Just checking in- Anyone else concerned about the lack of down field passing from the Birds in that game?  HUrts 1st TD was nice, but not much after that. Seemed like we were throwing everything within 10 yards of scrimmage. I thought for sure with the speed we have at WR now, we would at least take a few shots?

It’s what ATL’s defense was giving us. 32-6 win. You can’t be too critical.

Phillies lost. Such losers

Such a choke. They have the easiest schedule and the lead and they are blowing it.

The only nitpick on a good day is the Eagles didn't show a lot of big play ability. A lot of dinking and dunking. Hard to sustain scoring that way.

We'll see if that was just the gameplan for that defense or if the coaches don't believe the offense has the guys for big chunk plays.

Sirrani said in his presser that they had a few down field throws in their arsenal but Atlanta did a great job covering them with their scheme so they just took what they gave them underneath.

The Packers are imploding.  It sums up their mad offseason

To be honest it kind of felt like the Eagles off-season after the Super Bowl with Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb. It was never going to end well with the Packers and Aaron Rodgers. I still think thry make the playoffs but I didn’t see them being as good as they were last year with all this dysfunction they had. We talked about it a couple months back I wouldvr taken everything from the Broncos.  You drafted Jordan love to be the future so get as many asset around him so he can succeed. Aaron Rodgers doesn’t really want to be there anymore and now you’re seeing the dysfunction of the whole off-season carry over

I wasn't concerned about it because what they were doing was working, however, I was really wanting to see them stretch the field.  Let's hope the bubble screen success today will lead to some plays built off of them down the road.

The pass and "catch" to Ertz was probably the longest play and should have had much longer results, possibly a TD with a better throw.

If next week they continue to not take shots down the field then we can say it's a concern.  For today though, the play calling worked.

Not concerned but would have liked to have seen a few shots and yet without those deep shots can't complain about the final outcome

The gameplan seemed like death by 1000 paper cuts, we'll executed.

It’s the same story every single year. They are 14-19 against the Diamondbacks, Rockies, Pirates and Marlins. That’s gonna be the difference between them finishing at 500 and missing the playoffs and winning the division. They can’t beat bad

I watched most of the IND-SEA game.  Wentz played well, especially considering he had very little help around him today.  Without Hilton he was pretty much just looking to Pascal, Hynes and Taylor all day.  The Colts OL got their arses handed to them all day long.  None of the sacks Wentz took was him holding the football; it was the SEA DL abusing guys right off the snap.

They killed themselves in short yardage, though.  Lost the ball on two 4th and 1 and another on 4th and 2 which should have been a FG try.

I wish we saw a few just so we had confirmation that we can throw them. But I'm not necessarily worried about it. Good teams take what the D gives them, and they carved up the Falcons in the short game.

The O line was sloppy.  Tons of penalties.  Bad game to tout the O line.  I’d credit play design and Hurts mobility for the lack of sacks given up.  Lane Johnson did not have a good game.

They also had like 7 false starts.

If thats the case, then we were very efficient. Time will tell for sure.

Dude will be gone in 3 years no matter what. The faster the team and everyone else realizes he is nothing more than a playmaking QB who doesn't have the talent to be an effective QB the better. Again, he's little Cam 2.0.

I really didn’t mind at all that much. Because it was similar What the Colts ran when they had Jacoby Brissett and Philip Rivers as the starting quarterbacks. Additionally in years past when we had things working we would tend to go away from it. just keep doing it until they make adjustments to stop it. I was fine with a game plan today because I thought it was a good game plan. When you’re playing a 32nd rank pass defense you should attack it early to get the lead and later in the game when theyre gassed especially in week one you can then run the ball down their throat. It’s exactly what they did

I was thinking they were gonna start slinging a couple down field as well. At the end of the day though they didn't have too which is a good thing to put up the score and yards they did without having to rely on the deep ball.

Hopefully they push it down the field a bit more as Hurts grows with his receivers

This is good to know, I kept waiting for a shot to smith or reagor or Watkins and everything was just underneath, it's good that Siriani and Co weren't forcing it and just took what the D gave and we're still able to put up 30+

No, it's an accurate one. There are QB in the league who can win SB and there are guys who beat crappy teams and dazzle with their playmaking and give people false hope. He is the latter.

They stuck to the game plan. Of course you’d like to see them take a deep shot. They keep running those zone read runs and wr bubbles it will open up the deep passing game

Horrible comparison.  Not even close to the same size, weight, and arm strength.

Hence little Cam, but the point remains. He is a QB who will win with his feet but will get his *** kicked against a good QB in the playoffs because he doesn't have the same talent throwing the ball.

I give the staff credit for starting this way to give everyone confidence.  I also don't think that dink-and-dunk is sustainable.  A turnover or two, and that scheme would get messy.

Also note, that they operated with the same theory on defense.  Keep in front, no mistakes, nothing deep.

In the end, it was a very bad ATL team that we did what was needed to beat them. I am satisfied with it.

Good god man, calm down, enjoy the win.

I know Whiteside got hurt but for the love of god can we give up on this guy? Actually better he's not out there.

You’re right but the sloppy O-Line today was better than what we saw last season

Yup- still it was as easy a victory the team has had in years.

I deleted my post because I realized after I posted it you said little Cam.  Either way, he does not have the arm strength of Cam and he also has a much bigger heart and desire to win.  One good comparison between both could be their ridiculous post game outfits.
