We‘re not that team anymore. The moment the opponents try their best to stop the run, Hurts will throw it with even more success. Just wait and see.

Really, I gotta disagree, but hoping you’re right

Hurts is 0-4 in games he passes for more than 300

Eventually he has to win one when he passes for over 300 yards right?

Ridder needs time and development but he is such a smooth passer, just a natural thrower of the ball.

Sterling Shepard out for the Giants on Sunday.  Toney and Rudolph are doubtful.

They got that one right..

You’d think so. But it might be one those trends where it’s generally unfavorable. Like Wentz throwing more than 40 times in a game is 5-17-1

@LeanMeanGM 24-21 Giants

Liked those stats in his PC..

Ranks first in the NFL in explosive plays (78) this season.

Second highest red zone passer rating (112.1) in the NFL

well if i'm not mistaken teams know were going to run down their throats and haven't stopped it yet , i hope howard being out doesn't hurt that.

Yeah sure, I think to really slow that down they have to sell out though. And if they do Smith and Goedert will put up monster numbers.

Man if Ridder is there by the time of our 2nd round pick, you gotta consider pulling the trigger on him.

The guy needs time and development anyways, let him develop for a year or two while Hurts is on a dirt cheap contract.

QB Factory? I thought a second is too high for a backup? 😄

I think Minshew is good enough though.

Any bloggers in Pinehurst  this weekend?

I wouldn’t be shocked if some team does what the ravens did when drafting lamar and trade up into the late first like 30-32 so they get the 5th year option on him. I like Ridder a lot. He reminds me of a lesser arm version of josh Allen because of his athleticism and what you think he can achieve if he fixes his flaws. However i think josh Allen had a higher ceiling and you are going to need a daboll type of coach that can fix his inaccuracy when throwing and it might take 3 years like Allen to get to the point where he’s at least competent as a passer. I don’t see the eagles taking him. If the eagles went for a QB in the first two rounds i think it would be corral or someone like Pickett.

Games where the Eagles were probably playing catch up

Cant see why we should Give reagor another year unless the draft board leaves us next to nothing. Find a mid rd slot guy

The problem with a mid round draft selection is that like Quez Watkins the drafted player is going to mean a year of development and very little production from that drafted mid round player. I think we have the potential for Rager to make the most of his skill set which is certainly a whole lot more than mid round. But I understand your perspective I’m just not there yet

That was legendary. I think it was after the game during the playoffs of the '08 season. The Giants were coming off their Super Bowl victory the year before and had been a stellar team all year long. Then Plexico shot himself and the wheels started to fall off a little. And then the Eagles beat them in the playoffs. And the dude lost it. It was hilarious.

But it's disturbing in a way that those SOBs won another Super Bowl a few years later with an even crappier team, so we know that that crybaby got to celebrate some more.

Thank God that 2017 happened.

That's right it was the year we lost to Arizona in the NFCCG.  That's the most pissed I've every been after an Eagles loss.

Beating the Giants in the playoffs in their house was awesome though.

Yup

Only warning I ever got on eagles board from a moderator was when I said JJ and his D including Dawkins choked in that game.

A moderator said I was trolling🤷‍♂️

That game was rough, that whole year was rough , think that was the year McNabb git benched against Ravens then they squeaked into the playoffs went on that run that all ended with the disappointment if that Cardinals loss where the offense played really well but the D couldn't contain Fitzgerald who had a historical post season.

More frustrating that the Steelers then went and won it, could have been an all Penn Superbowl but eagles choked.

How could a rookie give us less production than reagor??

Not this weekend,  or any other weekend in my life.

Because hurts.

I truly believe that in the current offense as designed for hurts the 2nd receiver could be Jerry rice and he'd get limited looks.

Hurts at this point is a one read if it's not there take off QB, and apparently none of the receivers know what to do on a scramble drill which is a problem when the QB scrambles so much.

Tough to evaluate the receivers with hurts and the current offense.

Not sure if reagor would be any better with a better passing qb but we won't know til he has one

Probably. Likewise if we are asking Hurts to throw for more than 300 we are probably in a similar situation

Desmond Ridder is not a good prospect.
