to play.  So I think he's still in the protocol until he's cleared completely to play.

I did some research on this and was surprised how much they had in common.  They're both people.

Yup. And if he's doing individual drills as reported he's in the last step of the protocol.

Ok, so even at 12 carries per game average, are people really worried that he's going to "cost too much" to resign? What team will pay him "top RB money" for an average of 12 carries per game?

But since a good portion of his yards come from receptions, maybe we should start looking at what he brings to the table as a receiver as well?
