Well, I think we should start a petition to get Hurts included in the ROTY voting.  It is such a slap in his face for him to be excluded from that.  It is so hate based.

Well some of the things he did sure were special, glad you noticed.

Funny thing is I grew up in the South but despise it.  My coleslaw has a cream and lemon base that would make you gage at ever eating mayo again. I have a mustard, cream based potato salad recipe that would make you foresake mayo based forever and on top of that never get food poisoning. JR’s avocado based crab cakes are the bomb   Mayo is never worth the calories. I hate that some restaurants call flavored mayonnaise an aioli.  It’s not.  There is a reason that midwesteners outlive southerners and it is mayonnaise.

Cream is a nutritional alternative to Mayonnaise? It may have better aesthetics, but come on! 🤣

I'd blame fried foods, I mean you know what they serve at the Texas State Fair.

And is this an admission that Houston is a southern city?

He does a good job a lot breaking down each play and I definitely think Hurts is improving every week. I knew that already but this just confirms it. Jalen is basically a rookie QB and I am impressed with him getting better every week. I hope we roll with him next year and use all of our draft picks and money on upgrading other positions.

i hope we get a better qb

Well I guess some people will use every chance they get to downplay Hurts stellar rise.

Or fools can stop pretending hurts has had anything close to a stellar rise

You are in denial.

That‘s ok though, he‘s here to stay. Let‘s see how long you guys can keep it up.

"If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with"

As long as Hurts shows improvement, and the team improves around him, "dance with the one that brung ya."

At worst, you reach the point where you can't get any further in the playoffs, then you look to upgrade - but don't sell the house for a QB like Stafford.

I disagree when it comes to analyzing his play. I’m not analyzing the final score.

And you can over analyze their play if you want, but I promise you that as long as the end result is a win people that matter couldn't care less

Nick Foles disagrees.

In practical terms for this offseason the pocket QB available on the market will be Jimmy G.

Hurts will keep the job through 2022; we'll see about 2023

There is a lot of irony as you continually call him a rookie.  BTW... I can continue to call that statement factually inaccurate as long as you continue to call him a rookie.

As far as the stellar rise... the offense's effectiveness has risen as his number of passes have decreased and his number of rushes increased.  That's not sustainable, so we'll see how long he can keep it up.  Winning because of the QB's running generally has a limited shelf life.  He'll either add to this skill set, or he won't.  The clock is ticking.   He should look really good though in the coming weeks against the dreck of the league.

Funny how you feel the need to diminish his future play in advance.

We got to a point where even you know he will look really good in the coming weeks! Says it all.

Yep... I know that the Eagles play the Giants, Jets and Washingteam in the next 5 games.  It really does say it all, doesn't it?

Jalen set to take the Eagles to the playoffs in his second season just as Wentz, Foles & McNabb did.

And he will do it with the very impressive numbers for the first year starter of 3,560 passing yards, 20 passing TDs, 8 interceptions, 955 rushing yards & 12 rushing TDs.

Jalen set to get his ass handed to him if he does. He is not an NFL starting QB for a SB team. One of us will be right. We'll see.

This is patently wrong, and is pretty much the opposite of good coaching.

Good grief.

No reason he can't be.  The offense with him physically over powers teams, they don't turn the ball over often, they control the clock and they score points.

The problem playoff time will be that this defense has shown it cannot keep good QBs from completing under 80% of their passes.

I'm not sure there's any meat on this narrative other than being a narrative

I believe Lurie wants to win and doesn't care how it gets done.  The Eagles seem to want 2 starter-caliber QBs on the roster; I buy that.

They went from Wentz-Foles and reaped a SB out of it, to Wentz-McCown which was unacceptable.  They drafted Hurts because they wanted a starter-caliber backup again.  Now they've brought in Minshew because they know he can start if Hurts goes down.

I don't think the type of QB or type of offense really matters to him.  He wants to win and doesn't want to be in a playoff game with a 40+ journeyman backup QB at the helm.

I would submit if you're correct you should consider Hurts as good as gone this offseason -- he's not going to be sufficient operating any sort of passing offense IMO.

I was talking more about him going up to Schwartz after the Super Bowl victory and telling him the defense sucked.

Edit: And him questioning Pederson for running so much against Green Bay after a big win.

Thats called settling and its for failures.

if you dont have the guy, you need to be constantly trying to find the one you can win a title with

McDaniels crushed Schwartz in SB52.

Still, what a dumb and odd comment to make.

Process matters a great deal to success.

The first half wasn't all that bad, although NE left plays and points on the field.  The 2nd half was disturbingly bad, though -- agreed.
