Last year, making the playoffs at 6-10 was dumb. The NFCE was historically bad. In any other division, we go 3-13.

This year, we're beating teams by 10+ points. We have 3 blowout wins in our past 4 games, none of them in the NFCE. Our offense is legitimately good and can play against anyone.

Our schedule this year was harder than last year and 10-7 is on the table.

We have the best running game in the entire NFL, that's something you can roll with in the playoffs.

Sorry to be that guy, but the Giants were 10-6 in 2007, and 9-7 in 2011.

You’re right, idk why i thought the other way

Just finished watching.  Started late.  Few observations:

-Schelreth must have just watched Step Brothers

- That ankle breaker by Hurts was awesome

- Hurts is not a good passer and was not seeing the field well at all.  About 4 times where he had great protection and a ton of time in the pocket and just stood there.   When he started to drop back more that’s again when the offense started to sputter.

- His sideline passes take forever to get there.   He made a nice throw early to Goedert.  But a lot of the other attempts in the second half were just not strong throws.

- I love this style of offense though.   I said it back when we played Tampa.  Just because they have a good rush defense, doesn’t mean you abandon the run.   Just beat the Saints up front today.

- Mailata is incredible.   I knew he was going to go hunting for Davenport eventually.    That was great.

- Reagor is extremely tentative as a returner.   He is just not a good football player.   He’s getting worse.

Go read through the IGT if you want to laugh. Hurts was outstanding and doesn't need to improve as a passer while Siemien and the Saints are as good as Josh Allen and the Bills.

Yup.

I understood tanking by trading at the trade deadline. Once we decided not to do that, you roll with this. Besides, it's not like we're benching young guys to play vets. Who exactly is young and deserves more snaps right now? Gainwell? McPherson?

If the Giants didn't play in New Jersey near a media epicenter, no one would care about them or Danny Dimes. Base them in Buffalo or St Louis, and they'd be a joke at the moment

You don’t remember how pissed they were? Oh man the coaches, players all of them were talking ish on Twitter & in PC. When schedule was released they still made a point to mention first game against us.

I remember and we still did them a favor. They sucked and would have been knocked out their first game

People mention the few times teams squeak into the playoffs to win a SB but that's not the norm

Good d will make Hurts look pedestrian as well.

We just played one of the best Ds in the NFL. So stuff it.

Hurts is unique, he's an elite running QB, it's not just about yards, it's about meshing with your running game, he knows how to play with the DE, and that freezes the DEs and keeps them from helping on the inside run.

What, you expected the Saints to roll over and play dead? They were fighting for a playoff spot and have a lot of players with PO experience, they ain't giving up.

Hurts had one bad throw, the one to Sanders was under extreme pressure and it took a great play, a little late to Smith but another great play, Goedert dropped 2 perfect passes.

The pass protection is still a work in progress, Hurts tried to stay in the pocket but it broke down, and at times the WRs just couldn't get open.

Eagles need a big possession WR to balance the group.

Context matters. Siemien threw the ball 40 times, Hurts only threw it 24 times. Siemien also was down big for most of the second half and faced prevent defenses. Hurts outplayed him by a wide margin today and it's not even debatable. Hurts still needs to get better but saying that he only makes on read and takes off doesn't hold water after recent weeks where he has shown improvement in that very area. It's lazy and time for you and others to come up with something new.

Hurts had the luxury of benefitting from a dominating run game. Hurts also ran the ball like 15 times himself, I'm not sure how many were called runs or him taking off. He's not capable of winning a game with his arm. I've given Hurts credit when he stays in the pocket and makes a throw, but he's not doing it consistently.

Didn't the Saints D have the longest streak of not giving up 30 points?

Well, we smashed that.

Whoa.

The pass protection was excellent. On the missed throw to Sanders, he had all day and started flipping out in the pocket for no reason. He did his patented running in a circle and still had time to throw. That was bad. His pocket presence needs a lot of work.

But I'm not trying to be negative. He made a couple nice throws to Goedert and did well in the running game.

I see a 10 win team

Week 12: @ Giants
Week 13: @ Jets
Week 14: Bye
Week 15: Washington
Week 16: Giants
Week 17: @ Washington
Week 18: Cowboys

This is why he is a good coach. He’s accountable to himself. And he is proven to fix the mistakes

He had a couple of plays that I was going to rip him for leaving the pocket, but I think it was his internal clock that led to him bailing. He can’t expect his blindside to hold up so long, but Mailata was killing it today.

Is everyone else Excited?  We have a nice young nucleus on Offense that's growing before out eyes.  We just shredded the #1 Run Defense like it was nothing.  The Last 4 weeks we've flipped into a completely different team.   Devonta and Dallas still had some yards as well.   Playoffs here we come.

Better comparison is other RBs with multi rush TD games.  Let’s compare apples to apples.

Cowboys aren’t looking too hot. They lose, watch out, the division isn’t lost yet

Say what you want about this team but this team has improved by leaps and bounds over the last several weeks.  Kudos to the coaching staff, Hurts, the offensive line, RB’s, Wr’s, etc and even the defense.  Well done, fellas.

If you can't get excited about Mailata/Dickerson, I can't help you. This was Walter Jones/Hutchinson level dominance.

Cam Jordan is a legit stud DE, and he got ragdolled by the walk-in freezer today

Oh for the love of god. Part of the reason the run game is so dominant is because DE's are often frozen since they have to account for Hurts. The same thing happens in Baltimore and if you'll notice RB's for Baltimore have consistently had an incredibly high YPC average with Lamar at QB. Hurts isn't Lamar but he is probably the second best running QB in the league.

Second, the Saints were without Alvin Kamara and had to trout out the ghost of Mark Ingram at RB who had 16 carries for 88 yards.

Third, Hurts was going up against a much tougher defense than Siemien was.

Fourth, quit changing the goal post. I never said Hurts was a great passer or capable of winning a game just on his arm. What I said was, he has shown the ability over recent weeks to hang in the pocket longer and get beyond his first read more consistently than he has in the past. You continue to ignore that you are wrong about that and come back with the next thing to complain about Hurts over. It's almost like you are just looking for things to nitpick the guy about. But hey, if you'd rather have Trevor Siemien and his completed passes to 8 different receivers good for you.

Will say this though.

WFT looked good @ CAR

Had that game on in the background.

Heineke looked sharp. Big time throws and yards scrambling when plays broke down. McLaurin is a beast. Gibson is hard to bring down.

But I think the Eagles could beat them twice given how well the run game has been lately.
