I was thinking while I watched the game "there's gotta be someone on the roster who has a better concept of how to return punts"...  what happens with these young guys is that it takes them some time to realize that most everyone in the NFL moves faster than the guys they played against in college...  the most successful punt returners take it straight up the field from a standing start, and usually only go outside if the kick is taking them in that direction...

I really don't think they do, at least for PR.  Huntley and Hightower are probably the most natural KR.

The argument of him being faster at TCU doesn’t equate to him looking slow on that TD pass.

Who said he was slow on that play?

Teddy Bridgewater is slinging it out there. Wow

I thought reagor looked and played way faster than last year.

There were times last year he looked like he was jogging, on his TD he ran hard, even though he made some odd decisions on a couple of his PR he still looked like he was running hard.

Surprised they didn't take any deep shots to him or smith or Watkins all game?

As for hurts don't care about the yards or ave or completion % care that he had 3 tds and zero Turn overs.

Zero ints zero fumbles just played within the scheme and within his limits made few mistakes, good start for him.

I was saying to myself I would have liked to see the Eagles take a deep shot but they stuck with the game plan and it worked beautifully.

Yup Brian Mitchell wasn't the fastest guy in the NFL but he was a great returner because he caught it and immediately went forward and stayed on a forward path.

Watkins and reagor going sideways and backwards all game needs to stop

Just catch the ball and run forward.

Looking at the box score, Cox did not record a stat.

It was a garbage time TD and he looks slow.  This is coming from a Reagor supporter...

?

I think Gainwell would make an excellent returner. He should be practicing catching punts.

Hamler..ugh!

Hands with Hamler

What's funny is that their most successful plays have been the WR screens where they catch the ball don't F around and cut up field.

Yup it was a good gameplan and we'll executed.

Those wr bubble screens take alot of moving parts and the o line and other receivers on most of them did well.

Even on reagors TD it's tough to see but Mailata on opposite side just gets out and destroys his guy, just well coached and executed play as we're a few other screens, all those screen keep defenses off balance so was good to see especially after last year where the screen game was MIA

Wasn't it Gainwell who never returned in college and they tried it in TC without much success?  Agree, the way he moves, it seems like he should be a good returner.

He looks slow.  Do you comprehend English?  Did I say he looks slow on that play?  Did I continue and say he looks above average on that play but slow on all others.....?

was he the one robbed of the sack fumble of ryan?

Maybe GB should of traded Rodgers

Looks like Jerry Jeudy has a bad keen injury. Doesn't look good for him

I was talking about that block earlier, Absolutely beautiful. I’m impressed by Mailata so far. Those bubble screens are gonna cause the D to start creeping up. Especially with this zone reads and the few option runs Hurts ran on. It only a matter of time before those Deep shots start coming.

If I had to pick two teams for the Super Bowl after today’s performance it might be Jameis Winston’s led Saints against the Browns. I’m not sure the world is ready for that

That was huge to me. The fact that it worked so they went to it till they were stopped. Once they got stopped they switched it up and then came back to again later in the game and ran the screens to the other side it was awesome

Yup all that dancing is just wasted steps.

Even one of Watkins I felt like he could have more if he didn't bounce it out and run out of field.

Had he stayed in and split his blockers maybe he's still running or at least more.

Reagor though he ran past some dudes, that play was executed really well and was a complicate play as it looked like an RPO then the pulled that side of the OLine and reagor got an angle and out ran the db.

Seumalo the lead blocker on the play didn't even get anybody but it didn't matter as reagor just immediately turned upfield and ran past his block and the D.

No hesitation just turned and went, wish he'd do the same on his PRs

THEY WERE IN THE SAME F'IN SENTENCE!!!!!

I could get 10 doctorates of English in here and agree that your statement implied that he was slow ON THAT PLAY.

Why not try Boston Scott on PR?
