Nevermind, diehardfan was right. Hurts blows.

Lets get to mid point of the season first. We played the Falcons who were just as bad as us last year without all the injuries. Thats why I had this as one of my 6 wins on the season. Washington lost to a decent Chargers team. Can;t compare the two so early. Lets hold that thought for a bit and revisit it later in the season.

Wasn't taking away from his TD at all.  The way he caught and turned with the ball was very good.  He just doesn't LOOK fast sometimes.  He beats the CB to the end zone so he's definitely fast.  I think it's his body type/stride that messes me up too.  I thought he looked much much faster at TCU.

I will agree with this.  He's moving, but his speed seems a little deceptive when he hits the jets.      On the punt returns, he's still thinking, and not reacting.  He needs some time to work through that, and it will only come with reps.   Leave him there.   If he flubs it, then find someone else.  But for now, he has the chance for some dynamic returns... but he needs to trust himself, and he needs to learn to just take what's there if he doesn't see a seam.

NFC comes down to the Bucs and the Rams.

I also think Washington with Samuel gives them another dimension. If i were Washington i rather roll with heinicke to see if he’s good enough. I know fitzmagic isn’t. He’s great for a short period. Then average then bad. Then he becomes a free agent and the process starts over.

Just watched other game highlights. If you ever wanted to see what it looks like to have a QB wanting to host Jeopardy more than they want to play football for your team watch the Packers Saints replay.

I was thinking while I watched the game "there's gotta be someone on the roster who has a better concept of how to return punts"...  what happens with these young guys is that it takes them some time to realize that most everyone in the NFL moves faster than the guys they played against in college...  the most successful punt returners take it straight up the field from a standing start, and usually only go outside if the kick is taking them in that direction...

Well, he should have been working on this last year, but they were too busy sticking with old reliable.  I was glad to see him rush up to catch that first punt.  And he secured the other punts cleanly as well.  I'm willing to let him work on it for a while and see what happens.  He was a returner in college and needs to learn NFL speed back there.

Staffords stat padding arm was impressive on that stat padding play

Their defense is going to have to be one of those generational ones to get to the playoffs this year. That offense is terrible. They aren't going from dead last in almost every category to decent with Fitzpatrick or Hinkie ( yes I know what name I wrote fight me!)

No, he had a man bun

I actually think Stafford is gonna have a good year. I think the biggest issue with the Rams offense was Goff. He held them back not mcvay holding him back.

I think their offense has playmakers to be good. Gibson, Thomas, mclaurin and Samuel is a good set of skill position guys. Their biggest issue is QB. It’s why i was surprised they didn’t try to move up in the draft to get one when fields fell

Yep. I never thought he could look MORE like a ****. He proved me wrong.

Just roll with Fields , Dalton is toast

Their line is crap too though can't do sheet with those weapons with no line and no QB

I wouldn’t say crap but they are not great. I’d say way further along than the giants.

Don’t really care what the analytics say: some of these teams deciding to go for it on 4th down is getting out of control. Do the analytics take into consideration that Andy Dalton is your quarterback?

Just checking in- Anyone else concerned about the lack of down field passing from the Birds in that game?  HUrts 1st TD was nice, but not much after that. Seemed like we were throwing everything within 10 yards of scrimmage. I thought for sure with the speed we have at WR now, we would at least take a few shots?

I think Sirianni mentioned that.  But, at the same time, they didn't need it.  Why unveil it once the game was clearly in their grasp.

Happening as of game #2.

They were bottom 5 in yards per carry and rushing total. They were top 5 in sacks given up and a few other stats that show bad line play. They weren't good

I liked Van Jefferson coming out as well but I don't think the eagles would have taken WR back to back in the first 2 rounds of the draft, then again I didn't think they'd take a back up QB in the 2nd rou d either, he did ok though today

Rather Van didn't go to Rams though, they do t need any more weapons, good pick.

I know Whiteside got hurt but for the love of god can we give up on this guy? Actually better he's not out there.

He did a nice job blocking today.  A bit of a backhanded complement to be sure, but it's something.

Did he even play today?

He was on ST.   Saw him on Kick off coverage.   I don't think he got any snaps on offense.
