Does PFF grade offensive lines as a whole?   Would be interesting to see how our’s grades out so far this season.

Did you see the contract Mel Tucker just got? Shoot, I'd take the CFB gig too. Job security, better than NFL money, get treated like a god for 20 years.

One of those is likely the Kelce replacement at C or they draft one.  Seumalo is returning from a foot injury which can really impact a G.  Not yet sold on Driscoll as a starter.

Agree on Driscoll, not sold on him especially at guard, I think he might be a better fit at center due to his short arms but not sure eagles have even tried him at C in camp, he played some in college.

It's too bad seumalo went down, hopefully he can make a full recovery, glad eagles value OL depth.

And is coming off an injury...

So Howie trades up for him.  He was a flat out stud pre-injury.

End of season they usually do it a couple weeks after the regular season ends.

I know during the draft process Driscoll said or alluded to the eagles worked him out at center amongst other positions.

Maybe he could be Kelce replacement and playing him at guard at least gets him up to game speed.

Be interesting to see if this is kelces last year, he's had another all pro year in my opinion after having an up and down start to the season.

Going to be keeping an eye on Ojabo today.

Make sure to watch some FSU Jermaine Johnson too.

I wanted to watch stroud since I keep seeing his name come up in the blog and of course it's snowing

The thing with kelce is how they structured his contract. I would’ve thought this was his last year but he’s playing at such a high level still i wouldn’t be surprised if he wanted to continue playing. But then again his contract which is explained here

Wilson is great, but is starting to slip.   Most QBs do not age like Tom Brady.   Hurts will probably never be close to Wilson's best, but he could be much closer to current, aging Wilson next season.

That is because most QBs now are running backs that can throw. The NFL is moving in the wrong direction for QBs, turning it into a college style offense.

To have a Brady like QB you need a pocket Qb with a quick release and knows how to read a defense for quick decision making. Brady knows how to take care of himself in that pocket. Not saying a QB cant have mobility like a Rodgers, Herbert, Stafford and Mahomes. But you cant have a QB taking off after the first read.

Only QB I would draft in this draft is Pickett and I wouldnt trade up to get him. If he is there at our pick Im fine with drafting him. I would not be interested in any other QB in the draft nor trading for one. I don;t buy in on Hurts is the future, however I do buy in he could be the only option next year while we build the team up until we get that accurate quick minded passing QB for the future in a later draft.

And there goes Michigan's momentum...

I think there is a real possibility that the Lions pass on Kayvon for Hutchinson.

Some people prefer coaching in college than the pros. That's ok.

It is a much easier gig.  Much easier to be 'successful' in NCAA as well.   Win a lot of regular season games, beat your big rival, win the conference division... and win your bowl games.  Very few programs are focused solely on winning a championship... most are about winning your conference and bowl games... and beating your rival is huge.

In the extreme... Army and Navy can basically lose every game every year, as long as they beat the other one... it was a successful season.

But, lesser so... OSU has to beat Michigan.  Alabama has to beat Auburn.  Cal has to beat Stanford... and vice versa.  Any other success will always be mitigated if you can't beat the rival... and any failure will be mitigated if you can.

Is there any way he could restructure if he wanted to stay?

Ojabo is very explosive and is a legit first rounder, but it's clear at this stage of their career, Hutchinson is a cut above.

How things shake out a few years down the road might be another conversation.

Kelce doesn't look to be slowing down, he's been really good this year,I can't imagine the Eagles wouldn't want him to stay if he could

Question I guess will be whether Kelce wants to keep playing ???

I think he hangs them up after we win the SB again

I’m guessing there’s a way around it but the person to ask is likely the guy on Twitter who runs spotrac.

I still see Driscoll as the OC of the future... but is too valuable at RG/RT right now to move him.  I think he needs a full offseason to train at OC before they move him to center.

Put Driscoll at OC, flanked by Seumalo and Dickerson and you have plenty of beef on the inside and enough athleticism, and don't need to use a first round pick for a center to draft the kid out of Iowa.  Frankly... a first round pick at center had better be a ten year All-Pro.  Other than that, its a bit of a reach for that position (not the player).  It wouldn't be the best use of resources.   I'd rather select a more premium position player (pending who is available, of course) and 'make do', with Driscoll, Seumalo and Dickerson inside.  And its not a foregone conclusion that Kelce is gone after this year either... so no need to 'force' the pick at center for Linderbaum.  He's going to be a great pro, but this team has a lot of concerns, and there will be a lot of other talent available... unless he is way way better than the other players available, I'd really not be super happy with that pick.
