Wentz just threw a pick.

he made 1 hop to make the 1st guy miss, and then should have taken off up field. But he made a 2nd hop instead and let the 2nd guy close and make the tackle. Why?

Well, I agree with you.

Hurts is less than 20% chance of being the long term guy, Minshew is 0%.

So, they’re gonna ride the season out with Hurts just to see how much he can progress.

We might be getting Flacco next week

I know its not exactly a by the game thing, but roughly, have we secured the 1st round pick if Wentz completes this game today?

They know that.

Yeah, and we all know that, too.  Minshew isn't the future starting QB of this franchise.  But, he is a better passer of the ball, a better 'natural' QB than Hurts.  Let's see what Siri's O can possibly be with a QB who can actually make some NFL throws, which Minshew has proven he is capable of doing.  Maybe see what our young WRs can potentially do with a QB who gets the ball out on time and can throw to all thirds of the field instead of mostly the right third?  Maybe have a chance to take the training wheels off the O?  Maybe?

The future starting QB of this team is NOT on the team right now.  Certain most of us here know this.

Honestly, the progression would have to be stupendous.  I just don't want to use our 1st rounders on a QB so hoping next TC is a competition between back up QBs
