I don't know how well ties would work in college though. The ranking system is already confusing enough lol.

Too bad.  :P   Stop the ranking and just go to a full playoff with the conference winners.  (No at large bids.)

His numbers are worse in every way.

Here's some context for you: In his first year, he was learning an NFL playbook, learning the speed/strength of the game, while having an offensive line that was terrible, a QB that was terrible, no help on the other side and battled injuries the entire season. Oh, something about no camp either.

Now he's familiar with the way things are, has help, etc. He's doing things the coaches ask him, sure, but he's also had opportunities to make plays and has failed. He's not a rookie and still makes dumb, rookie mistakes.

He's had more cryptic tweets than catches in the last 6 weeks.

So your saying he’s basically a rookie

yeah.

Unfortunately a lot of spazz plays. And Maxey deferred to him too much.

No.  No ties.   Donovan said so.

You'd be surprised how few ties there'd be if there were no OT period.   A team scoring a TD late to pull within 1 would likely go for 2 more often than not.  Go for the win... It would change the late game strategy, and likely make it a better product.

@LeanMeanGM

Missing Taylor on defense and Howard on offense will hurt.  Singleton good for a whiff against Barkley.  We do have the giant killer and Scott and Boobie will get their share of carries.  Gainwell will be active and get some runs.  Maybe this is the week that Sirianni breaks out the pass to the backs in a serious way.  Giants get Barkley back but are real banged up at WR.

Lincoln Riley chose LSU over the Eagles.

Yup Riley turned down the Eagles because he knew that LSU would fire Ed the next year and potentially offer him a job.

Speaking of college coaches, should an nfl tram hire the K state coach? A 3-3-5 could be quite valuable these days

And he was disappointing last year and he's still disappointing this year.  So, you are proposing he's not regressing.  But even if he's holding steady with his disappointing rookie season, that's not good enough for a first round pick.  It's not even good enough for a 3rd round pick.

He's under contract to the Eagles now.  What his past Draft status is is irrelevant.  In business they call that sunk costs.  The only thing that matters is (1) the alternative to him in the near term, and (2) the fiscal realities associated with the alternative of letting him go elsewhere versus keeping him and using him.

All the rest is fluff.

I’m excited for tomorrow.  My distain for NYG doesn’t dissipate because they have been a joke for a decade.  F them.  Go Birds.

Joe Judge makes it even easier for them to F themselves despite being irrelevant for a decade.

I'm well aware of sunk costs.  It was a poor investment when it was made, and it is increasingly insufferable to watch as each successive week unfolds.   But, this conversation originated when you said the 'jury is still out' on Reagor.  It isn't.  The jury is back, but the judge doesn't want to hear the verdict, because it makes his draft history look bad again.  They are keeping Reagor because they have to (his contract his guaranteed) and they don't have anyone else to replace him, not because he's irreplaceable.

So, the rest is not fluff, it is called keeping the guy who decided to go against his scouts accountable for a horrible draft night decision.   No fluff involved.   Maybe the team would be better with a guy like Justin Jefferson rather than Reagor on the roster... maybe.  And maybe they'd be better off with someone else making the draft day decisions than Howie... just maybe.

Big games this weekend.  Great day for college football  some great matchups next weekend too.

But the Honorable Superior Court Judge of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Douglas Irvin Pederson was let go of his judicial duties for such an erroneous blunder of common law.

He burned LSU in his post have press conference. "I will not be the next coach at LSU." Now I think they try to poach Stoops from Kentucky.

The NFC BEAST Game of Thrones begins.   5 Division Games in 6 weeks.   First up, G Men.    In an odd situation, the Eagles will have to go to the same road stadium in back to back weeks.   I think that has never happen in the regular season.   Luckily it's right up the turnpike and the Eagles have been Road Warriors this season.  The G Men have been a mess overall but has some decent wins.   Daniel has regressed and continues to turn the ball over.    But he does have flashes especially in his running ability.  Defense just has to bring the pressure.   They threw Jason Garrett under the bus so expect them to come out motivated.   We just have to take care of business.   The Giants D has one of the worst Run Defenses, we have no excuse even with Jordan out.  NFC East games are tricky and you can throw records out.   I like our chances with Boston Scott in the backfield.   We can not get away from what we do.  We must continue to force the issue up front.    This is Jalen's 16th Start and will officially be enough games for a full season.

Time to bury them.
