I  will present my understanding since you lack the fortitude, courage, and integrity to be explicit:  you are suggesting the poster is homosexual and are insulting them for being so.  If I am incorrect please explain.

If Hurts starts in 2022, our cap situation is actually fine. Our QBs would be making a combined 3M.

And we will still have no quarterback

C’mon we just need Rocket Ismail across from Smith and we are in the chip.

I've heard we need a big WR opposite Smith... the last one we drafted turned into a ST player.

I’ve become less picky - big, fast, meh - just an excellent WR will do fine.

For the offense the Eagles are running they only need a third target.  Smith was drafted #10 overall to be WR1.  Goedert will be making $14M per season to be the #2 target in the offense.  Those two would ideally have a high volume; the third target would be a Torrey Smith-type reliable deep option to stretch the field.

Reagor will still get 2022 to show whether he can or cannot be that player — for better or worse

Well, right now, Smith and Goedert are getting open often with the help of the run game.  The third option is not as necessary in this scheme.  Plus, we have RBs that can catch and Quez.

IMO, for what we are now, a dependable backup OL may be more important than an upgrade at 3rd receiving option.

And that doesn't even consider the need for talent on D.

Quez had 64 snaps and 1 target. There’s a couple possibilities of what is happening there. I’ll leave that to the all-22 analysts.

Overall, I think the coaches should have the WRs watch some old SEA tape - our scramble drill game is uninspired.

The Lions have had a Thanksgiving game going back to the 1930s... you cannot take it from them.

And if you choose not to watch, that's fine, but it's their game... always has been, always should be.

Me neither.  I've been patient.  He's regressing.  And that's hard to do for a guy thats never accomplished anything.

Of course you can move the games to other teams or even make the team travel once in a while.  Tradition is nice, but at some point you need to concentrate on the better match ups and ensure there is fairness in the schedule for all teams.  Dallas and the Lions have it way easy knowing they will play at home on a Thursday each  year. No trips to the other end of the country, etc on a short week and the lack affect to practice., recovery etc.

Nope.  Your ignorance is showing.

LOL.  Too much egg nog?

NO MORE 1ST OR 2ND DAY WIDE RECEIVERS!!!!!!!!

This WR room is fine. The TE is Top-10. There is absolutely no reason to spend more resources on WR. Taking a late round flier would be fine.

I’m fine with DET and DAL playing every Thanksgiving - it’s that they always get it as a home game. There’s competitive advantage there, if that’s the only Thursday game they have to play most years.

or what you said.

I mean, I'm not reaching for one but if a good one is available and matches your board you absolutely take em.

We have 1 good WR, 1 good TE, then a bunch of question marks at best.

I think the answer should be in FA, we already have a ton of youth - and just need to buy some mid-level production. This was a theme last offseason, but Howie ran us out of $.

Yeah... the Detroit Lions sure have taken full advantage of that! .  Last playoff win was 1991.

And for Thursday night games, they are almost always teams within the same time zone now... that's been a change, which is why we see so many divisional matchups on Thursdays.  So, teams don't have to worry about those long trips anymore.

Some things are more important than the bottom line.   As I pointed out, the Detroit Lions have hosted a game on Thanksgiving since they existed, dating back to 1934 (except 1939 and 1940 for bizarre reasons)... and it would be WRONG to change it now for the sake of whatever you think would improve the experience for you.   Have a sense of history or tradition and be willing to accept it rather than look to mix it up for whatever reason you may think exists that would justify it.  I'll just have to hope that the NFL has a better sense of Thanksgiving traditions in the US than you do and leaves well enough alone.

I like Quez a lot and think he's valuable as a field stretcher. But he has been like a 2-3 reception per game receiver for us. If we think a true WR 2 is available for us I'm not going to be upset about them taking one.

Now to be clear they 100% need to address DL and DB early in the draft (and ideally LB too). But WR isn't that far behind IMO.

I'm OK with this route too.

They force the bubble screens to Tweet, Quez has already proven that he can take those to the house… they should make an effort to get him the ball.

I know I'm going to get crucified for it, but I really wouldn't mind taking a look at Jamison Crowder in FA. He's still fairly young, shouldn't cost a ton and has been a solid player when he's actually had a QB.

Would instantly be a big improvement to our slot.

Why not go for another WR1? They can be found in round 2, with our new WR coaching / scouting
