Well a few weeks ago we did see him more heated than we did in a long time —maybe ever— too.

As you step through the individual players on the Defense, which ones are your top targets for an upgrade, and which ones do you feel are solid?

DE 94 J.Sweat
DT 97 J.Hargrave
DT 91 F.Cox
DE 96 D.Barnett

MIKE 57 T.Edwards
WILL 52 D.Taylor
CB 3 S.Nelson
CB 2 D.Slay
Slot CB 29 A.Maddox

S 28 A.Harris
S 23 R.McLeod

I think everyone besides the safeties are adequate at worst.  But the CBs will age out shortly.

Over the next few years, we need DE x2, CB x2, safety x2.

It's be thankful for your offensive line day

This is awesome

It's nice seeing Mailata get that edge - it will go around the league that he will get at you physically if you piss him off.

Ideally the 3 first round picks in the upcoming draft would be used to replace Barnett (DE), McLeod (S), and either Nelson at CB or a rotational DT as Cox gets phased out.

It's nice to see us playing smash mouth football headed into smash mouth football weather.

low 40ish Sunday against the giants and for some reason that stadium is always windy when the cold weather comes in.

Way too early to tell but it looks very similar the following week against the jets.

Run game goes through Hurts. , he is responsible for 620 of the 1600 total yards rushing , and 8 of the 17 rushing TDs , he goes down and you lose your run game. , his running ability opens things up for the actual running backs .

And more importantly, if you cheap shot one of his guys...which, I guess, would piss him off.

I'm old enough to remember people saying Landon Dickerson was bad in one half against SF coming off the bench 9 months after an ACL tear, without any training camp. What a bust.

TJ is right. Yesterday he lowered his shoulder at least once. I did see one or 2 slides. But on every other run, except the vintage McNabb juke, he ran directly in to would be tacklers.

I think he had a couple of runs out of bounds.  He did lower his shoulder too often.  I mean he took a shot from Jenkins in the first quarter when he could have just slid for about the same yardage. He wasn't going to run through Jenkins for the TD.

Regardless how I feel about him as a passer, it's awesome to watch us run all over as a team.

Or that C/G wasn't a priority position worth taking in the second round

I would have liked to see him try to avoid the hot a little bit and see if he could get a few extra yards, abs maybe score.  For some reason he was running right at guys.

Harris, McLeod, Nelson and a SAM.  Barnett, quite possibly, a potential starter at DT, Kerrigan, Singleton of key rotation players and quite possibly an upgrade at all LB slots.

I think that's true now but that's a different question than whether the team could still be effective without Hurts running the ball.  Just because Hurts is a reason the team is so successful now isn't a reason they wouldn't be without him. They would just have to change the approach.  The other big part of the dominant run game is just how much the o-line is man handling opponents.  They also have 4 RBs that have had success.  It's not like teams are not able to run without a read option threat. Stoutland is coordinating the run game.  He was here when the team had the number 1 rushing offense with Wentz and Foles in 2017.  This o-line is arguably better than that o-line.  Goeddert is definitely a better blocker than Ertz.  I think Hurts makes the running game explosive but it would still be good if he is injured.
