With one interception in his last five starts, Hurts has improved his career interception ratio to one INT every 52.0 attempts, 13th-best in NFL history among QBs with at least 400 pass attempts and better than every quarterback currently in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

That’s definitely been overlooked by many in here. Myself included.

Anybody else still having a hard time processing what’s going on with this team?

Im still very confused here and having a hard time wrapping my mind around this turnaround.

I think is has to do with Lowie allowing Sirianni to finally run his gameplan

I doubt this is or ever was his gameplan

When you are averaging 22 attempts a game, and not throwing to chunks of the field, that is pretty easy to do.

Hate to tell you folks, but the first guy I looked up for comparison was Carson Wentz — and he’s one interception every 53.7 attempts

I was just going to bring this up. Additionally this year Carson has 1 int for every 118 throws.

Because defenders have cinderblocks for hands.

Ehh. Lattimore locked him up for the most part. It’s OK to admit it.

I thought it was 50/50

Not like Smith was 2 for 18 yards, hes not going to embarrass every CB he faces. He clearly won a few of those routes

Sure, he won a few. It wasn’t close to 50-50 though. That’s being a homer. One catch was because of a ton of natural picks (Lattimore actually did a helluva job on the play) and another catch was a 14-yard WR screen that Lattimore made a nice play to stop the TD.

His other two catches totaled 14 yards.

There is a very nice grill in my back yard that I have not used more than four times in the 23 years we have lived here in Nor Cal.  I don't use it because grilling is a lot of work (kind of like mowing a lawn ... we don't have a blade of grass on our 1/3 acre).  I suspect smoking is just as much work as grilling ... certainly more work than filling a cooler with two units of specialized water.   Adding insult to injury, if we added a smoker to our yard we would have to remove part of the garden ... a garden that gives us pleasure 24-7-365.  Tampering with the garden would upset our domestic tranquility, and I know you will agree that restoring harmony to upset domestic tranquility is a LOT of work.  8>)

I use a vertical smoker (antique as at least 35 years old) that resides in my shed.   It takes up very little space.  Smoking doesn’t take a lot of work.  Love having my own smoked peppers that I grew.  Grew paprika peppers this year and slow smoked it with pecan before grinding.  Awesome.

Now, I agree about gardens. Mine will expand next year.  My parent’s backyard was 75% garden.  But I need to grill and smoke.

I love my Weber four burner.  I bought a griddle for it and my smoked (with apple chips) bacon is so much better than the store bought.  The hickory smoked is pretty good.  Only place to cook a burger, IMO, love a pit roast, kabobs etc.  I live in south central PA and grill year round.  A smoked, cheese filled and bacon wrapped jalapeño is hard to beat.

I would gladly give up my lawn.  Mowing is only good for the exercise it offers.

in 2020 mahomes had 19 dropped ints and josh Allen had 21 according to QB data mine. Really this is more of a league thing than just Carson dealing with cinderblock hands

I’m not sure what any of that has to do with me saying Wentz’s numbers are skewed this year because of dropped picks.

He also smoked him on 2-3 routes and didnt get a target.  And a handful of others were dead in the water with no chance for a catch

Saying "it wasn't close to 50/50" is factually wrong

It has to do with Josh Allen who was an MVP level last year had 21 so his numbers would also be skewed. So The point is it’s not just Carson Wentz who has skewed stats every year because of that. So I’m guessing at the end of the year hurts will also have some that were dropped and that skews his numbers. It pretty much happens to every quarterback and some who had MVP level years.

Well, we aren’t talking about those guys’ interception rates. You’re the one who brought Wentz’s interception percentage this year into the discussion.

And you mention that it’s skewed cause of cinderblock hands. So is every quarterbacks. MVP caliber quarterbacks in 2020 had 19 and 21 dropped ints last year. So every QB has cinderblock hands to thank.

I got Smith 4-for-11 when taking out the WR screen, a clear zone where Lattimore passed him off to the safety and another play where it wasn’t even a route because it was a designed Hurts run.

He needed a pick to get open on his big play (but for the sake of the argument I called it a Smith win), he appeared to have him beat on a vertical route and then made a couple of short catches that corners are fine with giving up.

Lattimore won that matchup decisively.

They do. Some benefit more than others.
