I did some research on this and was surprised how much they had in common.  They're both people.

Both inside LBs.  If Edward played in Carson's era he would be better.

Ok, so even at 12 carries per game average, are people really worried that he's going to "cost too much" to resign? What team will pay him "top RB money" for an average of 12 carries per game?

But since a good portion of his yards come from receptions, maybe we should start looking at what he brings to the table as a receiver as well?

He's regressed as a receiver.

Howie - people are worried Howie will pay him too much.

And to think a month ago people were saying Sirianni shouldn't be calling more run plays instead of RPO and that Jalen Hurts wouldn't be able to do effective play action if more actual run plays were called.

Except no one said that

Do what you know. Worry about the consequences tomorrow.

Run the ball. It's been working.

only when you "drunkenly" do it?

No, downundermike was beating that drum.   When we were hardly running the ball at all and there was these discussions of well Jalen just isn't handing it off in RPOs.  I was saying well then Nick Sirianni then has to call actual running plays then.  Line up under center and call some running plays. Setup the play action.  Downundermike said that no that isn't in Sirianni to do and Hurts can't play in an offense that isn't RPO.  He isn't capable of doing play action and being effective at it.

Our team, unfortunately.

I was going to say "change my prediction" based on this, but I already took the Eagles to win.

It would actually be pretty disappointing if the Eagles lost at home to a Saints team led on offense by Siemian, Deonte Harris, and Mark Ingram

I was just thinking that if the favorites were to win every single game the rest of the year, the Eagles would almost certainly make the playoffs. They're favored this week, so they'd be 5-6 against a 3-win Giants team the following week. I think they'd be a slight favorite there, probably the slightest they'd be for another month. Then the Jets, where they'd be solidly favored. Then Washington at home. Favorites again. Then favored against the Giants. A 9-6 Eagles team at Washington would be favored too. A 10-6 team against the Cowboys would probably be underdogs, so 10-7 would be the final result. I'm pretty sure that would do it as far as the playoffs are concerned. The Vikings are probably only getting to about 9 wins when you apply that same standard. New Orleans would be at 9 or 10, and at 10 would lose a tiebreak to the Eagles. Carolina gets to about 8 or 9 and would also lose a tiebreak.  San Francisco gets to about 8 or 9. That would only leave the Rams ahead of them in the wild card race.

Of course I fully understand that favorites don't win every game. I'm not stupid enough to think there's certainties involved in this. But I think it's kind of interesting that at this point they're still realistically in the playoff picture.

And if they lose to the Saints, that landscape changes dramatically. Which means that this week's game is truly the most critical game of the year.

Incidentally I'm not necessarily opposed to rooting for the Giants and "Redskins" this week. If the Eagles win the games they "should" the rest of the way, it won't matter if those teams win a few games here and there. And it would screw up their draft position. And if the Eagles flounder the rest of the way, well, if those teams win some random games, it could give us better draft positioning.

I wonder what the chances are of that Chinese female tennis player being seen alive again ....

This week has been entirely too positive. Too much Hurts could be a decent starter and what if we draft these 3 defensive stud playmakers.  Deep down we know it's not right.  Disappointing loss to a team coached by the most punchable face in America with a back up QB and RB.  The only thing that could make it worse would be the Cowboys beating the Chiefs later in the day.  Eagles' fandom is suffering caused by fans' desire to see the team win.  By putting away the desire to see the team win, Eagles' fans can end this suffering.

@LeanMeanGM 'Aints 18 Eagles 15 - Sanders breaks off a 50 yard run but has 10 carries for 54 yards in total.  Hurts passes too much.

I'm still looking for the eightfold way to end this desire to have the team win and I'm not finding it.

Sober me uses the bed tray table that my ex bought me years ago.

Now that I think about it, crumbs in the bed may have been the reason we broke up.
